Got an appointment online for vaccination. Arrived on time. Was told there would be "quite a wait"…read more When I asked about time frame, was told between 30-40 minutes. Sat, sat, sat, sat, waited, sat. Finally was called up to fill paperwork out (mind you I had filled out info online as well). Had a gentleman come up and interrupt the person who was giving me my paperwork after 25 minute wait, he asked for walk up vaccines and was told they would get to him in about the same time as they quoted me with an appointment. Poor customer service and very limited services. Oh - and didn't meet their quoted wait time for the delay on my appointment time. From what they were quoting walk ups - not sure they treat appointments any differently than they do walk ups.

Got to Walgreens at 1:45 they told me " her script will be ready at 2:15 -2:30 pm because the pharmacist was on lunch" My husband went there at 2:30 they then told him the " pharmacist was in a convention and it wouldn't be done till 3:15-3:30 . " then my husband went back AGAIN at 3:50 pm and was told " IT STILL Wasnt READY BECAUSE HE WAS DOING FLU SHOTS" so he called me from the parking lot and I called with frustration because my daughter had been crying for hours in pain . They then proceeded to tell me that they had 6 FLU shots to do and they couldn't give me a exact time! after I said I would pick her script up and go somewhere else they then said another 20 min! This is uncalled for! Someone comes out of surgery and they need their meds right away and the Pharmacist is taking FLU shots over this! 3 times driving to the pharmacy is uncalled for ! I bet if this was his kid it be different ! I'm over Walgreens nothing but problems !

As I left the house, my wife gave me her new insurance card and asked to see if I could get a better price than the "GoodRx" price. When I got to the Pharmacy, I held my breath, as the "aged 3 foot abusive imp" was behind the counter. After insinuating I was stupid for waiting for her to call me over, I took more of her sarcastic abuse while she was checking the new insurance cost vs the GoodRx. Thankfully, I just smiled, tried to be pleasant, got my wife's prescription, and got out of there with just a fraction of the abuse I got last time. I just don't understand how anyone could be so unhappy. Wow, how could anyone tolerate this bridge troll time and time again? Hopefully it'll be a good long time before I have to face her again. I will still go back to the store for the nutraceuticals, cards, etc..., but hope my wife will get her own prescriptions from now on....

I came in here the other day to get my 2nd shingles vaccine as I got my 1st one @ a CVS back in Las Vegas & knew that they would have a record of this because I wasn't sure of the exact date of when I did get my 1st shingles shot. The lady @ the pharmacy counter was very nice & was able to pull me up by my name & DOB. I had to update my insurance info as my plan changed the first of the new year. It was very busy when I stopped in here on a Thursday afternoon around 4pm. I didn't schedule an appointment for my vaccine as I was having trouble connecting to the CVS app. I tell ya the Verizon cell phone service in this area isn't the best. I was able to get my vaccine as a walk in even though it was busy. Jaime the pharmacist was the one who gave me my shingles shot. He was very friendly & nice to chat with. He gave me my shot without any issues (yes, the shingles vaccine does hurt! As I tell patient's "its not the needle that hurts its the medicine) & I had told him how I use to work here in my 20's. The pharmacy has grown as I counted probable about 5-6 people behind the counter. The store has even grown too. I have found that it has gotten more crowded with aisles/products, as if they put more in this store. There isn't much room to move down an aisle if there is someone else in it too. I did get my coupons from their coupon machine & did some shopping based on what coupons I had. I do find CVS to be more expensive than Walmart but with the coupons it helped by lowering the prices of some of the items that I wanted to buy. I did go to the self checkout (which I hate) & did have some problems with scanning my items but one of the employees came over right away & helped me fix the issues. I do find that it can be a pain in getting out of if you park on the smaller parking lot side so I went home the back way then trying to fit to get back out on islington street.

The food is fresh and there are a lot of options--even specialty items. The ice cream aisle has everything from known brands to little creameries. You can buy auto gear, makeup, meat, wine and gardening supplies in one visit, and of course fill a prescription. I like that it's near the library, fire department and close to the post office. Love this town living.
