I stopped by this CVS Pharmacy because I was in the plaza this store is located in. I had to use the bathroom so that was my primary reason to come in the store but I couldn't find one so I walked around the store to see their snacks option. The store is very cleaned and organized inside. There wasn't that many guest inside and their pharmacy area was very quiet. They have a lot of different items in here so you'll likely find what you're looking for but the price will vary, it's usually on the higher end which is why I don't come to any CVS much. I found parking in the plaza just fine but if you come during the busy time then you might not find a spot. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this pharmacy during my pregnancy. My OB prescribed prenatal vitamins when I was 15 weeks pregnant. At the same time, I was also prescribed calcium and vitamin D as separate medications. When I picked up my prescriptions, I received the calcium and vitamin D, but I never received the prenatal vitamins. Since I had never taken prenatal vitamins before, I genuinely thought the calcium pill was my prenatal vitamin, so I had no reason to think anything was missing. I didn't discover the mistake until about 4 months later, when I was 32 weeks pregnant. After I was diagnosed with anemia, my OB asked whether I had been taking my prenatal vitamins and iron. That's when we realized I had never been given the prenatal vitamins that had been prescribed. When I contacted the pharmacy, I was told they had two profiles under my name and that the person handling my prescriptions didn't see the correct one. At no point was I ever notified that my prenatal vitamins had not been dispensed or were still waiting to be picked up. Learning 4 months later that I had never been given my prenatal vitamins was heartbreaking and extremely concerning. While I understand that mistakes can happen, medication errors involving pregnant patients can have serious consequences. read more

Wish I could give negative 1000 stars. I go to fill my prescription a week early because they tell me that's how long they need - and my prescription is "Out of Stock" and is "Out of Stock" at every location within 30 miles. Can't get a hold of anyone, get sent to voicemail to play a game of phone tag from hell for the entire day. Then once you get used to the VM hell when you call it will be broken and instead of sending you to VM they put you on hold for over an hour until you realize that no one is monitoring this line or picking it up and it must be bugged. Myself and my husband have called repeatedly and it keeps sending me to a line no one is monitoring. I will get incredibly sick and basically be debilitated or a month if I can't get my medicine but who cares, CVS is printing more money to their shareholders! Who cares if people die! I feel terrible for pharmacy employees who also have to deal with this evil and corrupt company. I can't wait until I move next mo and will be switching to a mom and pop pharmacy. There is ZERO point in continuing to use CVS if they have no customer service and can't even promise my very normal meds that aren't having a shortage are out constantly. I don't know any other business that continuously fails at its job and we keep letting it be a monopoly. CEO of CVS should genuinely be in prison for criminal racketeering. read more

Customer service. I've been going to this one for over 4 years. Today I went in to pick up a prescription that AI described as "in the works " for a couple of days. You've made it literally impossible to speak with a live person unless you go in. So I did today. Every person was new and rude except for Sean. He was filling in for someone who didn't show up The "Pharmacist" and the guy at the checkout couldn't find it. They were rude and dismissive. Sean found it of course. My family has a lot of medications that this pharmacy helps me manage. They are constantly busy, but my experience with the staff here has been very positive. The pharmacists have really tried to work with me and my insurance in ways that have been unexpectedly great. Most recently, I had to get a medication override for my child who needed additional pills while he is gone for most of the summer. It took me 5 calls to my insurance, but the pharmacist ALSO contacted my insurance for me to help in any way he could. I did not ask him to do that, but was so grateful, because he was instrumental in getting the override we needed just in time. All the staff has been helpful and kind. read more

I always shop at this CVS, and recently I went to print some photos of my dog who passed away. The first photo came out a little damaged due to a printer issue, but the second one turned out perfectly. When I went to pay, the manager told me I didn't need to pay at all. They were so kind and friendly, and their gesture really helped ease some of the sadness I've been feeling from losing my dog. Truly a heartwarming experience. read more

