The pharmacy at this location is HORRIBLE. I'm not sure of the why, but some of them act entitled as if I'm not there just to pick up the drugs they're pushing. Not to be confused with Flooryellows, which is when you pee yourself and it goes on the floor. This is a pretty handy Walgreens on Shepherd and Durham, where the two roads intersect, and it gets very busy up here, and it's pretty hard to get out of the parking lot sometimes when traffic is bad, but it's still a great location for a pharmacy, and it's one of the ones that Barbi likes more than she doesn't. Finally found my prescription in stock, had a request sent by my doctor, and was denied my medication because "I'm not a regular patient at this Walgreens location" and she was saving it for her "regular patients". I have never heard of a community pharmacy selecting whom they dispense medication to. The pharmacist on staff today is completely unethical and will be reported to her licensing board. read more

I called in and spoke with a pharmacy tech who refused to give her name. She told me I should deal with DoorDash . I replied that I had placed it through the Walgreens app not DoorDash. She repeatedly mispronounced my name. I ask her for hers and she refused. They said it was delivered but it was not received. So I went to the store and met the pharmacy tech whose name is Kayla. They don't know what has happened to my prescription. Not impressed with this store at all! Pharmacy techs tend to attract only warm bodies and no brains. read more

If I could add ZERO stars I would. I'm here to pick up my order almost an hour after it was supposed to be ready. I'm told the machine is not working and they're behind on printing orders. I received no notifications in advance. When I asked him how long it would be to have my order printed he said it would be impossible to have it done, and that I should come back later. I ask to speak to the manager. A shift lead approaches me and proceeded to print my order. While he was printing he was visibly falling asleep. Neither of the employees showed any demeanor of wanting to help, instead they were sluggish, unbothered, and completely on with LYING to me about the printer not working when in fact it worked just fine. AWFUL first visit to this Walgreens and it will be my last. read more

I told her what I'm looking for she motions for me to give her my phone and says "lemme see" (I'm googling colloidal silver and the Walmart ad is the first thing that pops up) she says "dis ain't us dis Walmart!" like I'm an idiot. I have to share my disappointment. I have been using this location since my move to Houston a year ago. The pharmacy customer service has greatly declined. I have a refill of the same medications monthly, yet over the past 4 months it has taken an additional week to fill one portion due to being out of stock. As of last month it was 2 weeks and in speaking to 4 different pharmacy employees only 1, just 1, gave alternatives to me managing my side affects of being without medication. Come around to this month's refill, which I go to the Dr., the prescription is sent in, and I'm told I am now unable to refill last mo this late refill until the 16th. Not bc of insurance, but bc they have set a new date i can retrieve due of their inability to fill the previous month. So now I get to pick up one medication on the 5th of each month and another on the 16th bc they can't properly stock based off of repeat customers. And when I shared this is very inconvenient and not at all my fault the pharmacy tech just looked back at me with a blank stare. read more

If I could give less stars I absolutely would. This has to be the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. So unhappy my insurance doesn't cover CVS anymore and I'm forced to go to this Walgreens. My medication is never ready on time. For example, my prescription was supposed to be ready a few days ago. Holiday yesterday so I came to get it this morning. It's not ready, they tell me to pick it up in 1.5 hours. I call 2.5 hours later to see if it's ready, they say no come in 45 minutes. I wait until after work 6 hours later and my prescription is still not ready! They tell me wait another 20 minutes. Literally the worst customer service in their pharmacy department. Do not waste your time or they will! Husband and I went to get our TDap vaccines since I'm pregnant. We were never greeted or acknowledged. One tech (who was in the middle of a personal phone call), who unbeknownst to us, had come over to the computer in front of us and didn't mutter a word while she typed. Then, when the pharmacist came over to help us after 10 minutes, the tech apparently got mad at the pharmacist because she had already started "helping" us, even though she was the only one who knew that. She started mumbling under her breath about us. I was tempted to just walk out, but I had already handed the pharmacist my ID and insurance card. Long story short--took over 45 minutes to give us a 30-second shot. Got home, go about my day, and realize my ID is missing. No phone call from Walgreens telling me they have it. Thankfully I remembered that's where I last used it. It was sitting on the computer right in front where anyone could have grabbed it. I once again wasn't greeted for at least a solid 5 minutes (there were 5 people working but they were all standing around). Finally someone walked by and I asked if they could hand me my ID. The only reason I come to this location is because they are the only pharmacy in the area that always has my prescription available. Why do I come back here? Ugh, we're testing my sanity here, and we knowing that's on shaky ground at any given time. Ordered photos for a Christmas gift so I could pick them up the next day after a lunch date. Website said it would be ready by 9:30 am the next day (and hint, this location always has the latest pick-up time. Better choice - Walgreens on West Grey). Alas I come in for my pick up. After lurking the aisles looking for anyone who might help me, I finally found two employees together and asked if I could get some help. One said yeah and then they finished their chat really quickly. Sorry to interrupt. We go over and the pics aren't there. Oh yeah, I'm told, we're on downtime. What's that? We aren't printing right now. Why not? We're on downtime. When will my pics be ready? Don't know when downtime will end, so can't say. Do you want a manager? Sure... Manager comes, I explain the situation, asking her not to say the word 'down time' - which she goes ahead and explains anyway. Look, I get it. You're a business, supply ordering is hard. For some reason, they never send your supplies and you don't want to bug another store again because it's been weeks. I. Don't. Care. Not because I'm mean, but I'm not here to commiserate. Just tell me the straight facts - stuff is down and no one's getting pics here any time soon. Let go of the dream and move on. Here's all I needed - an apology for the inconvenience since the website wasn't adjusted to say they're essentially closed for photo developing service (nor did an email update get sent to say there was a problem, though I also didn't have a successful print one either - not that I usually check that before coming at the agreed time). Sorry for the inconvenience, and here's how we can get your photos. The best I got was the agreement to cancel the order because I wasn't going to pay for these since I needed to reorder them for the holidays. Thanks for nada, Walgreens. You don't have to get the order right, your stuff can be broken, but for goodness sake, customer service is a basic skill. This Walgreens has the best customer service I've ever encountered in any convenience store. Last week I had to take passport pictures of my 2 month old infant. Xavier, a very sweet lady, helped us through the whole process. I took a few pictures at home that I thought could work. She made sure to edit them and print them in the right dimensions for the passport office. The whole thing took us less than 10 mins, and she only charged me for the ones I truly liked. She is definitely a rockstar. The guys at the passport office were surprised the pictures were so good. BTW, I go to this pharmacy often and it isn't as bad as other people say. They are always super busy, so be patient. With the Walgreens app you get notified when your prescriptions are ready or if they are delayed. I've also found that going in is faster than the drive-thru. read more

