The staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. I feel like they welcome me warmly and are very knowledgeable and helpful.

This is for the drive thru pick up prescription experience. The app is helpful on your phone because it texts you when your medicine is ready and also how much it costs. I haven't paid in advance yet but the staff at the drive through sound cheerful and I usually get my card taped to my medicine bag and I'm in and out. I find that early morning may be less busy and and end of day busier. It's nice to have this one in such a convenient location by Memorial Park. Highly recommended! read more

I'm very surprised to see this CVS Pharmacy store located in a strip mall ended with TC Jester on Washington Ave. I was leaving my optometrist office and wanted to get some snacks before heading home. The store layout is very typical. There are enough customers doing the same, I think. Line wasn't terribly long. But there was no sign as how to line up. It seems 2 lines feeding to a single line in front of cashiers. I stayed on the right side of entrance, while the opposite end had 2 people. An older lady was in front of line and she was doing some eCommerce on her phone. Talking so loud. Everybody could hear what she ordered. I felt bad for the gentleman waiting behind her. Because she didn't move for 5 minutes. After I checked out, he was still waiting behind her. I guess he was doing eCommerce too. The signal lights are kind of tricky. Leaving the parking lot is TC Jester. I guess TC Jester ends at this strip mall. Waze app told me to go straight to catch Katy Freeway. That was great quick getaway to go home. THE ABSOLUTE WORST PHARMACY EVER! They don't answer the phone, hate answering questions, and are too lazy to run coupons or properly verify insurance. It's so sad because the pharmacist I've had the most unpleasant experiences with is a black woman. I have proved her wrong too many times to count, save yourself the HEADACHE and go somewhere else. read more

After 2 days without power, I came down to this CVS to get some water, etc.. I saw food trucks next door so I walked over to get ice cream. In the 10 minutes I was gone, my car was towed by Oscar's Wrecker Service. I managed to chase down the driver on foot as he had to stop because he had not properly secured my car and the wheels were turning. Fortunately my car seems to be ok. Yes there was a sign that said "towing enforced" but it did not specify the lot was only for CVS customers. Also the CVS lot was empty and I was planning to shop there. The tow truck driver told me CVS has people who watch people leave the lot and have the towed. I called CVS to complain about towing a customer's car, and they said the towing company watches and makes that call themselves. Either way, someone or both are lying. This is very much a dirty trick to rip people off. I had to pay $110 cash or zelle only to get my car released. It's especially shameful to do so during a natural disaster like we are dealing with right now. read more

Where do I even begin? let me start with the pharmacy - used to be good, now , yikes! After pestering me to pick up my prescription, I went and dropped off another prescription at the same time. They said 10 minutes - 35 minutes later, I gave up.i now have 2 prescriptions waiting. 2 people working the pharmacy at 5:30 pm - really? One old Chinese lady came in for a vaccine, so that took one person out of commission. 6 people in line now for just 1 pharmacy person (Not even counting the poor souls at the pick up window. Next, and by far the most irritating, a long line at the front counter with absolutely no rhyme or reason to the line flow. A manager was directing people into the self checkout lines - 3 registers with varying restrictions on each one. All I wanted was a soda and cashews. 7 people in line and only one clerk to check IDs and to fix the mistakes at the machines caused by the ridiculous "apply coupon" thing which we get charged $5 a month for. Well, 10 minutes waiting for help with the difficult machine, and the other people unable to check out because they were buying wine/beer etc. the line was at a standstill. The only cashier was talking to one man the whole time and not paying attention. The manager was now nowhere to be found. Uh oh - I raised my voice to get EVERYONE's attention! Immediately the fat guy talking to the clerk left, realizing he was causing her inattention (boyfriend?). She then helped me out with my issues and the other two people at their respective dysfunctional machines. She could not figure out how to ring up my order - apparently never trained on a cash register? I said thanks and was appreciative. In the meantime: the young manager who previously was directing traffic, re-emerged from the break room (?) with another manager. Still confusion and a long line, he decided to stack even more water bottles at the entrance of the store - stocked to the max already. I asked him if he was the manager. He said he was one of them. I then layed into him about what was around us and my experience. He said he would talk to the clerk. I said to him "oh no, this is on you, not her." You're the manager and you are not doing your job in terms of tending to priorities. "Your job son, is to help out wherever and whenever necessary to keep traffic moving." I felt bad, but indignant. This guy was a dear caught in the headlights - and busted! Not trained or nor capable of doing his job! I'd love to manage this store for a week - it's completely unsupervised. I'm sympathetic to stores being short-staffed, but when those who do show up can't even do their jobs......the fish rots at the head. I want to know who is ultimately responsible for this store! I will haunt them in order to figure out who should be held accountable for this disgraceful treatment of customers. stay tuned...... read more

