This pharmacy had gone downhill. They never have enough help inside the store or the drive thru. I waited over 25 minutes to pick up my prescription inside the store tonight. They were only able to fill (1) of the (2) prescriptions that the doctor ordered 4 hours prior. Will have to go back in the morning to hopefully pick up the 2nd prescription. I am taking my business to another pharmacy after being a customer for over 24 years. CVS problems are deeper than just this location. Check out Rosen reports for more details. They don't answer their phone - even when you need to speak with a pharmacist. You have to go through virtual and then you can only leave a message and they don't return the calls in a timely manner if at all. It's impossible and frustrating. A pharmacy should talk to patients when patients have questions about their drugs or payments. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating from start to finish. I submitted two online requests to transfer my prescription from Safeway to this CVS--no response either time. I then went in person to make the request, and the pharmacy tech said the medication should arrive that evening. Again, no update. The next morning, I returned to CVS, only to find no record of the transfer. I drove to Safeway, where they confirmed they had faxed the request the previous afternoon. Back at CVS, I had to prompt the staff to check their fax machine--only then did they find the transfer. To top it off, applying a GoodRx discount was another headache. It took three different people just to process a simple price adjustment. The whole process felt disorganized and unnecessarily complicated. read more

This is one of the most organized CVSs in the Sacramento area. All the shelves are clean and filled with merchandise or medicine. An employee even walked by and asked if he could help. It was hard to get from CVS or Walgreens anymore. The store still looks old, but clean and well maintained. Most of the items are in stock. Absolutely the worst pharmacy in town. I'm glad they have at least tried to hire some friendly employees because one of the previous employees was extremely rude. There is always a long wait or some type of problem. When our insurance company messed up, I obviously couldn't pick up my prescription. I talked to the pharmacist and said I would get the insurance handled and be back in a day or two. tThey completely put the prescription back so now we have to wait again. Literally the WORST drive thru pick up I have ever been in. It takes an average of 5-10 minutes to wait and then you are blocked in by other cars with no choice but to wait. There should at least be a way to leave the drive thru if the wait is that heinous. No excuse for such bad service. read more

This pharmacy is extremely unhelpful. They won't provide stock information like every other CVS will (they claim it's impossible). Try another CVS in the area because this staff is just not it. They'll regularly also ignore phone calls and only pick up (while sounding annoyed) after you call repeatedly. These people do not want to do their job. read more

Longest wait times ever. Be prepared to wait 30min for a prescription. The drive thru line is sometimes better but I've gotten stuck in a line with people getting COVID tests. CVS should really be having a separate line for those. Even with the COVID testing done here I believe, the in person line inside is always slow. They need to hire more help. The employees stocking shelves are not the friendliest either. I asked a woman for help finding a product on my phone and before she even looked at it, she said they didn't have it. I asked again if she at least recognized the product and she said she didn't speak English and walked away from me. Not once made eye contact with me. I told the manager I wasn't happy and that she didn't even offer to get someone else to help me. His excuse was that she just organized and stocks products. Really? If you're working in a customer service role where people shop, you should be able to speak English or at least have the respect to guide customers to another coworker. Brushing customers off and not even making eye contact is unacceptable. This place needs better leadership. read more

Since we moved here to Folsom 13 years ago, I have been visiting this pharmacy and have always been satisfied. They are kind, helpful, and have plenty of cool girly things to buy. I once bought five little furry coin pouches because they were super cute, and I wanted to give one to my loved ones. They also have cute toys for kids that are fun gifts if you know toddlers. Last week I did my first CVS COVID test. The line was super long but felt very safe. The person at the drive-thru counter was efficient. read more

Best CVS in town, still! I've tried almost all the other CVS in Folsom, along with Wallgreens and Raleys. All I've had huge issues and were never reliable. The ladies here provide EXCELLENT customer service and continually go above and beyond any other Pharmacy i've ever experienced. If there's ever a hiccup with insurance, they handle it ASAP which is AMAZING. I never have an issue with medication not being in stock. They know my name and always are very welcoming. Even though they are CLEAR across town, and the times I only get a chance to run over is during rush hour or lunch hour during the day, I GLADLY drive the distance due to the customer service here. If you're experiencing "Long wait times" i think it's obvious you should pick a better time to go in...... accountability people..... these ladies work harder than Inn n Out employees and are hussling ALL DAY to get everyone taken care of. read more

I've always enjoyed coming to this CVS for their extensive drugstore makeup selection. They carry Korean beauty products too which is a huge plus. And of course their overall makeup selection is just great. Sometimes I don't want to go inside a Target or Walmart to get a few things so I come here for easy toiletries and so forth. They always have some sort of deal and coupon as well so that's a plus. Service has always been pleasant and smooth. read more

I came here recently for the first time to get my prescription for both of my children. I saw that there was a drive thru, so I decided to try it out. And I'm so happy I did! First of all, after you speak with your physician wait for the pharmacy to text/call you(set your phone number up). After it's ready, go through the drive thru- it literally takes no time! I have young babies, any chance I get to not have to get out of my vehicle is 5 stars! Lol. The staff are super super nice and work really hard to get you going. All I had to do is tell them my name and who the medicine was for... then they grabbed it, gave me verbal instructions, had me sign a consent, had me pay, and then they gave me the medicine and written instructions. I truly loved my experience here! I will definitely be using them fRom now on and I would suggest it! read more

