Not to be confused with CBS which is a record label, TV studio, and such. This is the CVS located at Waugh Drive and Dallas, and it's pretty expensive which is the main problem, but that's the same with every CVS. They usually are pretty well stocked, and more friendly than a lot of these locations. read more

I enjoy going to store because the employees are great but what's going on with their coupons? I have a .35 cent reward on the card. Wow! I used to get very nice 40% coupons off of a single item but not any longer. At least I had a LOT of E-coupons to choose from but not anymore. There's just a few on the site but there is a promo that you have to pay money in order to get extra deals. It doesn't make sense to shop at CVS if it's not worth my while. The absolute worst customer service I've experienced in the 10 years. I came in this afternoon to report several areas of broken glass and trash in the parking lot. very dangerous to customers and my dog got shards of glass in his front paw. This location has become very dirty, the trash surrounding the property is never picked up, etc. the worst was trying to speak to Jonathan the manager who refused to see me. The hours and service. Pharmacy closes for 30 minutes a day and there is no information stating this on the window with hours of operation. I would NEVER use this store for anything if I had a choice, unfortunately I have to because of my insurance. Stop with the self checkout as well. You have employees standing around checking their phones and looking at their fingernails and not one person behind the counter to check people out. I have an ongoing prescription with renewals posted with this CVS branch. I have been trying to get the renewal filled, but they keep telling me that I have to get this cleared by my doctor. My doctor had already posted multiple refills so, when they investigated, it turned out that CVS had run out of the medicine I need. When I called CVS to explain that I have been stretching my current supply waiting to get the renewal, they said that they had been out of the medicine for about a week and had not yet ordered a new supply. With any product, this would be annoying. With medicine, it is reprehensible and dangerous. My doctor has moved my prescriptions elsewhere. read more

My girlfriend was in the store for 3 minutes till a elderly woman of color with a blonde wig and glasses accused her of shoplifting makeup. She showed the woman and the security officer her bag which didn't contain the supposed shoplifted makeup and showed both women where she put the makeup that she picked up which was a display over its original spot. She didn't apologize even though she was clearly in the wrong but she did call my girlfriend fat and a b*tch. Mind you this woman wasn't skinny herself and 2nd of all she was on the clock talking foul to a customer. My friend who was with her in the store told the manager who didn't even seem to care. Avoid at all costs unless you want you be publicly accused of shoplifting if you check out at the pharmacy. Even with a bag. And the pharmacist verifies. FRIEDA, the woman at the register will undoubtedly stand in front of your car and take photos of you- and not tell you why until you ask- which was initially funny as I assumed she just liked my vehicle, resulting in me not pulling out immediately from my parking spot (right at the door), so for whatever reason she was photographing me wasn't skewed, I waited till she came around my car before politely asking if I could help her something. Cue next-level unacceptably rude behavior towards me, again even after slightly recoiling telling me she did in fact just verify my presence with the pharmacist and that I was indeed just there. I calmly suggested she'd be welcome to go through my bag, my handbag, my car, anything she wanted. She never once apologized, nor would she look me in the eye or distinguish her disrespect towards me and with that, I simply said I'd be happy to drop this if she apologized as there were several patrons who witnessed his. But she refused. Multiple times. I will never darken the door to this location and I hope that you heed my advice. So if you have to get Claritin-D, make sure you play it safe for FRIEDA and never ever ever ever buy your energy drink and bag of chips at the pharmacy with your Claritin-D and LEST WE FORGET, we must show our ID with said purchase. UPDATE: I have spoke to numerous people at the corporate office and each one was appalled at the lack of respect and overall malfeasance FRIEDA displayed. Per the supervising manager, I should be expecting another call tomorrow regarding actions being taken or planned to be taken. Defamation of character isn't at all charming. read more