Service was quick and friendly. I got one prescription filled and received a 4 foot long receipt. The length of receipts has always been a problem for me, but this is the worst one I ever received. I will no longer be going to any CVS because I am sick of their obnoxious receipts. read more

You definitely don't need to have any common sense to work here! The pharmacy is a nightmare. It's worth changing pharmacies or driving to one out of the way. I have had several issues picking up prescriptions. They will call and say they're ready then they can't find them. I have picked up prescriptions then gotten home and one or two would be missing, return to cvs with all receipts and proof, they'll refuse to give me my prescriptions as they made the mistake, then have me go back to my doctor for another prescription! This pharmacy has caused me several issues let alone the inconvenience of always having to go in. You can go to the drive through pick up, then they'll make you go inside, wait in line, go to a different line then back to the other line. It's a nightmare. UPDATE: unfortunately had some prescriptions sent here hoping for a change in service. Was picking up for my husband and I as we were just in a car accident. The woman refused to give me his prescriptions even though he was just discharged from the hospital and unable to be in the car. She said he needed to be there in person with his license. His prescription is basically Tylenol extra strength and she's calling it controlled. I've picked up medications for him on several occasions and Vice versa we have NEVER had any issue quite like this. I handed her a picture of his license, a credit card with his name on it, we are married and have different last names but have the same address and she continued to refuse. How do you expect people who are physically unable to pick up their prescriptions get a hold of these things?!!! She had an attitude with me and was extremely insulting. Worst CVS in Houston! Takes forever to pickup a refill. Not just once or twice but all the time. They are definitely short staffed

After getting several prescriptions filled at this location, I am fed up with their Pharmacy's service and turning around to go somewhere else. There is ALWAYS a line here and coincidingly they seem to always be understaffed. Even when I've dropped off the prescription and came back way later, or called in to refill my prescription-- it still takes me on average 30 minutes to get my meds that are just sitting on the shelf right behind them. Recently, I was picking up a refill and noticed that they changed my meds to the generic version (without my approval or the doctor's approval). They said it would take another 15 minutes to change it back to what my doctor prescribed. The pharmacist on staff said it was the same thing and was approved. Since I had been waiting for 25 minutes, I just decided to take the generic in a fury of impatience. Afterwards I called my doctor and she said that they don't recommend the generic because it has not been tested properly/not approved or something like that. I'm not sure if this is a common pharmaceutical practice to be replacing brand name to generics without approval, but my feeling is that it is not right. Prescribe what the doctor says, right? Anywho, money and time wasted. I've learned my lesson. read more

The past three times I have had to have my doctor resend my prescription. This was after I got an automated call from cvs saying they had the prescription ready for pickup. I've even watched them not realize that my prescription was right in front of them... Literally right in front of them. They lose prescriptions all the time, refill anywhere else. I had an interesting experience at this CVS. I went in to buy shampoo and conditioner, but on that aisle there happened to be a very agitated CVS employee who was stocking shelves while simultaneously having a very heated phone conversation with what I assumed was her significant other. Apparently, he had been dishonest in some way that was very upsetting to this employee. Let's just say that made my shopping experience a little awkward. Especially because I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I wanted to take my time browsing, and reading labels. It created a situation where it looked like I was eavesdropping on her heated argument (and I inadvertently was...), but I was sincerely just shopping for shampoo and conditioner. After a few minutes she told the person on the phone to hold on a few minutes and asked me if I needed any help - which honestly only strengthened my awkward feelings and made me feel like I needed to rush to get out of there. Get it together, CVS employee. Either fight with your SO in the break room or during your time off, but not while you're stocking shelves. It's embarrassing for all of us. They lost my medical insurance card. I ended up having to go back to my doctor for him to rewrite the prescription. The bathrooms are filthy. No soap. Dirty mop bucket. I called the customer service line to report both of these things. Waiting on a follow up call from a district manager and pharmacy supervisor. Don't bother filling here. read more

