On 8/22/25 while picking up my prescription at CVS Pharmacy on 8/22/25 (Store ID: 1378). As I was standing in line I observed the cashier, Brandon (# 2590721) be friendly and greet the two white customers in line in front of me and the one behind me with with "Good Afternoon" and "How is your day going". When it was my turn to be waited on instead of greeting me he coldly said "Last Name", FN, DOB. Each time I started answering he rudely cut me off and the 3rd time he cut me off to assist a white customer who walked up to ask him a question. I asked to speak to the pharmacist so that I could inform her of my experience in how Brandon treated me compared to how the white patrons. The pharmacist is Yiftusira Wondimu who reluctantly walked over to me and when I began sharing my experiences with her she rudely cut me off and told me "you cannot say that because I know Brandon and he is not like that." I felt disrespected, discriminated against, and disregarded by both of them. read more

Finally those mile long receipts paid off. I'm happy to get $5 Harry Razors! That bit of savings does help, as got to be well groomed. Also I'd like to thank the company, for getting rid of the tobacco products. That was a gutsy yet correct decision. CVS is about health, nutrition, and a pharmacy. The staff at this one are great, as the past week my son needed prescriptions. Done quick and had them in no time! My biggest issue with CVS is their prices. They tend to, at least in my opinion, be more than Walgreens and other competitors. Dollars and change matters these days, as we all are dealing with inflation and other costs. I do think this is a very nicely kept up location. Lines aren't a problem, and they are well stocked. If you're in the area this works for the basics. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - BURKE, Virginia

Eunice is long gone, and the current pharmacists are much friendlier and more accommodating, but CVS is still not good about looking out for the safety of patients with legitimate medical reasons to avoid certain inactive ingredients. Even when a doctor writes a prescription for a *specific* variety of a medicine, CVS will ignore that and order whatever is most convenient, even if it's something we have previous reported makes the patient SICK. At least now, if we catch the problem, they'll fix it. Eunice rudely and openly refused to be anything more than a drug salesperson (really putting that degree to use, huh?). The current pharmacists still don't *really* make it their job, but at least they're compassionate about it when we realize they've made a mistake and have to return a drug. read more

Just left the pharmacy after meeting what was probably one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. Young woman in a one blue piece jumper and converse high tops. My receipt says her name was Thi My Lin but have no idea if that's her. 3 people were in line waiting for any of the 3 people behind the counter to help them. Once the young woman in the jumper was finally ready to check people out she acted beyond irritated to have to do so. The woman in front of me was very sweet and thanked the hateful employee and told her to have a nice day and the employee didn't even respond. Once it was my turn she couldn't even be bothered to make eye contact. And when I told her my birthday she actually rolled her eyes. She was irritated that I had 3 additional items to scan besides the prescription and once she was done she tossed my bag of items at me access the counter. The 3rd woman in line had questions and the girl was irritated by this and was equally rude to her. If you hate your job that much perhaps it's time to move on. And might I suggest that you try something that doesn't involve you dealing with humans. Clearly you lack any type of empathy or compassion. A little kindness goes a long way these days. And you, frankly, are sucking up what little joy is left. read more

So, I know, reviewing your local pharmacy is not exactly the thrilling stuff that you come for here on Yelp, but hey, it's still useful information nonetheless in my opinion! I have always had positive experiences at this CVS. This one woman behind the cash register in particular is so nice, friendly, and accommodating, I actually feel awful for never getting her name but she's great and this CVS, aside from occasionally being out of stock of items midday, has always met my needs. Pharmacy staff is knowledgable and moves quickly in my experience as well. read more

Too bad you can't leave zero stars because that's what it deserves. The pharmacy is horrible. I spent 35 minutes on hold to get to a live body & ask for pharmacist only for the person answering to hang up the phone when she was placing me on hold again. Called back & it took 45+ minutes to get through & still no resolution. Wish I didn't have to use this pharmacy but have to because of location & insurance. Groan!!! Called a hypertension prescription refil a week ahead but got no response. The day I am out I finally called the doctor who informed me they got no request from cvs. dr office called it in that day; still not filled at end of day. Very unprofessional. read more

The pharmacy goes above and beyond to make it difficult to fulfill prescriptions. I groaned when my husband asked me to stop by to pick up a prescription (for our dog) called in by our vet. All our family's names, phone numbers (yes, they asked me the dog's birthday) wouldn't pull up the script. "Do you have a call log?"-NO It was obvious it was near the end of the day and they didn't care. read more

How is CVS still in business??!?? I only come here as a last result, have no time, etc... Target is down the street... go there. CVS. Wellll... CVS always seems under staffed, semi unkempt... Really, I want to know how it survives against Target and Walmart. It's NOT cheaper... it's a place to go if you don't have a Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target or even Walmart near. I won't be surprised when it get bought out or files for Chapter 11 in the future...it's only a matter of time. read more

The good news is that the store is local and has can be like a one stop shopping experience for many medicine and other drug store items. However it has been my experience that that I can get most of the same items at a Walmart for less cost. read more

Obviously nobody at this CVS reads the pharmacy reviews. If they did they would realize that the customer service at the pharmacy is pathetic, at best. The pharmacy doesn't answer the phone, and nobody calls you to tell you that a prescription is ready. I've dealt with several different people who work in the pharmacy and find that they are all rude and unfriendly. Nobody who works there smiles----ever. This is a service business, but they literally don't provide any service. Apparently the pharmacy is understaffed, resulting in the employees being overworked and unable to do what they are paid to do. CVS, either hire more competent people or close the pharmacy to spare us the agony of dealing with the incompetence. read more

The self checkout scanners take more time than just going through the regular line. Technology is great but only when it works properly.