Looking to be ignored, hustled or degraded? Want to waste your time filling out forms online? Well, I've found the perfect "pharmacy" for you! Now, I realize there are plenty of sh***y "pharmacies" around - (the worst of the worst being EVERY Walgreens). I am now giving you one more option - the CVS on Waugh Drive 77019. You can recognize it by the filthy parking lot. A few days ago I decided to get my Covid booster and a flu shot. I looked online at the government website to find where the Pfizer vaccine was available (surprisingly hard to find). The particular "pharmacy" showed that they had it in stock so I went through the 10 screens of information required for an appointment and booked it a few days out. All set! Ah, but alas, I was wrong. I checked In as directed, sat in the plastic chair as directed by the cardboard sign placed over the dirty plastic at the vaccine window and waited. Mr. Pharmacist (I won't name him as he is just a pawn in the problem and he seemed professional and nice at first). Well, when I showed them my insurance card and it was United Healthcare and Optum, a look of mild disgust came over his face. "We don't do Optum here - that's Walgreen's"! Wtf? First of all, I refuse to go to Walgreens. So Mr. Pharmacist says - oh, you can pay the cash price -$49 for the flu shot and the covid shot will be covered. "okay, I'll just get the COVID shot", I said, with an eye-roll. Twenty minutes later Mr. Pharmist was ready. "Where is your vaccine card" he said. "On my refrigerator", I said. Well you should have brought it. "Unnecessary" I said. The CDC records it and every healthcare provider has access to those records. As he prepared the shot I said goodbye and walked out. During those 20 minutes sitting in the plastic lawn chair, I scheduled the COVID AND the flu shot at Kroger - same day. I would have had to go there for the flu shot anyway, so......no time lost, just wasted. i asked Mr. Pharmacist why I wasted time filling out the 10 screen scheduling form (including my insurance info). Why was I accepted for an appointment with that info being known? Mr. Pharmacist took no responsibility for it, he just growled that he just does what he's told. So, no accountability either. Shameful. This is typical of all these chain pharmacies. Apparently Aetna (owner of CVS) now has agreed with UHC/Optum to divide customers into a CVS cattle pen and a Walgreens cattle pen before going into the "machine" for shaming, pain, and treatment of varying quality. Finally changed pharmacies after 2 experiences in the past month that have left me wondering about the ethical standards of the pharmacy employees of this CVS. A few weeks ago I needed to pick up an antibiotic for a double bacterial infection. When I got to the pharmacy they said they didn't have the antibiotic. That was it. They don't have it. Offered no other comments or suggestions. When I asked if they could help me transfer the prescription/request it to another location, I kid you not, I was told "I'm gonna be honest, I don't have time for that." Cue me calling 3 different CVSs and driving to 2 different locations over the next few days to get partial fills of my prescription that I could manage to find in my city. Today's story: after a week of back and forth between my insurance, my doctor and my Pharmacy, I finally get a call from my doctor yesterday afternoon that the off-brand of my prescription would be ready for pick up today with no issues from my insurance. It was a little odd considering I didn't receive any text confirmation from the pharmacy, so I decided to call before I drove over there and (inevitably) wasted my time. When I called today and explained my situation I was met with the most delightfully monosyllabic employee who expressed 0 desire to figure out what was going on with my prescription. I explained that I should have the off-brand ready for pick up to which she said "I need to look into this." Okay...like...now...later..? After 30 seconds of silence I said "I'm a little confused, do you need more information from me?" To which I was met with another 30 seconds of silence (I wish I was exaggerating). Just completely ignored. Finally the employee responds "Your doctor filed 'Brand Name Prescription' wrong, they need to approve it." Except I literally just told her that that was the wrong prescription and the off brand should have been called in yesterday. All she responded with was "it's not ready." Okay, like "It's not ready now, but will be later?" Again, the employee responds "it's not ready." "So should I call my doctor..?" "Yes." at that point I thanked her (not sure why) and hung up. So anyway, thank god I didn't need any life saving prescriptions and this was more of a massive inconvenience than potentially life-threatening negligent customer service experiences. Makes me very concerned for anyone that does have more serious medical issues with time-sensitive medication here. I would advise avoiding this location at all costs if you have sensitive prescriptions. Or if you just want to be treated like a human. read more

I called Thursday to the Waugh location to let the pharmacist know my prescription was sent to there location by my doctor but I got a notification from the Kingwood location that my prescription was ready. I had just moved from Kingwood. The person at Waugh said he could not fill my prescription because it wasn't allowed until next month. I explained that it was filled in Kingwood and I needed it cancelled at that location. He said he couldn't do that because there were several locations in Kingwood and he didn't have the number. I told him there were only two locations and I gave him the number. He said it was the corporate number. I told him that it was the number that called me that said my prescription was ready. We went back and forth on and on until I hung up frustrated. I then called the Kingwood location and explained the problem. The lovely lady at that location told me that the person at the Waugh location could have easily canceled the prescription and filled it at their location. I told her I went round and round with the other employee. She really was annoyed I was told that. She offered to call that location to explain to the person how to do his job. Hopefully my prescription is ready. I was not able to take it all weekend because we left for Iowa. 5 stars for Kingwood 4000 block. Zero for the Waugh location. Boy do I miss Kingwood. read more

The people giving this CVS such low ratings obviously have some personal beef with the store. The pharmacists here are thoughtful, helpful and highly personable. I come in monthly to pick up a prescription and they are always friendly, courtesy and treat me the way they would a family member. I hurried into a Walgreens not long ago and remembered why I will never do so again. It was the exact opposite experience. Loyal customer for many years. Won't be changing any time soon. read more

This pharmacy is terrible. The drive thru doesn't open until 10:00am during the week. One of the drive thru stalls is perpetually broken. You can expect to wait upwards of 20-30 minutes for a prescription that is confirmed ready. It may be that they're understaffed, but I would avoid this location. read more

The 2-star rating really represents my experiences at most CVS locations. This place was okay - I just needed a couple of bottles of water. I was greeted by a woman stocking merchandise when I walked in, and the man who checked me out was friendly. In general, CVS doesn't seem to be real great on having enough people staffed for the shifts - I tend to wait in long lines every time I go, at every location. And I agree with things being overpriced - unless you're doing the whole CVS bucks thing (which I don't care enough about, or shop here enough, to get involved in all that) you're better off going anywhere else. read more

After a short exchange Sherona became very rude, snapping back at me when I asked her to verify the name that she had searched for and continued to display an attitude throughout the short remainder of the call. On two separate occasions, they prepared the wrong prescription for me. On the second occasion, the pharmacist actually argued with me and told me that was the prescription the doctor sent in. When I asked to see the prescription, she printed it off and it was for another person. These types of mistakes can be life-threatening. I also reported her to CVS. read more

I disagree with the review about the pharmacy staff being rude. They are the friendliest and most helpful pharmacy staff I've ever dealt with and my prescriptions are always filled quickly. Plus, one lady always tells me "I hope you feel better soon!" when I'm sick. There are at least 3 pharmacies closer to home I could go to, but I've never gotten around to switching because I like dealing with nice people and not having to wait a long time for my medication. Also, I have never seen a bum here. The only thing negative I have to say is that CVS marks home items like laundry detergent and toilet paper up much higher than the grocery stores. read more
