I'm only reviewing the Pharmacy here at this location. We've recently switched to this location, even though it's farther out of the way, with a whole lot of traffic cameras coming here, so most likely if you're driving, beware! We switched to this Pharmacy because every time I would drop off my aunt's Rx at the CVS Pharmacy in Newark, they would have an ultra tough time, initially to get all three ready at once. Only one of the three, every month would, end up "not covered by insurance," even though the previous months the medication has been cleared. Now keep in mind these three medications, my aunt has been taking for more than a decade, and it's only after we started coming to this CVS Pharmacy in Newark that we started to have problems receiving one of the medications because of "not covered by insurance." Eventually the medication clears, but not until waiting 1-2 weeks for whatever it is that needs to be done. Unfortunately this is something my aunt needs YESTERDAY, as she is dependent on it. So far this Pharmacy has had the same problems with the same medication over insurance "issues," however the staff seem to know how to resolve it more quickly and efficiently than the staff at Newark. It's been almost a year of us coming to this location, so I don't know if there has been any change of administration or management at the Newark location. Just the other night I was working in Newark. Got off work at 2:00 am, didn't feel like waiting until the next day to drive to Fremont to drop off the Rx, but then again, it was already the next day, so I just went for it. Went in, dropped it off (with NO problems), there was only one guy there, and to my surprise he asked me, "Sir, do you want to wait for your medication?" I was flabbergasted. 15-20 mins wait and there I had the three medications. 2 something in the morning, dropping off/picking up medication was great because no long lines. All the normal people were asleep. Went home tired that night (morning,) but relieved! Only wished this service was done closer to my work, or closer to home! read more

The managers have hired some of the rudest clerks that ever existed, except for the older one. So customers be warned... treat them like dirt before they treat you like that and pray for computer check outs. Good riddance!!! read more

Every time I go into this pharmacy Melany and Lola have a warm smile and attitude. They a help me with my prescriptions quickly and professionally. And sometimes the waiting line can be long. They are truly assets to this CVS store. I wouldn't hesitate to refer family and friends to this pharmacy. read more

The worst store service for twenty four hour CVS manager Laurie had zero class and kept me waiting and I spent sat night Sunday early am there until she could guess at how to work rewards coupons( Elder man at register was terrible and classless too calling manager at every mishap he made and blamed computer for errors.Do not frequent this business until they hire competent help! They don't know how to treat customers properly and w class!! I spent over three hundred dollars here and Laurie couldn't even honor sale prices fifty percent off car charger since only had one left it was buy one get one half off.So I will have to wait for Mike store manager to give me their discounts.Did not get out of there before midnight as it took them forever to Think about how to get rewards honored and still messed up my order! incompetent help except for new guy Andrew who got almost whole order correct except for car charger and Xmas cards which were by UNICEF charity Oy no comment! Recently the CVS on Main Street in Wayland Ma opened for drive-thru Covid testing with an appointment. Making the appointment (got one within 24 hours) and the drive-thru experience were great. Nothing since then has been even remotely satisfactory: 1. When results come in they are supposed to call or text you to tell you to sign on to their My Chart, which you need to enroll in after your test. 2. They initially said results would be available in 2 or 3 days, then 5 or 6. It is now 10 days and I've heard nothing. 3. I tried to log in to My Chart just to see if it was working, but couldn't even do that. 3. Tried to contact them via a help email 4 days ago to see what was causing the the delay in results and the My Chart issues, but have heard nothing back. 5. I tried calling the CVS pharmacy where I had the test and was told to call a Minute Clinic number. So far, haven't been able to get through. Very promising start, totally unsatisfactory follow-through. Waiting 10 days or more for results makes them pretty much useless. read more

I usually get good service from my local CVS pharmacy. However, if ANY problem develops, it is impossible to resolve. I have been on hold for 48 minutes on the minute clinic service line. I registered as a patient, while waiting, and tried to write an email to "contact us". there is only a telephone number - the same number on which I have waited 48 minutes so far. I cannot get results of a COVID-19 test. The local store refers me to the minute clinic. The minute clinic line does not answer. There is no way to send a question or respond, without calling the number that has you on hold for a VERY long time. I have yet to be served and doubt I ever will be served on this line. read more

The Pharmacy staff at this store is terrible! I called to check on a prescription refill at 7:30am on 3/12/17, someone picked up the phone, interrupted me mid sentence after she her refill, told me to hold, left me holding for 15 minutes...never came back to me...so I had to hang up. No customer service at all. Abrupt and rude! It's sad to see how people don't care when someone may be sick and calling for their prescription. It's a testament to the poor state of medical services in these large chain pharmacies. read more

