I hate this location. you can die but don't go get your medication from there. Didn't care, careless and slow. Plus no one cares to answer your phone. When you go to the drive-through all the clothes when you go inside you have to wait at least 40 minutes to pick up your medication.. I called this CVS and I was on hold for 50 minutes and no one answer. This is when you are sick and calling for the medication. must be shut down. The mile long receipts are annoying. There's no getting around that, or actually there is as simply put on the screen "don't print." That was a good and responsible decision. CVS also doesn't sell tobacco products. Kudos to them. That took some guts. Employees here are friendly. They will help you out, and this location is well staffed. Also it is clean and organized. Prices are higher than their competitors. The executives in Woonsocket should consider lowering some. Ultimately that's up to them. read more

Very poor excuse of a pharmacy. Medicines are often out of stock and they never bother to let you know that. If you go to another pharmacy in the event it is out of stock on Silverbrook Road (even another CVS), they will tell you to call this one before they fill it ask this location for a release. I came in for an appointment in the clinic. It was behind at least 20 min at the time of this review. I have a really bad headache and earache. The music in the store is really loud pop. The waiting room had a speaker right next to it. I asked a store employee to turn it down and she said "oh, no uh u"...we can do that. Loud pop music in a clinic waiting room? I have never had good customer service from CVS. I am switching to Walgreens where the people still care... Employee bane was: Raiceen She told me they can't change or adjust the music. CVS stands for Convenience, Value, and Service.. I would like to suggest a name change to Overpriced, Low Quality, and Poor Service. The store itself was relatively clean, but could definitely use some tidying up. There some items just lying around--which could be a safety hazard as people trip over them. The prices are pretty pricey. They do have some sales going on for various items at different parts of the month--but there weren't many promotions at this location compared to a Baltimore location I'd go to during school. The week I went in, they had a promotion on 2 liter sodas. We got a 2L Sprite for $0.99--unfortunately, when we got home and drank it...it was very FLAT and we had to end up throwing it away. This location needs work. TIP: get the care card to receive deals, discounts, and promotions--its free to get the card! read more