There are new employees, to our dismay the changes did not create an improvement to the already good and helpful crew. One may think that changes should always be for the better, not in this case, the new employees not only do not care, they do not know. Yesterday I asked one the cashiers if they sale a particular cologne, rather than say: let me check, her answer was: I have no idea. When I asked to the other cashier about returning defective items, his answer was: "we do not honor warranties", pretty much the phone charger was a very expensive one, about 15.00 dollars for about a month worth of use. If you ask for something the answer is: I do not know, let me ask or sometimes they just: dont know. Not a nice place anymore. read more

When I wanted to use a coupon, the cashier gave me a weird look, couldn't speak English very well, and wouldn't want to help me find the item I needed. Plus, they charged me more than I thought for a 2 for $5 for a 3-pack of gum and instead I charged for two regular priced packs. I only go here since I'm in a rush to do things. Horrible. They don't have the staff. Only one person working in the entire store besides the pharmacy. I went in for a passport photo, waited in line at the cashier to get help, was told to wait until he rang up every behind me in line, of course the line never went down and I never got the photo. I'm not really sure why everyone else has complained so much about this. I went in today to pick up a prescription and the store was running full force. Three cashiers working, full pharmacy staff (well informed), everyone was polite, helpful, and quick. I was in and out picking up a prescription and checking out at the front with my new insoles in less than 15 mins. read more

This is a hard review to summarize with stars because the difference between the pharmacy and the store is huge. The pharmacy is 5+ stars. Unlike a lot of chain pharmacies, this CVS is nearly always staffed with the same two pharmacists. Both are efficient and go out of their way to be helpful. They are also are invested in making sure that the assistants are well trained. I've moved (twice) and there is a different CVS around the corner and I have to drive past 3 other pharmacies to get there but I won't go to any other pharmacy! The store itself is more like 2.5 stars. There is never more than one register open at a time and it seems like you can never find anyone to help you when you need them. There is one exception but you can't count on him working that day. Prices are high (particularly when you factor in the Safeway next door) and coupons aren't always handled well. read more

I have to say, I am utterly disappointed with the unknowledge carelessness of the pharmacy staff. Cheryl (the pharmacist) was extraordinarily curt with me after I called her to discuss medication that SHE recommended to my doctor that I take as a substitute for medication (that I later found out from another pharmacist are in the same family) that I had a severe allergic reaction to. When I called her to explain I had reactions to both the medications and what I could discuss with my doctor about taking next time, she immediately went on the defensive, did not apologize for the negligence on her behalf, and hung up on me. Sorry, how inconveniencing it must be for you as a pharmacist to discuss and correct a medication problem that you are responsible for. I called a Walgreens pharmacy to discuss this and the pharmacist was exceedingly helpful, explained why I had the reaction to this drug, what options were available to me in the event that I have another procedure like the one I had done, and all of this without any lip. I only have experienced the pharmacy, which has always been excellent. The pharmacist who moved or retired was great, had gone to her for a few years, and I really like the current one as well. The staff has always been patient, and have sorted out issues when. Dr. has goofed on the script. They show common sense when it comes to situations. My example is that my Dr. wrote a script for a med, I filed took it to them, and when I returned they had not filled it, but had the item ready...because BCBS Fed declined any coverage, and it would have been 1,400 dollars. To add it was not a life or death thing, they gave me many options on how to possibly get it cheaper if I still felt I wanted it. Common sense, nicely handled. I have been happy with their service every time. And hey the company stopped selling cigarettes, so that endears them to me. As for folks blasting them for prices, it is a drug store, not a grocery store, not comparable, just like Costco sells coffee cheaper than a grocery store, when a company buys in huge volumes, it is cheaper. read more

I have used many CVS pharmacies, and the staff at this pharmacy counter is by far the best. The pharmacists Sally and Kim are amazing, friendly, helpful, and fast. A couple of the techs who are there most often are really great but a couple are a bit slow. There is one fill in pharmacist I came across a couple times (an older woman) and if you see her there you should run and come back a different day. But other than that this place is the best. read more

WORST CVS EVER. One bad experience does not warrant this review. 4 consecutive negative experiences have caused me to put my two cents out there about this terrible store. The past 4 times I have had a prescription sent to this CVS, there have been mistakes. 2 times they actually filled the prescription incorrectly. Thankfully, I read my prescriptions before filling them, so I knew what I should be receiving. Needless to say, this has wasted my time since it took them 20+ minutes each time to correct their mistake. Another time, my doctor called in a prescription early in the morning and I went to pick it up after work, and it wasn't ready because they were busy. I would like to know how busy they could have been that 10 hours had elapsed from the time they received the order until I showed up looking for it. The most recent incident occurred tonight when I went to pick up a prescription that my doctor called in and they claim they have not received it at all, which sounds like a load of BS to me. The head pharmacist is also very rude. Not only does she talk down to customers, but she speaks that way with fellow employees as well. She needs to be fired. I will NEVER go here again. I would rather drive the extra miles to go to a better pharmacy than deal with their problems. read more