The problem is that they just can'g get three prescriptions on automatic refill for the same day. I've been trying to get this working for over a year and they still can't get it right. I'm thinking maybe it's a marketing ploy to get you in the store more often, hoping you'll buy more misc. items while you are there. Working at a doctor's office and needing to call in a prescription to this pharmacy is ridiculous. Hold waiting times are 30 minutes or more, most the time over an hour before anyone answers. Fax number is not listed anywhere on the site. Might I suggest that be posted somewhere for us Healthcare providers. It would be more convenient than waiting hours on hold read more

This place was very unprofessional. My boyfriend had his wisdom teeth taking out and they called at 8am to make the order. We arrived at 9:15 and they didn't even put it in the system. This is my pharmacy for sometimes. I usually take a brand name blood pressure med that cost me 5 dollars a pill. I realized one of the pill was only 1/2. I called but could not get hold of anybody for a few calls. Then on my third attempts I talked to a pharmacist introduced herself as Chong. I spelled it x2 and she said is correct spelling. She told me to come to the store and talk to Suvi the pharmacist in charge. I made the trip to talk to the pharmacist she said there is no one by name of Chong working here. After explaining the situation she mentioned a pharmacist named Trong is working and then she did not give me that pill . She said that they cannot do anything and I have to call directly the company. I called the company left a message but no one called me back. Problem: first the pharmacist should have given me a pill since I bought it from there but she didn't. So is not worth my time anymore to pursue that any further but I don't think a big pharmacy like Cvs should cheat their customers like that. read more

DO NOT PRINT YOUR PHOTOS HERE. Yes, that was worth "yelling"... So I went to a Giant's game and had someone take our picture with the two World Series trophies with my iPhone. My dad bought a picture, but they were nice enough to just snap a photo with my phone while we were posed for the picture they took that was purchased. I was going to have the photo from my phone printed as a 5x7 for a Christmas gift. Shutterfly doesn't do 5x7s for pickup, so I went to the CVS site directly and uploaded my picture and voila - pictures will be ready in an hour... So I show up to pick up my photos and they have been printed, HOWEVER... they "looked like professional photos" so they would not sell them to me stating that they would be in violation of copyright laws to sell them to me. I reiterated that the picture was taken by an employee of the Giants stadium with an iPhone. Nope, they "look professional" because we were posed with the trophies and the background, etc. I asked "is there a 'copyrighted' or 'trademarked' or 'all rights reserved' or watermark or ANYTHING that proves that the photo cannot be reproduced? Nope, it's just the photo guy's OPINION that it looks professional. So, if you can take any sort of a decent picture that might look professional, they won't print it for you here because you can't PROVE that it's not copyrighted. So I asked what would happen if I had printed copies of my wedding photos, or extra copies of a family portrait session here - after I purchased the rights to the pictures from the photographer. Yup, you guessed it - professional looking photos can't be printed. So if you are a decent photographer, look elsewhere for prints, because they will only print crappy, amateurish photos for you at this CVS location. read more

The cashiers are wonderful and always helpful. If there is a line of 3 or more, another cashier usually opens up another register. Items are usually stocked. I never have a problem with this CVS. I'm here at least once every two weeks for household & beauty items. They have great deals! Pay attention to your coupons printed on the bottom of your receipt! I just like the fact that this CVS is open 24 hours a day. It's really helpful when your kids are sick and you need that random thermometer or medication. If you coupon shop, CVS is place to go. This CVS is relatively clean and organized. My one complaint is that they don't always have enough cashiers there. The lines can get pretty long, and the angry blonde manager there will do nothing to help out with the line. Last time we went there, she walked around acting like she was checking the stock of something, while the one cashier there was dealing with many angry impatient customers. Manager finally got along to the cash register when customers went up to her to ask questions - seems like she's not a people person, nor does she seem happy to be there. read more

Just rating the photo dept. HORRIBLE!!! I don't know why, I keep giving them chances but i'm donnnnnne. Every time I've ordered a photo card or something customized, something ALWAYS goes wrong. I ordered photo card to be picked up today @ 11am. It's now 5pm, called the store and she said "oh, it's not ready, we don't have the paper". Even when I request to refill a prescription for the night before, it won't be ready until days later. One new script even took four days to finally be ready. For a place that's open 24 hrs, I'm really disappointed in this pharmacy's response time. read more

This place is a shit hole, went to pharmacy for flu shot after waiting 30 min with back pain my name was called by the rude guy that works there and told me to stand in line again, when I ask why do I have to stand in line again, without any explanation I was told I have to and there were 6 people waiting which in CVS takes at least 20 min to serve so when I ask to cancel the shot he rudely replied that he has but when I went to Walgreens I found out that they already charged my insurance so I had to go back to there talk to Amir the manager to reverse the charges. I called the corporate office told them about the incident they assured me that I will be contacted by upper management which never happened. Wow this place had a bathroom that was worse then anything I have ever seen for a major establishment. Toilet was clogged and over flowing, garbage can was filled to the brim and all over the floor and blood on the window. Seriously, management needs to be contacted. read more

