Worst part about this place is the speed at which they work at in the pharmacy... they walk around like mummies.

I'd love to give this place 5 stars, but there's a few issues. The only reason I'm giving this review more than 1 star is because of how friendly our cashier was. They are extremely under staffed here. Our cashier was running back and forth, answering phones, printing pictures, helping by the photo section, ringing up customers, greeting customers, and directing customers to isles. All alone, all by herself. It's ridiculous and you feel stressed just witnessing all of it. I'm sorry to the cashier for having to deal with such poor management. Be reasonable and hire some more employees. read more

Lenny, the pharmacist is very helpful and from his tone of voice, appears to have a genuine caring demeanor. I will remain a customer as long as he is there. The pharmacy techs that run the front desk are worthless, a good house cleaning, (ie fire every last one of them) would be a good start. read more

Don't go during peak hours without a minimum of a 30 minute wait time. I've learned to try to get there 1st thing in the morning or right before they are closing. I love the option of the drive thru since I do not shop at CVS for anything other than my Rx's, but this pharmacy has got to work on the length of time it takes to do anything. Both my doctor & my kids' pediatricians office complained about the difficulty dealing with this store. My son had a special Rx that kept going back & forth with insurance approval. It took even longer because the pharmacy would claim the Dr's office never faxed them the info, the Dr's office would insist that they sent it on such & such date... I finally had to physically stand in the Dr's office, watch them fax it, drive to CVS, wait 45 min in the drop off line to speak to the lady & direct her to the fax that was just sent. She finally confirmed she received it & then sent me to the pick up line to pick up my other Rx's that were waiting for me. Once again, another 30-45 minute wait standing in line to pick up. You would think the customer service training would kick in & the 1st lady would have gotten my stuff right then & there to send me on my way (since I had only been going back & forth about a month at that point for the problem Rx), but nope, no such thing happens at this pharmacy. Unfortunately, the convenience keeps me coming back & the types of medical issues my kids have seem to prove difficult for most pharmacy's (trust me I've taken my business elsewhere in an attempt at better service). In the end, I give them 2 stars because once you learn their system & accept that they can't expedite anything, the drive thru pick is convenient and there is one staff member, whom I continue to forget to get her name, who is phenomenal. She speaks & understands English very well, is extremely efficient navigating their system & providing you with updates. I jokingly told her they need to make 10 clones of her & they would be top notch. One of these days I will get her name & update this post because she really is terrific. I have seen an improvement in the last 6 months, again, I don't know if its my doing or not, but it's certainly helped me work on my patience, that's for sure! read more

Number one reason to not go here: there are almost always beggars outside the doors. This place sucks! People who work here are rude & insensitive. Pharmacy is the slowest ever. They don't even make you feel good when you finally get service. But what bothered me most was that awful feeling of needing to go home & take a shower. The place is filthy. Love this CVS after trying most the local Pharmacies! Great pharmacist at this one. They have great attitudes!

I get my prescriptions here and my doctor prescribed me some pills in April( now it's the end of June) and I kept calling them like do you have my prescription and they kept saying my doctor never sent anything so I called my doctors and had them send it again and then after a couple days I called cvs and they said they still didn't get it I honestly had my doctor send it like 4 times and was calling Cvs like every week to see if they had it ready. FINALLY they had it ready a couple of days ago. I went in and when I picked it up on the bottle it even says order sent in April call for pick up! Like seriously they received it in April and kept saying they never got it. It's been two months of me trying to get my medicine and they had it the whole time they just weren't calling me and kept telling me they didn't have anything. Worst service ever I do not recommend this pharmacy. They need to get better employees! read more

Okay I dont usually give out bad reviews but LARA at the pharmacy is a bully. I have been there few times and she is always very short with everyone. Today she spoke to an older arab gentleman with some language barrier as if he's less of a human. If I can give the customer service less stars, I would. read more

Every time I come here, the service is very slow. Nice employees, but have no sense of urgency. Last night, I came to pick up my prescription. After waiting in line for quite some time, I was finally at the counter. I had to assume that my prescription was misplaced because the technician looked all over the place for it without saying a word to me. Nothing! I was there for 15 minutes when a name technician told me to step aside while the female technician serviced other customers. By this time, the line grew. I waited another 10 minutes while this technician serviced the drive-thru customer. My prescription was finally found, I was rang up, and was told to "Have a good night". No apologies, no explanations. Not a thing. I've had it here. I'm finding a new pharmacy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you have an hour of your time to spend here. read more

