The Minute clininic here is a night mare , just stay away. They have the worst customer service ever. The can't do the simple things correctly. I did my health screening for my insurance here after 2 weeks nothing updated, went in again for an hour, I was promised the problem will be solved and they are gonna follow up with me another week passed nothing happened. This is the worst CVS I've ever been to. Every single time I fill a prescription they get something wrong--wrong dosage, system glitch so they can't fill prescriptions, prescription not ready even though I received a reminder call--and the list goes on and on. They have new people rotate through there all the time who don't know what they are doing, lack supervision, and makes things much more difficult and confusing than necessary. Lines are always long and phone is always busy. Horrible horrible pharmacy. CVS corporate should be embarrassed by this store and it's sad and frustrating that managers and supervisors don't seem to care enough to make any effort to improve the quality, patient care, and customer service. I have an electronic 12 month coupon for my RX. Every month I have to remind the pharmacy that I have the coupon in their system when I drop off the prescription. Every month I have to remind them again of that coupon when I pick up the medication so they can reprocess it again or they will charge me full price. Eight months into the coupon year and 16 reminders on my part. Really???? read more

The Minute Clinic was perfect. Quick in and out to relieve double ear infections. Eliminated a 3 hour or more wait at the ER that I would have had to go through. The CVS Rewards program has been very beneficial for the family this year in purchasing Sun Lotions, soda and over the counter medications. Only reason for not giving 5-stars, the staff is not always helpful. Some employees seem to dodge the chance to help a customer. read more

Forget what you might have read somewhere about it being possible to negotiate prescription drug prices. CVS will not budge. I have to pay out of pocket for one med and I asked the clerk what was the difference between the insurance and retail prices she said no difference. I asked if they would meet Costco pricing, nope, they won't. When I mentioned I was a furloughed Fed, she said 'no if's' although I did not pose an "If" question at any time in an effort to get a better price on that medication. The upshot is that after several years of using this pharmacy and the Minute Clinic, I am terminating my relationship with CVS. Edit: WTF? I went to pick up the last Rx my dr phoned in but it was not ready after one week! Is this some new practice by pharmacies, not filling an Rx until the customer shows up to pick it up? I hope not! Edit 2: As has been mentioned on the news several times, Costco's pharmacy has the lowest prices and you do not have to be a member of Costco to use their pharmacy. read more

They've really gone downhill. No customer service. Manager Tammy couldn't have been more rude. There was a product clearly marked on sale but the computer didn't have the sale price. So I asked for the manager. Tammy couldn't have been more short with me. Just refused to change the price, even though it was clearly on sale. She took the product and walked to the other side of the store without saying anything to me. They should really invest in some good customer service. There are so many competing stores around here. No sense in wasting your time where your business is not valued. Also now those extra care bucks really mean much less. Unless you can come in and use them rather quickly, they expire and they don't except them even a few days after they expire. So you buy something thinking you're getting some kind of benefit, but you really aren't. If you let them expire, they have no wiggle room to keep you a happy customer. You used to be able to use those way after expiration date, but now they refuse even one hour after the expiration date. Waste of time going there! read more

Someone at CVS needs to intervene with this pharmacy. I called in a refill and went to pick it up. I arrive and they tell me that they have multiple copies of my profile in the system (yes! I have asked that to be fixed multiple times). Then they tell me that they show no medications for me. I hand them the pill bottle that I am refilling. They come back and say the medication is on backorder. I ask why no call? They say they don't even have a record of me trying to refill?!? I said, nicely, that there are lots of complaints about the pharmacy and I wonder if they are aware. She shrugs and says "I'm sorry, try another pharmacy and walks away!!!! read more

The customer service in the pharmacy dept. is terrible. They are not friendly at all on the phone or in person with the exception of one person. I am in the customer service business and it shocks me that the manager/owner of this CVS has not addressed this issue which is clearly an issue if you read all of the reviews. I just called to refill a prescription and there was no professional introduction on the phone. It was as if I called someone's house and a rude person answered. The person on the phone seemed as though she was being bothered to do her job and when the conversation was over she simply hung up the phone without even so much as a goodbye or thank you for calling. RUDE! Ok that was my vent and now I hope someone decides to understand the importance of providing good customer service for EVERY customer. read more