Usually have an excellent experience here but today has been disappointing. My husband and I had several prescriptions called in to this pharmacy on Monday. I went in Tuesday afternoon to pick them up. It was "too early" to pick up one of my prescriptions. I was told it would be ready Friday. My husband went in this morning around 10:40AM and was told my prescription had to be released by the pharmacist and pharmacist was busy giving flu injections so he would have to come back later. I called to speak to the Pharmacy Manager who, amazingly enough, is out until Monday. I asked if the Pharmacist was available to speak with me. When she got on the line I asked when we might expect my prescription to be ready. I explained that I was there Tuesday and was told Friday. My husband went in Friday and was told to come back. When I mentioned the store hours and basic customer service she yelled at me that she hadn't gotten there until 9 and she had to give flu shots. Maybe she is having a bad day? I'm less than pleased and will be calling the Pharmacy Manager on Monday. Yikes! read more

I am in this store alot it is very close to my house. I always find the staff here to be really excellent and helpful - - young people who really get the whole idea of customer service. Walgreens should look at two from this store for future management positions or promotions because both are "among the best." One is Jessica the cute hispanic girl who works in the cosmetics department frequently and the other is the young cute black girl whose name escapes me. They always remind me why I shop at this store and do not run to a big box store where things could be cheaper. Slogged through the whole clunky photo interface, and finally got the picture all ready for printout, and the machine says come back in 30 minutes. For one picture? Noone was around to help, so we walked out empty-handed and will now take all our photo business to CVS, where the machine prints out the photos immediately. read more

Nice enough staff but they screwed up my photo magnet order twice. The first time they had only printed my pictures and didn't make them magnets. I was told to come back. The second time, they could not find my order. Then after waiting 20 minutes for them to reprint the photos, they couldn't figure out how to make them into magnets. I finally got the complete order when I went back the third time. Just don't use this location for photos. Oh and the woman in line next to me had someone else's Christmas cards in her box! This is the worst Walgreens pharmacy I've been to yet. On arrival, I stood at the counter in clear view of several employees standing around behind the counter talking to each other and avoiding eye contact with me as they walked by. Once I finally flagged someone down who was obviously less than thrilled to be helping me, I politely asked for my prescription. They informed me that my insurance card wouldn't work. I told them my cellphone battery was dead and asked if they could verify with my insurance company. They dismissed me and walked away. After driving home to grab my phone charger and subsequently calling my insurance company, I learned that they had changed group numbers from my original card. Armed with this information, I returned to my "friendly" Walgreens pharmacy to find the same individual at the counter that I had spoken to previously. Only now she wouldn't talk to me and walked away, big gulp in hand, without even acknowledging my presence. I guess it was break time. After waiting almost 10 minutes another employee finally asked for my name and punched in the new insurance information only to tell me that it doesn't match... then walked away. Wait! What doesn't match? Can you please just call my insurance company as you are clearly not willing to communicate with me!? I stood there at the counter making yet another call to my insurance company on speakerphone and with a 3% battery charge so that the employee could finally get the insurance ID numbers punched into his system correctly. I informed him of my new address, which he pretended to accept, only to find that my old address was stIll printed on the receipt when I got home. Overall this pharmacy team was unfriendly, unappreciative of my business and apparently too busy to talk to their customer for any more time than required to take the pills from the big bottle and put into the little bottle. I will likely be going elsewhere for my refills in the future. read more