They never faxed my Dr playing head trip games . After a week I called to a rude a pharmacist telling me she couldn't feel my prescription due to I needed a different medication due to addiction. Who the hell is stating addiction. I've had a terrible back and spine condition over 13 years ago causing me to have a lot of back bone and nerve pain to which I hope she never endures . Do not use the pharmacy. They are always short-handed. And provide no customer service. They don't answer their phone. Doctor calls to place a prescription, they don't answer the phone. He leaves the prescription on the message line. I call cvs pharmacy to see if my prescription is ready for pick up. Of course, they don't answer the phone. I take my chances and go there thinking it must be ready... it's been at least 5 hours since the order was placed. But after standing in line for 15 minutes, they tell me they don't have the prescription because they have not checked voicemail all day! How about that? Finally I get my medicine after waiting for a long time for the staff to check vm and prepare the meds. And no apology whatsoever. Getting prescriptions from CVS has become a royal pain. Instead of customer service, I get recorded messages telling me to contact the doctor to verify information & suggesting substitutions for prescribed medications. On several occasions, I have been told my prescription is ready for pickup, then when I get there, I'm told "It's not ready; come back tomorrow." On two occasions, my insulin was handed to me from a box on the floor, instead of being refrigerated like it has to be. When I informed the clerk that insulin is no good unless it is kept cold, she replied, "If it doesn't work, you can return it." I have been using this pharmacy for six years. Found the staff to be one of the best locally in CVS. (Used a bunch.) The pharmacy customers are a mixed lot with a large number of seniors, who the staff deals with respect and lots of patience. Have to give 5 stars to Lexi in the beauty department. I went in looking to replace my daily on the go foundation and she approached me to ask if I needed help. Of course I accepted her help since I am no expert at this and knowing there are no testers at cvs . She was very knowledgeable and really understanding at what I was looking for. I was impressed that when I got home after making my purchase of the items she helped me with, the color of my foundation was perfect for me and i loved the sheer sunscreen too! If I did this on my own I know I would've picked the wrong shade of foundation and never gotten the sunscreen which is super important. If I could give zero stars, I would. This location is a joke. I dropped off 2 disposable cameras to be developed. They told me it takes 2 weeks and they'll call me when it's back. Well, after tracking it for 3.5 weeks ... they finally got it back developed and no one called me! Plus- I paid $25 for only 24 single prints. Everyone who works here does so with the speed and skill of someone who's suffered a MASSIVE head wound. Don't come in if you will need to talk to anyone and have any other plans all day. Fun fact: all the dinos whose bones were found in the La Brea tar pits actually got stuck here waiting for their prescriptions to be filled. I have it on good information that everyone working here got fired from the TSA line at LAX for being too slow and inattentive. Straight up without even trying tohelp, the cashier said I may not get the money back because I only paid $1 and change for it -- mind you, it was because I have the care pass that I pay monthly for and I used that money I paid for to pay for this item. She made it seem like I'm getting it for free and started being combative with me. I asked her to relax! This complain is centered around racial profiling. I am a female with African American ancestry. I entered the store around 5:45 PM on February 29, 2024, to return a make up item , I had originally purchased from another CVS, pharmacy. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by a Caucasian woman of Eastern European descent she immediately started following me around the store, although there were other customers in the store in fact, about medium crowd, I was the only African American so it is easy to see why I became her target. I went to the make up department and made my exchange since I was not seeking a refund only an exchanged. I was told the funds would be returned to my card and I can make another purchase has that's store policy on return items. During my time in the store she literally followed me around the store at one point she asked me "did I need any help" ,I told her no but thanks anyway. Just as I was about to finish my shopping after doing my return transaction and getting some snack she summoned the security ,implying that I was stealing. Security came she pointed at me telling him that I was stealing. He immediately blocked the door . When she realized that I had the make up item in my hand she told the security never mind . She didn't even had the decency to offer any apology. She went on to tell the cashier I stole item and as such my refund was never credited back to my card as promised. This blatant infringement of my human rights and dignity due to the color of my skin, is unacceptable. I request you review your security camera to verify that what I am saying is absolutely correct. I'd purchased a box of JUST FOR MEN hair color at the Tarzana store on 3/24/22. The cashier didn't see that I had a 30% off coupon in my account. I actually may not have put it on my card until the other day. So I didn't get the discount. In any event, I happened to be in the neighborhood of the CVS at 17320 Ventura Blvd, at Louise and Ventura Blvd in Encino, CA and figured I'd just go into that store with my receipt and the empty box (I'd just come from my hairdresser who administered the product). I first dealt with a women who then had Donny deal with me. He went, I suppose, to the men's hair section to get pricing or something but came back to tell me that because I'd already used the item and only had the box, he couldn't do a refund and a charge. This was despite the fact that all he needed was the SKU from the empty box. I explained that I wasn't returning the item, I just wanted the purchase to be re-characterized (refunded and immediately charged back to my credit card at the reduced price based on the coupon I'd received several days before the original purchased on 3/24.) This is when store manager, Patrick, stepped in and in a rather smug, patronizing and condescending way, told me the same thing Donny had told me and that I should " Have a nice day." I was dumbfounded. I wound up driving back to the CVS where I'd made the original purchase, 18441 Ventura Blvd in Tarzana, and Jaimie, kindly took care of me and stated that he saw no reason why the guys at the other store couldn't handle my situation. I'm upset for several reasons not the least of which is my time and the gas that was used driving to back to the original store. I called the store that didn't help me and spoke with Donny in a polite way to tell him that the other store manager helped me and that he and Patrick might want to consider a different tact next time. The new pharmacist Sonia is verbally abusive towards the patients and her staff. She was supposed to give me medication consultation on my new heart medications but when she came she went off on her pharmacy cashier followed by going off on me. Absolutely unprovoked. My teenage daughter was with me who got really intimidated so we just took it and didn't say anything. This cvs is behind our house. I know cvs overworks and underpays their staff but that is not good enough of reason for a pharmacist to behave abusively towards everyone. Sonia needs to leave or CVS should let her go. read more