If there were options for zero stars I would leave it. This pharmacy is horrible. The wait time is five times longer then the Safeway right near it. I hadn't been here in years and decided to give it another chance as my pharmacy was out of stock with my medicine. They told me the wait was thirty minutes. It's been over an hour. Non apologetic. Hoards of people waiting and it's not even flu season. Will NEVER be back. read more

I don't understand... If you have an advertised closing time of 7:30, then why not take patients until 7:30? This is what I ran into at this Minute Clinic just now. I had to work all day, and looked online to see when I could get to Minute Clinic. The closing time is 7:30, according to their website. So I arrived at 7:15 to sign in. There was nobody else waiting. I go through the sign in process at the computer, and the last step says they are sorry but they are not taking any patients as the wait time would extend past their closing time. 15 minutes? Seriously? What they should then put on their advertised closing statements is "clinic closes at 7:30, last sign in at 7:00" or whatever time they choose. Something to that effect, at least. I mean, where I work, we close at 6, but if a customer walks in at 5:45 we don't tell them to come back some other time because they didn't give us enough time to get our ducks in a row! No, we welcome them, and we wait for them... Because they are the customer! read more

Avoid the Minute Clinic. I waited for 1 hr. 45 minutes before leaving. Three patients were seen ahead of me and the third was still with the nurse practitioner. It made me question the overall competence of the nurse. Additionally, the intake IT system took patients an average of 13 minutes to complete. There was no communication from the nurse practitioner on wait times and the CVS managers could have cared less that clients were dissatisfied. I gave this location one star only because there was no option to give zero stars. read more

This was my first experience with a minute clinic. I didn't have a very long wait, about 20 minutes. The woman who saw me was very nice. I had a horrendous sore throat and at first I was very upset that she didn't give me antibiotics, so I didn't write a very great review, but as it happened, I didn't have strep after all, just some kind of viral infection, so I guess she was right to do that. Unfriendly environment, if you ask to use coupon almost all of them get offended. If you are not native speaker, it is very obvious the store staff get so impatient. Pharmacist with heavy Persian accent is awfully a disadvantage to this low grade store. Always complains to the other colleagues how bad is CVS. Sorry, Dee (the reviewer just below me), but you have obviously never met ZAHRA, the tech who works at the CVS pharmacy in Darnestown! I really really really wanted to patronize CVS ever since they stopped selling tobacco products, and i live very close to this particular store where my husband and I get our prescriptions filled. However, I stopped in a few weeks ago for a Shingles vaccine and ZAHRA, the pharmaceutical tech that I spoke with looked at my insurance information online only and said my Blue Cross didn't pay for the vaccine. (I thought this was odd since my plan covers all other medicines.) She then said, that will be $345. She was rude and disinterested in helping me decipher the reason that I was expected to fork over to CVS this amount of money. Of course, I left there and went directly to Giant, where they smilingly said they would call Blue Cross to ensure the coverage. Not five minutes later, they said all was fine, and they would be happy to administer the vaccine in their very private vaccination room! It was much better than the very public area where CVS would have administered it (since they don't use the Minute Clinic for this purpose)! Just a week ago, I returned to CVS on an early weekday afternoon when there were only three other customers in the store. I went to pick-up my automatically renewed prescriptions and, yup, there was ZAHRA again at the register. She absolutely does not know how to crack a smile or make me feel like she was glad for my visit or patronage. She isn't warm, empathic, or friendly at all. If anything, even fulfilling a business transaction with her is downright depressing. And, by the way, I was supposed to pick up two prescriptions that their texting service told me in advance were ready. However, ZAHRA only handed me one, and when I asked where the second prescription was, she forlornly shuffled away--without even answering me--and had the pharmacist on-duty fill the second prescription that I was told was already waiting for me. ZAHRA is absolutely the worst pharmacy staff member I have ever encountered, and I'm about to take my prescriptions to Giant because of her disinterest and rudeness in serving me. read more
