When I arrived, there was one person in front of me at the pharmacy register. I waited patiently. As soon as that customer was finished, the pharmacy technician told me they were closing for lunch. I explained that I had just received a notification from Walgreens to pick up my prescription, and there was no mention in either message that the pharmacy would be closed between 1:30 and 2:00 PM. Her response? "It's Saturday," said with a dismissive tone, as if I was supposed to know their lunch schedule. Then, right in front of me, she shut the pharmacy gate in my face while two other staff stood aside doing nothing. Not a single person made an effort to help--despite Walgreens being the one to ask me to come pick up my prescription. This was my first time at this location--and will definitely be my last. If this is how Walgreens treats its customers, I'll be taking my prescriptions elsewhere. It would've taken less than a minute to hand me my medication before closing. Instead, they chose to be rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.

While staying in Minneapolis, I stopped into a close-by Walgreens to get a few items. I have alway seen locations in downtowns and this one was right around the corner from where I was staying. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright with clean isles to navigate through. This incredibly delightful staff was over the top in greetings. Happy to see a customer. Happy to help a customer. Happy to speak with a customer. I needed a few items ranging from water to shaving cream. They had plenty of items to choose from and I pleased that their house brand is a substantially reduced price and the same item. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in. The team member behind the counter just personified the model employee of engagement, spreading happiness and loving to be able to help. Kudos to a wonderful team here at Walgreens.

When I need an item in a locked case, and I press the button, two or three associates come running with a key! What a difference from the one in Robbinsdale, which is in the next town, when I was denied an item from the case, because no one had a key! My doctor is in this building, so this is the pharmacy that I use regularly. They do a pretty good…read morejob. They are usually running behind, so even though it takes about twenty minutes after the prescription is sent to get down there, I always have to wait. They are always surprised that I'm picking up right now. Maybe most people don't, or they can't see that I was just at the doctor? I'm not sure which, but there is definitely a communication gap somewhere. They used to have a large selection of gifts, but this has gradually been phased out, and there is very little in that section anymore. Happily, this is because they sell more OTC medication, which makes sense. They also sell vitamins and I often get an essential oil. They have Nature's Truth brand. I would love to see them carry some healthy foods. I'm often here in the morning and haven't eaten. I saw that they have almonds, but they only have the heavily salted ones.

There maybe is a sliver of a chance they'll have it in stock or be able to fill it within a few days, and if that's the case you'll be lucky enough to pull up and find that you only have to wait 30 mins to an hour and a half to pick it up :-) that is, if they didn't decide to close without warning due to short staffing. They have a nice photo desk and pharmacy. Everything processes very fast. The staff are always very pleasant and friendly when I come in. If you need help finding something, just ask someone. They have a pretty large parking lot and it has a redbox outside. Good place to stop in if you need something. You never know what else you may find and what good deals you may get!