If there is a ZERO star rating, that's what this Pharmacy should get. That's specifically where I am aimed at - the Pharmacy. I can't say anything else about the front desk of the photo center. I've moved around the Uptown/Heights, etc. area a bit over the last 6 or so years and have tried all varying CVS pharmacies and this one is by far the WORST (check out CVS Richmond/Sage - they are the best!) Recap of events today: I had wanted to go to CVS Richmond/Sage to fill an order but instead, chose to go to TC Jester/Washington instead to avoid traffic. I wanted to do this in person because I had to pick up an item anyways while there. I am not sure of her name, but the target of this discussion and the reason why I detest this pharmacy now is because of a young skinny brunette/red-head with glasses. Yes, I'm spending time to write about this, that's how pissed off I am. When I arrived around 7:30PM, this "lady" was obviously already in a foul mood. I can hear her loudly complaining about her job to the African-American lady while the African-American lady was busy on the phone, probably not even listening to this "lady". All I can hear is her, yapping away, and everyone else is busy on the phone or intercom. She said I'd have to come back in an hour, no smile, nothing. I went home, called, and it was her who picked up and said, "Yes, both your prescriptions are filled now." I stopped by and she couldn't find my 2nd prescription. After rummaging about she then said, "Oh, this was filled already at another CVS on the 20th and they won't be able to transfer it so you will have to go pick it up." I said, "The Richmond location?" She replied, "Yes." I thought, "Hm, I know I can fill wherever I go, and they can transfer wherever I go, but alright, I'll head over there so I can get this over with today." She sneezed twice, I said "bless you" twice. No "thanks", nada. Obviously the girl hates her job. I drove over to Richmond and asked for my 2nd prescription. They said they didn't have it - it was filled in Dallas on Preston Road because that was the last time I picked up my medication, in Dallas, over Thanksgiving. Then they called Dallas, transferred my prescription over, and filled it for me within 5 minutes - all smiles. Turns out, the skinny brunette/red-head young lady at TC Jester did not bother calling the Dallas pharmacy to get the prescription transferred over. I drove there twice in an evening, with an hour or so in between, then drove again to another CVS because she was too lazy to call the Dallas location to do a transfer. So, if you have a choice - DO NOT GO TO THE CVS PHARMACY AT TC JESTER. Horrible service, especially from the brunette/red-head thin young lady with glasses. read more

I shop here often due to its location near my office. The bathroom is ALWAYS FILTHY!!!! That being said, if you stay to the store it is usually pretty nice. I have had no problems filling my prescription there. However, I have also not received any kind of assistance whatsoever from the pharmacy employees. Just fill, pay, go, next attitude. I called my doctor and the nurse explained my prescription details so I worked it out but have been accustomed to receiving at least the inquiry of, "do you have any questions regarding your medication". The front customer service, honestly depends on who is working. Many times I am greeted nicely and asked if I need help. The employees who do not care about their CVS store do not offer help at all. It is kinda hit or miss but do NOT use the restroom!!! It is disgustingly gross with broken soap dispenser not even on the wall. The trashcan is even disgusting and does not look like it is even wiped down, like ever. Taking a chance and rolling the dice with this CVS. read more

I love this CVS because it is open 24 hrs and nothing else around here is... you would be surprised how many times you need a drugstore at 3am. That being said I couldn't in good conscious give it a fifth star because you can go in there day or night and there is a line with at least 3 people in it... Seriously?!?!? It is like they have one person working there! And try to stay away between 1am-2am when people are looking for that last thing they need before they go home with a stranger and throw up in their car. read more