This is the worst and most incompetent pharmacy in Folsom. Their wait times is over 30 min for one car ahead of you (every time you go), they take another 20 min person inside the store to get people their one medications and lack of Urgency and competence with this staff is frightening at best. This pharmacy location must take their lease educated people and place them here first to be trained. Do not waste your time there are not only other CVS stores but pharmacy's in general who understand how to check you in and out to get a medication all within 5-10 min of arriving. read more

Since my original review early this spring, I did file an official complaint with my health insurance, detailing the issues (see my original review) and asking for a resolution. The determination was that "there were known issues" with the named pharmacist and that action was being taken. Since I received that letter in May, the pharmacist at this location was either fired or moved as a result of the "known issues." The current pharmacist and staff (which I believe is pretty much the same group of people as before) are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Neither my husband nor I have had any difficulties with the pharmacy since the management change. As a matter of fact, when there is a small error or problem, we not only get a quick resolution and an explanation on why it happened, but are told what action will be taken to prevent it in the future. I can now highly recommend this store and pharmacy. Which I have to tell you, is a HUGE relief! read more

I agree with Jennifer S. and her review! This store is always incredibly clean! I have come here for many emergencies, over the counter medications, cosmetics products, greeting cards and last minute gift shopping (they have an awesome gift card section by domination in the back)! The customer service is pretty good and the store is well maintained and stocked! If you have the CVS card or can find good coupons, sometimes it's worth your wild to shop here for some basic necessities! I have been suckered so many times into buying nail polish that it's really my own fault for walking through the beauty section. Good store and love the location. This has to be the worst pharmacy I have ever had to deal with. I have been going to the CVS in Cameron Park since we moved to the Placerville area 20 years ago. For the most part no issues at that location. I recently moved to Folsom and at first I would just go up the hill to get my things but the pharmacist at CP said it was very easy to move them over. So I thought I'd give it a try. I have been into the Folsom location 5 times and every time it's a nightmare. The first time I went in I had been at the Drs office that morning around 8 and got to CVS around 3:30. They had no prescriptions ready for me. They first blamed my Dr and said they never sent them. So right there I called the Dr office and they confirmed they did send it and even faxed the confirmation page that prints out of their fax machine from the fax sent to CVS from that morning. So I know for sure it was sent. They then asked me to come back in an hour. I ended up returning the next afternoon, a full 24hrs later, and only 1 of the 2 prescriptions was ready. AGAIN they asked me to return in an hour, I refused to leave until my prescription was filled. They had it ready in about 15 minutes. The next time I had a prescription sent there I was told by my Dr it would take no more than an hour for my prescription to be ready, it's a pre-made kit in a box so nothing to prepare. I called the pharmacy 3 hours after my appointment to confirm it was ready, because of my first experiences there, and was told that it was. I got there about 45 minutes later, pulled into the drive threw and sat there for 20 minutes before being helped! Meanwhile I can see everyone inside who was "working" the pharmacist at the computer, the other woman on her cell phone and sorta moving things around. Finally I hit the call button because apparently me staring them down threw the window for 20 minutes wasn't a good enough indicator I was waiting for service. The man picked up the phone, same person I spoke to earlier when I called, and said "last name" when I gave him my name he said I'm working on it and hung up the phone. About 10 minutes later he came back and said "ya I'm trying to fill this but it's gonna be expensive" Like do I look like I can't afford my meds?? I told him it doesn't matter, the way my insurance works I bill them after. And asked was that really why I waited all this time?? He said he was trying to get it approved by insurance and they kept telling him no. Like why wouldn't you tell me earlier so I could explain?! And why has this never been an issue before on any other prescription ever?? Now I have been trying to fill my birth control for several days, with multiple calls and trips into the store. They are trying to fill it for DAYS after my pills will run out and of course I need the preciption a few days early (4 days) because of my trip. Apparently I must be the first person ever at this pharmacy to take a trip and need meds early... This has never been an issue with any other pharmacy. The biggest issue I have is with this mans horrible attitude towards customers. Blaming everyone else and not running an organized pharmacy to me is unacceptable. read more

CVS Pharmacy is fowl! The store is relatively clean but the pharmacy is just disgusting! Next time you pick up a prescription look behind the counter. Look at the floor. Caked dirt, trash and random pills laying by and under the racks were they keep the filled prescriptions. Then look by the pick up window floor and the mini fridge. It's so gross! Then you have to give your first and last name and date of birth and verify your address. Seriously? For everyone to hear! That is a simple app for a mounted tablet. Much safer to protect customers identity. Last, the receipt was a little over 4.5 feet of just coupons! Who many trees do the go through a day! Again, simple app or CVS card for that. CVS needs to step up their game! I gave them 1 star because the store area floor was way better than the pharmacy otherwise they get a BIG Zero! We've been loyal customers of CVS Broadstone for almost 20 years (prior it was Longs). The pharmacy was always pretty good with no complaints BUT RECENTLY the pharmacy lines have been crazy long and the customer service provided by the staff and pharmacist has become horrible. They are rude, condescending and need to attend basic customer service classes. Unfortunately, we will be going elsewhere. read more