I love the fact that CVS Pharmacy has locations anywhere you need them, including this location right here in my neighborhood! I'm also so happy to see that they have completely improved the decor to make CVS much more of a "happy place!" :) I also love that they now stock a wide variety of cool new products, including their much improved cosmetic department!! Because health and fitness is important to me, I'm also thrilled that they have a lot of new healthy snacks to choose from. The following point might not seem like much, but before they renovated the decor, the bathrooms quite frankly were dirty and awful. However, now that they have renovated the decor, the bathrooms are up-to-date, stylish, and clean! I couldn't do a Yelp review about CVS Pharmacy without commenting on my experience of the pharmacy. I truly have had only positive experiences at the pharmacy here at this location. I have found the pharmacists and pharmacy staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. And, they always have my medications ready relatively promptly. Generally speaking, I have usually had positive pleasant experiences with the service staff and managers... whoever brings me up behind the counter, or answers questions about where something is located in the store, etc. My only complaint is that despite CVS's many coupons, which I do appreciate, some of the items at CVS seem a bit higher priced than the same items would cost at places like Target or Walmart. In particular, I have seen "Family Size" Gold Bond hand lotion pumper bottles for $15.50 at CVS, and $9.99 at Target. I have also seen a 1-ounce tube of Neosporin ointment for $11-$12 at CVS, and $7.49 at Target. Regardless, it's nice to know that they stock these items and many others. It's nice to know I have a nearby pharmacy that services my needs. And, it's nice to know they are open 24 hours right here in my neighborhood. Instead of calling the doctors office for confirmation they do it electronically because it's easier for them and they don't feel like calling. I was already waiting for 45 min and she just kept me waiting. I called the doctors office myself and they told me to have the pharmacist call them and after giving me a sour attitude while calling, my prescription was ready in a couple of minutes. read more