Can I give zero stars? We made sure my son's refill was called in on Friday. I called Friday and was told it would be ready that evening. I told them we would be in either Saturday or Sunday. We have been trying to get my son on a therapeutic dose for the last 3 weeks. My husband went today to pick the med up and he was told he'd have to wait, it wasn't ready. He waited a while, figured they forgot him, and when he went up again, he was told they were out of the medication. They can order it tomorrow and it will be in on Wednesday. He was told there was no manager in tonight and he said there were several other disgruntled customers who asked and were told "no manager". I called when he got home and was put through to a manager. The guy tried to help, but was clueless. It's a category 2 med so the prescription can't be transferred to another pharmacy. There is not another CVS with the medication in stock. We have just wasted $290 for the last 3 weeks worth of meds as we had to pay out of pocket as we haven't met our deductible, so we will be starting over from point zero again on Wednesday. There was a lot of silence on the phone with the manager. He didn't seem to even know what to do to even TRY to resolve this and we had to ask. I got a bunch of excuses as to why I was told it would be ready. "it's an expensive medication so we don't keep a lot on hand". I get that, but don't tell me it will be ready for pick up then when you don't even have any in stock. I also work night shift as a nurse and they would call me repeatedly to let me know other prescriptions were ready. I received 4 phone calls in one 6 hour period letting me know a prescription was ready, but they can't be bothered to tell me they're out of medication? We were forced to switch to CVS due to an change in our insurance. I don't care where I have to go now, it will not be to a CVS. You've lost a customer forever, and I know you guys really don't care. read more

The pharmacy is always super busy. The employees are very nice but they are severely understaffed. Don't bother calling in an automated refill for a prescription they are DAYS behind on the automated system. Whatever time the computer confirms for you is a lie. Just spent 10 minutes on hold to find out my prescriptions that should have been ready last night are not done yet. I have to call back in an hour again to see if they are done. Then I'll have to wait on line in the store for at least a half hour to pick them up. The pharmacists are really helpful but they really need more of them working. This is clearly a management problem. Please get it together! read more

Their pickup and drop off service is so crap. They don't value the time of customers. I went to the drop off and gave my prescription and they told they are going to announce my name within 10 - 15 minutes when the medicine is ready. I waited almost 30 - 35 minutes I didn't hear any announcement. Then I stood in line at the pick up, at the counter the lady told me it's not ready, it's waiting for the insurance to confirm. Initially I had clearly told while giving the prescription that it's going to be out of my pocket, no insurance. I didn't understand which insurance they were waiting for. Then she told she is going to expedite the fulfillment and asked me to stand beside the pickup counter so that she could call me in 5 to 10 minutes when its ready. I waited there almost 40 minutes, she didn't call me. Then I again came in the line and asked whether it's ready or not. She mentioned that it's ready. My question to her was if it was ready why the hell they didn't inform me and made me wait unnecessarily for 30 more minutes? Their service is really bad. This is not the first time I am experiencing this kind of service, I had experienced it before also. Next time onward I will ask my doctor to send the prescription to some other pharmacy like Walgreens. read more

The pharmacy in this CVS is severely understaffed. I came in here to get some over the counter medication that required me to take a card and pick up the medication from the pharmacy counter. That's totally fine with me but the line was just ridiculously long and they didn't have all the counters open. They should definitely have more people staffed since they clearly needed more people to work behind the counters for the amount of people that were there. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy I've ever used. They continuously disappoint! I am still waiting on a prescription that was supposed to be ready two weeks ago. They requested a refill from my doctor via fax, but never bothered to follow up and follow through with the order. It is partially my doctor's office too, but once I learned that CVS never called to follow up, I acted on the matter and made the phone call. Seriously? If the staff is too busy to do their job properly, maybe it's time to hire more people to help! For the record, they've also mixed up my medications before. Be cautious when using this pharmacy. Pharmacy wait times suck, they are nice but way under staffed. Photo Dept is a sad excuse for one. I waited to pick up an order for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement from the cashier who was just a few feet away from me. I left in frustration. The next day I came back and the manager just happened to be opening the safe and I asked to pick up my photos. I had 2 orders and the 2nd one didn't get pulled out of their system and printed. He told me he'd print it right away since there was only 4 to print. I shopped around and came back to an empty photo dept. This time I asked the cashier ( the same one who ignored me the day before) for help. She said, "there's no one to help you." Umm what?! I finally got someone to help me and they were nice enough to only charge me for one order for my I convenience. Note: the cashier with the bright pink lipstick and Hawaiian accent, should be sent for training on customer service, tact, and general retail interactions. read more