For a third time in as many months, the drive thru pharmacy is closed. It's not a convenient process to drive around the building, dodging carelessly parked cars, and a dumpster. The hand-written note scrawled on the drive-thru window has no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. After parking and beginning my walk to the front door, I was scowled at by another driver who'd attempted to use the drive-thru - inconvenienced by my presence. Or perhaps I was just on the receiving end of his frustration with this poorly managed location. My last visit, I came to pick up medication for my youngest daughter, only to be told that they could not provide the asthma medication (necessary for normalized breathing) because there was a miscommunication between the provider, the pharmacy, and the insurer. I asked why they had not contacted us, or the provider that there was an issue. The reply was an open mouth, followed by a succession of blinks. This location also has continuous turnover. Today the helper behind the counter was patient, kind, and attempted to be efficient- however, it was obvious that the staff of 3 was overworked, and boarding on being overwhelmed; as the line of frustrated would-be drive-thruers braved the queue in store, stretching past the refrigerators hosting chaotically jumbled cans of last-choice sodas. They do not answer the phones or return voicemails (I left a voicemail for three days in a row, but there is still no response). I called the main store three times today, and they all walked back and gave the pharmacy team my name and number, but they still have not called. I was in need for Urgent sugar meds. I called CVS pharmacy on Silver Brook RD in Fairfax Station VA 22079. Pharmacist named Enochs was the person I spoke with. First of all there was so much background banging noise. I asked him about it no response then put me on hold three different times no apology no explanation why am I on hold. I asked why and he lost it and said if you can't wait hang up. I was surprised to hear that I need my meds ASAP and he's being sarcastic and mean. In the mean time the banging noise was constant and gave me a headache..... This person is A PHARMACIST at this store !!!!! I am sure in pharmacy school he MISSED the ETHIC and ATIQUETT class. Do not waste your time. This CVS doesn't seem to know what is going on. Always have an excuse. Why does it take 6 hrs on average to get prescriptions when they usually appear to have plenty of people behind the counter? LOL, tonight both prescriptions were pre-boxed, only required a sticker and still took 6 hrs. Then, when it finally came up as ready online, the time was incorrect by an hour. My husband spoke to someone a7 6:40 and was told 30 to 45 minutes more. Magically, it says it was ready at 6:00- NOPE. Last time, they mixed my husbands prescription up with my name, and put it under my record. So, they said they never got an order for him. I give up. Going to Giant pharmacy. This was my first time visiting this pharmacy to fill prescriptions and it will surely be my last. This is definitely not a pharmacy I could recommend to Veterans who utilize the Minute Clinic under the Mission Act Benefit. Staff members are uninformed and unwilling to read the provided VA Pharmacy Voucher. My medication was fairly inexpensive, but the Minute Clinic at this very CVS, provided me with the pharmacy voucher that contained instructions for filling my prescriptions. Neither Reham (counter clerk) or Sheldon Powell (pharmacist on duty) would even look at the voucher to process my prescriptions accordingly. Customer service wasn't applied during this visit from either of these professionals and I am beyond disappointed that the VA has an awesome program in place, that pharmacies won't even take 2 minutes to familiarize themselves with. What's even worse is the fact that Reham nor Sheldon even bothered to speak with the attending physician at the Minute Clinic in this very CVS to clarify the process. They lacked basic problem solving and customer service skills that resulted in me driving to a different location to fill my prescriptions. If you are a Veteran who qualifies for treatment and prescriptions under the Mission Act Benefit, be mindful that this place does not honor the benefits nor are they willing to seek guidance or training on it. This store is pretty miserable. They never seem to have anyone available at the checkout counter and they are poorly stocked. Their prices are also ridiculously high. The dry shampoo I like to use is four times what I pay for it in other places. Yesterday was the last straw when I went to get boost vitamin supplement drinks and as soon as I got them to the counter the woman said they were expired. It's like she just knew before I even got them up there. So why are they still on the shelves at all? Makes me wonder now what else is expired in this location. I think I'll have to start shopping at another CVS from now on. The one on silverbrook seems mismanaged. read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could. This place is ALWAYS short-staffed; the drive-through is frequently closed, and the pharmacy techs are rude. Today, after going through to the drive-through, I discovered they were closed yet again. So I had to go in. They were probably at least 10 people in line. When I got up to the counter, the tech told me that one of my prescriptions was over the counter. So I said, OK do I need to go get it. He said, no, we filled it. When I went to use a coupon for the item that was over the counter, he said it was a prescription. I said you just said it was over the counter, which one is it? He just kept saying, I couldn't use a coupon for something that was a prescription and wouldn't (or couldn't) elaborate. He told me I could pay for my other prescriptions, go get the item, and stand in line again to pay for that other item. Instead of wasting another 20 minutes of my life, I just ate the 40% coupon. I will be looking to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere. This place is unprofessional and just plain difficult. I've dealt with them for far too long solely because they're so close to my house. It's time to patronize a pharmacy that actually appreciates my business. I've heard the same from so many other people, so I should've listened. Hindsight is 20/ 20, but this is the last time I'm coming here for a prescription!! They've received my last penny. read more

I used to go to this CVS location very often until I noticed how expensive everything was. Now my family and I just go when we're running late and need to pick up something in a hurry. They do have a nice selection of greeting cards and the staff has always been helpful, so I am grateful for that. My two-star rating is for a recent visit. I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and stood in line for about five minutes before the technician acknowledged my presence. Without looking at me she said she'd be right with me. I thanked her but decided to leave after two more minutes because I was tired of waiting. Went to Shoppers Pharmacy, instead. The pharmacists was 100% more compassionate. read more

On my second visit of the day after receiving a replenishment voucher from a pharmaceutical company went to CVS Fairfax Station to process receive the replenishment for the medicine. Both the person receiving the order and the pharmacist said that they don't know what to do with it. Called the manufacturer (pharmaceutical company) and their customer service rep told me they don't talk to pharmacists. Went back to the lady working on taking orders and this time she issued the next refill. I appreciate her solution after hours of back and forth between the pharmaceutical company and the pharmacy, but I don't understand why she didn't take the voucher or offered the refilled the first time. Hours waiting on the phone between two phone calls and going back and forth to the pharmacy. I guessed it was too hard to process a well documented voucher or they needed to make a $25 copayment today. Customer/patient health doesn't seem to matter anymore. Healthcare as a business is a really bad proposition to US citizens even when costing thousands of dollars ($1200) per month. read more

Do not go to the minute clinic anymore if you are going for a physical! Went today because I needed a TB test and physical for my medical training. The digital sign in machine asked if I was paying with insurance, I said yes. It said the practitioner would take my card inside. NP goes thru the whole physical and TB shot before asking me about payment, I told her I was using insurance like the machine asked and they said they don't accept insurance for physicals anymore. So instead of the 35 dollar physical copay and 5 dollars for the TB test, it ended up being 130 dollars. Which I couldn't really afford. Now I have to go back on Wednesday for my TB results and give them another 35 dollars so they can look at it and tell me it's not red. In addition to this mess, I was hungry and tried to get something to eat, and an employee was helping a customer with their passport photos, while I was waiting in line for the last 10 minutes. This is okay until another cashier walks up and sees the line behind me, but instead of going to the cashier, she asks the other employee if he needed help, he said no, so she ignored the line and walked away. Completely unprofessional and the minute clinic was a scam. Awful all around. I've come to the pharmacy here for years. And they're good, but everything else about this place sucks. read more