This is my local area CVS, a bit closer than Walgreens on T.C. Jester and it's 24 hours! I remember in my college years when it had first opened and sensing the beginning of doucheland of Washington Avenue. I was totally right but I like that this place is just a stop and go, you don't have to deal with anyone and it's quick and easy. Of course, it being CVS, it is more expensive than a grocery store or a Target or Walmart. Truthfully, I only show up when I need something on a whim, want to rent a Redbox movie or am heading home from work at 10 pm and need to grab some milk or other essentials. I've only visited when it's night time and it does have that weird pharmacy dingy feeling when I walk in, mostly because of the lighting. If I just want to go in and out, then this is the perfect place. read more

This is the most convenient CVS between work and home for me. The people at the registers are always very pleasant and the line goes quickly. I try not to buy too much here since it is more expensive then items at the grocery store, but I ALWAYS forget things when I'm at the grocery store (even with a list) so this is my place to go. My main complaint about CVS is that their pharmacy staff is always slow. I worked in a pharmacy for approx 8 years and that type of customer service would have gotten me fired. Oh and why can't they keep your CVS card on file at the pharmacy? I'm pretty sure it is your phone number and they obviously have that on file. read more

Worst customer service imaginable at the pharmacy department. STAY AWAY!!! I had my doctor call in my two prescriptions. A pharmacy tech left a voicemail with me saying one of the scripts was out of stock. That is all that the message said. No apology and no indication of when I could expect the medicine to arrive. I called the pharmacy to inquire about when it would be in stock, and (after being sent through countless automated messages) a pharmacy tech answered and told me: "Sorry, we can't say when the medicine will arrive until we order it. Why don't you try calling again at the end of next week when we may have ordered it." I asked if the pharmacy would call me when it was in stock and the tech responded: "No, that's not our policy. You will need to call when we receive the medicine and asked to have the prescription filled." The pharmacy tech then hung up the phone. I could not believe it: I had to call CVS to request my medicine because CVS did not have it in stock or I would not ever receive it -- the pharmacy tech acted as though CVS was doing me a favor by filling my prescriptions. I am thinking of writing a letter to CVS and to my insurer. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

Very bad customer service at their pharmacy! I called to ask if they carried a particular drug. The woman on the other end acted like I had just asked her to move a thousand pound weight. I had to call this Walgreens a few times to inquire about a few things and it is NOT uncommon for them to pick up and then immediately hang up or disconnect their customers. I come here often (at least twice a week) and everything is always stocked, clean, and the cashiers are friendly. Ebony helped me today, and she was the epitome of customer service! Her service compelled me to write this review and give her a shout out haha. She was friendly, really easy to talk to(and I'm usually quiet), and went out of her way to help me find something! This is of course your standard convenience store. There are some things about this one that sets it apart. They have a drive through pharmacy which is nice to have. It is also open 24 hours which is very convenient. Lastly they have a very friendly staff that greet you when you walk it. All in all you could definitely do worse. read more

So I stopped at this CVS to get a few snacks for my drive. Before buying my snacks I asked if I could use the restroom it's 1:10 am and I have been driving for 2 1/2 hours. This was one of the closest stores that was actually open for me to go inside buy my snacks and take care of personal needs so I thought. I ask the young man working the store if I could use the restroom before I purchased my items. He told me it was out of order. I then thought maybe he doesn't think I'm going to buy anything. I asked him well if you needed to use the restroom right now what would you do? Would the bathroom still be out of order? He said we don't have anywhere to use the restroom we just have to hold it. I just find this hard to believe. Anyway needless to say I left to find a store that would let me use the restroom and purchase my snacks. "Sale Prices" aren't really sales - in tiny type at the bottom of most of the markers is a note that that says 'with card only". Hence CVS is playing a legal bait-and-switch technique of suckering people into thinking they are getting a sales prices but that price only works when you have a CVS card - a point that is not at all obvious from the sales stickers. You arrive at checkout, only to find out your armful of items cost a lot more than you thought. This seems to be more of a corporate CVS issue than one just associated with this store. Legal - yes. I have also had just horrible service at this location. The pharmacy staff are inept and unprofessional, calling out personal questions in full earshot of customers and asking obtuse questions. And SLOOOOWWWW. The only person who has ever been knowledgeable and efficient here, was a pharmacist by the name of Donna, and I wrote CVS customer service to compliment her on her great service.
