I hate that that there are not a lot cashiers manning a register, and I hate that they run out of bags more often then they should. You would think they would post a sign at the door so you don't fill a cart without bags and have to leave. Positives: Good hours, they have what I need, they have a pharmacy, it is a clean Walmart, products are nicely displayed unlike Walmarts in larger cities. Staff are generally pleasant, and they have a lot of self check out's making a quick run to the store quick and convenient. Oh, they have a great deli and bakery area, and clean stocked bathrooms.

This is ridiculous. We drive 25 miles to pick it up. I don't understand why always the confusion. This was I thought the best of what was left to choose from between Brookings Oregon where I live and Crescent City. Given the distance we try and combine trips if possible to make it cost effective. The pharmacist especially cold and rude but for 2-3 prescriptions per month I can deal with it. About 10 days ago I got an automated text that said my prescription was ready. My sister went into hospice and we were unable to pick my meds that Saturday because when I got there they were on lunch. I called on Sunday to ask if my prescription would still be available on Thursday which was my next scheduled trip to drive the 35 miles to Crescent City. Prior to leaving I checked their website to make sure they wouldn't be on lunch. I got there 30 minutes before their lunchtime listed and was informed that they had taken my prescription off the shelf and it would have to be refilled. After explaining that I drove 35 miles and had tried on Saturday to pick them up he said sorry you'll have to come back this afternoon. That might sound nice and excellent customer service but the way he said it was like oh well,tough luck. I told them I could only get back in maybe a week. They said fine but it was more like I'm not helping you so go away. I am going to pick up this prescription sometime this week and cancel all my refills to this pharmacy. They are inefficient and rude. I guess they haven't figured out paying customers is what pays their wages.

And when you buy something they ask you...."would you like this gift wrapped". Also they have a nut counter... you know or maybe you don't remember being able to go in to a drugstore and buy warm nuts. They keep all the nuts under a heat lamp and they are warm and tasty when you want them. Everyone was helpful and nice... guess it goes along with the Brookings experience.

The very nice lady at the counter asked me if I had a discount card, I told her no. She gave me info and said to go over a few aisles and apply for one. that she would run it through again. I did..... when it was all done, it less than 20.00. I appreciate her taking the time to help me, even though they were busy. This is what is it all about. I am switching to this location because of the personalized service these pharmacists offer. We ran out of med, then had delays getting it in stock locally. CVS kept telling us tomorrow, everyday and Walmart told me I had to get the prescription transferred, but they also didn't even have in stock and couldn't say when they would. I called CC Community pharmacy and they offered next day fill, even offered to deliver to my house, but I could pick up. No other local pharmacy has offered same day delivery. They could go online and link to all my family members' prescriptions (we are on Medicare) and able to refill any of our prescriptions, just like that, without me calling the doctor's office or the other pharmacy we were using. They did all this for me. Walk in vaccines too, which is super convenient. You are not on hold or waiting for a return phone call like what is normal at Walmart and CVS.

My wife had called the day before and told the representative exactly what she wanted. I picked up the product, took it home and after my wife looked at it she said it was not what she asked for. She then called and spoke to the same person at which time she changed her story about the product. I then took the unopened product back to the store along with my receipt for a refund. I was told that that particular product was non-returnable and there was a sign speaking to that. I never saw a sign as the clerk handed me the product. I then spoke to an individual behind the counter and she refused to take the item back. I was never told that the item was non-returnable at my time of purchase, and it does not say anything about that on the receipt. I told the clerk that I would be disputing the charges with my credit card company and left.

Approximately three hours later, right before closing on a Friday, they call her and state they do not have the insulin needed. This made my wife wait an entire weekend without medication. We could have been calling other pharmacies for the insulin if they did not mislead us about her medication.