They aren't very stingy when it comes to having to pay $2.05 or something. Why does one go to CVS?.. For the pharmacy mostly. Does the manager or staff of this CVS understand this? No. This is by-far, the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I'm not exaggerating. 1- They're often understaffed 2- I'll drop off my slip and request my med be ready two hours later. Its still not ready over 2 hours later. 3- Some of the staff that work there are inept at the tasks of working at a pharmacy. 4- On occasion you're left standing at the drop off counter for long periods of time. This is such a poorly operated pharmacy, its better just do drive 5 miles out of one's way for even marginally acceptable service. THAT SAID... I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one, solely because the store is in a very convenient location. Outside of the pharmacy, They always have basics/quick needs. The pharmacy at this location could not be worse. Unless your prescription is as basic as taking one pill from one bottle and placing in another they could never do what is requested. It seems as though they are all incompetent. I will never return here and it is right next to my house. The store is ok. Prices tend to be higher than grocery stores. The front of store staff are generally friendly, the pharmacists seem to try hard, but sometimes struggle with the help they hire. They do have good card selection, and good OTC options, just charge too much. Example: Bausch and Lomb allergy eye drops for a two pack - 17.99, at giant or wegmans - 8.99. The minute clinic and vaccinations are decent though. It's definitely "take the good with bad" at this store. I am a bit wary of the pharmacy there as I received the wrong medicine twice in my years in Northern VA. Giant pharmacy nearby is hundred times better. read more

I choose to go to this store because of the location, it was very convenient since is the closest one I have. Yesterday was my last day at that store and pharmacy, with my experience there I rather drive the miles and have a great service. *Experience at the pharmacy: Ordered my medicine, the staff asked me to wait for it 20 minutes. They have chairs there right in front of the pick up area, I told her I would sit right there and to please let me know when my medicines were ready. Passed 20 minutes new customers arrived, ordered, waited sitting next to me, and were called before me for their medicine. I had to stand up and remind her that I was waiting for my medicine, she completed forgot I was there, appologized and gave me my medicines. *Experience in the store, not the pharmacy: -Night Staff are very kind and helpfull, excetp for one. - Some Morning Staff makes you feel like if you are bothering when you ask for help. That's because there is only one staff who has to work on the shelf. -Long waiting time until you get noticed at the register, because the staff assigned to the register is organizing the shelf. -If you use the green bag tag in one transaction, you can not get plastics bags in any other transaction on that same day when all other cvs do provide the plastics bags in the second transaction without the customer request. -Staff is not well informed about the policy. -Don't like customers who use coupons. For those reasons I gave this store one star and do not recommend it. read more

I tried to make a Covid test appt online and no appointments are available. This CVS told me this morning by phone that no appt is necessary because "it is so fast". "Just drive up".After sitting in line for a long time I was told appt only. A person by the name of Cassandra came to the window and told me to "just make an appt". I said none were available and she said "that means we're booked up" in a dismissive way. She made no attempt to find the pharmacy employee who said I could get the test. She also told me to go to Patient First, "they would take me right in" Again false information. First, no one is getting people right in which is understandable. And, Right on their phone message it says they are not testing unless you are symptomatic. Luckily I already knew this and didn't waste more time. I understand places are booked up, waits are long, they are running out of tests... that is why I called first. Isn't it a bit scary that people working in a Pharmacy are giving inaccurate information? This is the pharmacy from hell! Never go here. The line for the pharmacy is always long. It took over an hour to fill my prescription. Then once filled, I had to wait in line a half hour just to pay for it. In between, it took them 15 minutes just to find the prescription. If you value your life, avoid this pharmacy. The pharmacy at this CVS is great but the cashiers at the registers in the front of the store are very slow and seem to care little about customer service. I've been going here for many years, but only to the pharmacy. I believe it is poor management. You never see a manager or they are never in when you request to speak with one. The same clerks have been employed there for years and they really are quite inefficient (slow and not helpful as when you may have a question about a coupon ). They let the lines grow so long and often the store is very messy - products boxed in the aisles and the shelves in disarray. I patronize Target and Walmart instead of this CVS, even though i am there to pick up prescriptions anyway. I pay far less and get good service too! read more