This pharmacy sucks! If I could I'd give them zero 's the pharmacist is very rude. I came in earlier and my prescriptions were one day early and I explained to the pharmacist that I always come straight from my Dr's appointment and I always get them filled that same day. I usually go to a different CVS to get my prescriptions and they all know me. I never have a problem their. Then the pharmacist told me he would contact the Dr. And give me a call back..... well he never did! I came in on my own and when he seen me he said " oh I just got the ok from your Dr. " yeah right! Walked in tonight 5 mins to closing, just to grab something real quick. Upon entering I was basically blocked by an employee who was vacuuming in front of the door. The employee, Diane, instead of greeting me yells after me, "We close in one minute so, you need to make it quick." Ummm excuse me? I think that pretty much sums up my experience. I will never shop at a CVS again. Diane needs to keep in mind whether it's 5 minutes to closing or 5 hours, she is still at work representing a company. And regardless of whether she's ready to go home or having a bad day, that's not the customer's problem and the customers come first. read more

OK This is the most horrible shopping experience I've ever had in my life. I went to the Chase Avenue, El Cajon CVS store on bright Saturday morning and got a onsale toothpaste. It's an $2.5 off instant discount coupon that is printed out from the scanning machine with membership card. When I checked out the paper roll for printing receipt turned to the end and my receipt was chopped off broken, also with only the items and prices. There was no barcode; neither was $2.5 coupon applied. The cashier put on a new roll and it continues to print the rest of the receipt. However she quickly threw into the trash bin behind her and walked to the back office before I called her. So I double checked the price tag on the shelf and made sure the one I got was participating the promotion. Two minutes later I walked back and to this other lady at the cashier, showed her the picture of the item price tag and asked her why I don't have the discount applied. She refuse to admited the coupon was not applied. I said ok then please print out a complete reciept for me and I can show you. She said I cannot do that and started to say I have been rude to her. I pointed at the trash bin 3 feet away from her and said, that is where the other lady just threw the rest of my receipt in there and you may want to check. Also I am the customer, I have the rights to request the return or complete receipt from you. She replied, I HAVE THOUSANDS OF RECEIPT AND COUPONS I THROW AWAY EVERY DAY. HOW CAN I FIND A SINGLE ONE FOR YOU? I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO YOU AND YOU WERE DISRESPECTFUL AND WOULD'T LISTEN TO ME. ALSO DID YOU KNOW WHAT YOU JUST SAID? YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER BUT WHAT YOU SAID (she repeated every singe word I said "I am the customer, I have the rights to request the return or complete receipt from you") IS VERY RUDE! I was very very shocked and said ok fine since I don't have a complete receipt then just do return for me please. She said "NO, I DON'T LIKE PPL ASKING ME TO DO ANYTHING. AND I I REFUSE YOUR RETURN BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO ME." I was literally shaking at this moment but still kept calm to talk. I said I want to see your manager. She said I am th manager. So I walked back to the pharmacy to see if it is ture. The older guy said yes she is the manager and walked me back into the fron desk and asked what happened. The manager lady said (for the 4th time since I walked in the store) she (means me) has been VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO ME. They discussed for a second and the pharmacy guy said I cannot do anything, you have to go throug her, and he walked away. She literally threatened me also the 4rd time by saying "DO YOU THINK YOU ARE RUDE TO ME? I WILL DO THE RETURN FOR YOU UNLESS YOU ADMIT YOU ARE RUDE. STOP ARGUING WITH ME. IF YOU DON'T ANSWER MY QUESTION THEN I WON"T DO THE RETURN FOR YOU." I didn't answer the question and then she flapped my toothpaste on the counter. NOPE, I WON'T DO THE RETURN FOR YOU. AND IT WILL BE USELESS IF YOU TALK TO ANYBODY IN THIS STORE. I can't believe this horrible nightmare would happend in CVS, who would hire emplyee like this. I feel so sorry for the her. Two days ago I had the worse experience at this location. I am a customer there for almost 5 years never had a problem but last time one of the cashier named Maria she was so rude the worse customer service ever she was so mean she saw that I have two reward card in my Wallet she is like you are not allowed to have two card in your wallet the funny thing is I didn't use any coupon I just bought what I need with the regular price but their way of explaining It sounds like am stealing not buying from them.
