This Sunday was one of the worst days of my life. My 13 year old golden doodle had just passed away. I had just left his body at a veterinarian for cremation. In the stressful days leading up to his death I had forgotten to purchase needles for my 14 year old Cairn Terrier's two a day insulin injections. I stopped by this pharmacy with a torn top off the prior box. The pharmacist manager refused to sell the needles without a prescription. In Texas you can purchase insulin and needles OTC. She told me it was her discretion to do this but if I could provide some information about insulin she would sell to me. I am not in the best state of mind, trying not to sob about my dog. Also stressed about my dog at home because he will die without an injection that night. I argued with her but ran out to my car for my phone in the crazy pouring rainstorm. I come back in crying, shaking from anger and freezing, soaking wet. I'm trying to find the email from my pharmacist for the insulin. She then says because of my bad attitude and I was rude she will not sell them to me. I was not nice and was explaining what had just happened to me and asked for some compassion and this lady had zero to give. So I did escalate my anger because she was acting so cold. My dog has had diabetes for 4 years almost to the date and I have ZERO times been treated this way it asked to provide any documentation. I finally found the email from my pharmacist and then another pharmacist, not the manager, looked at my email. He got the $7.98 worth of needles and I went on my way. This is how the manager should have handled the situation but there was something about me she decided to not be helpful, not be compassionate and dig her heels into an obviously fluid policy that does not follow state law. The manager was so uncaring she seemed happy about my situation to cause more grief on this terrible day. When you are the voice of CVS in a stressful environment with sick people or people who are not on their A game it would do wonders to have a tiny bit of heart when you interact with customers. We are not all having a great day when we seek medical help at your store! I thanked the other pharmacist over and over, I wish I had caught his name. I'm quite literally almost in tears from the encounter I have just had in this CVS. I came in just now at 11:15 in urgent need of passport photos; I needed them by 6:00am. After being told that passport photos are only taken from 7am to 11pm I decided to try to take my own using the backdrop they have there. That's when I met Jim. He came out and asked what was going on and after I explained the situation, he offered SO GENEROUSLY to take the photo for me and print it out. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and Jim was honestly a miracle. He even refused a tip. I will be frequenting this CVS to see more of Jim for sure. His level of customer service and care cannot be beat. I come to this pharmacy for the drive through frequently and their staff has always been wonderful as well. read more

11/16/2019 - I arrived at the CVS Minute Clinic at approximately 1:30 pm having flu like symptoms. Upon arriving, I signed in as a walk-in and to note that I was the 3rd person to be seen. I waiting patiently to be seen, I viewed the Nurse Practitioner - Christina Gutierrez return from break/lunch. I also view a married couple (Rodger) come in, sign in to be vaccinated. While awaiting, the Nurse Practitioner informed the gentleman (Rodger) that he would be seen next. I kindly asked the Nurse when would I be seen as I have been waiting for more that two hours. She RUDELY responded by stating "You are in a clinic environment and I will not argue with you" and close the examination room door. While I continued to wait, I kindly asked for the corporate office address for CVS and Minute Clinic from Mary which is the locations Concierge, which she provided me with the same. I continue to wait for another hour and half. Finally being called by Nurse Practitioner - Christina Gutierrez, when I entered into the examination room, I asked her what was her name. When she provided me her name, she stated to me "Before we get off to a bad start I need to tell you that this is a clinic environment". I responded to Christina letting her know that "I'm aware that this is a clinic environment and that is why I'm here because I'm not feeling well, however I do take up issue that I've been waiting for over two hours and when I asked you when I would be seen you rudely told me that you will not argue with me...I didn't come here to be argumentative and I think that you are being argumentative with me, which I don't understand why." From that point Christina, told me that she didn't feel comfortable seeing me, called the Store Manager-Melanie Turn to the examination room. I explained to Mgr. Melanie what I have viewed and how I was being treated. Mgr. Melanie offered to be in the examination room with me and Christina so that I could be examined and the Nurse Practitioner - Christina Gutierrez refused again to examine me. I asked if the other Nurse-Jennifer York, that was present could examine me and once again my service was refused. I'm LIVID...It is apparent to me that I was clearly discriminated against and my service was refused for no just cause. Not once did I raise my voice, curse, point my finger to talk down to anyone in this establishment. What I did do is wait patiently, even when someone was seen before me, and I did make this store aware that I would be sending a letter to there upper management for what I experienced. I have shopped at CVS for many many years along with my family members, but we will be doing things differently going forward. If my health is not important to you then my money isn't either. Reading these reviews after the fact...The CVS location at 9101 HWY 6 Houston Texas needs extensive training in Customer Service and Diversity Training. read more

This place is short of staffs and all I wanted to buy was a couple of items.... stood in forever and had to put it back and just leave! Should of went to Walgreens! Update: they have changed since the last time, the employees are so nice and they are very patient when I ask questions and also assist me with when I need help. If I could give zero star I would. First of all the female pharmacy tech is so unprofessional, I needed an RX that apparently was too new and she didn't have nor any other place. So I asked if they new of any pharmacy that could possibly carry it and she just said "Nobody's gonna have it it's too new!" I said ok and walked out, went to Walgreens and guess what Walgreens did, they searched the other locations that have the RX and gave me the addresses. I transition to a new insurance company this year unfortunately there where some hiccups with the new insurance. Once it was sorted out I called CVS to give them the new insurance info and the pharmacist Mr. Quoc the pharmacist refused to take my info over the phone and said I had WASTED his time on Monday whEN He tried to verify the insurance and didn't go trough he was rude and had zero intentions on helping me out. He was quick to dismiss me. I see why this pharmacy has poor reviews. Store manager was apologetic but not sure if anything will get done about it. Go some where else. They are always too busy and take forever to refill the prescriptions. read more

Customer service is awful at the pharmacy. The so called pharmacist doesn't have any customer service skills and he is unable to solve issues other than the normal, routine stuff. Uncapable to understand he is in a field where he is dealing with people with health issues making things harder for customers. I wasn't able to get my transplant meds beacause he has no clue on what to do with meds that are sent from the mailing pharmacy so instead of trying to understand and THINK for a solution on how to help the customer he shuts down with ignorance and careless attitude. Trash location. We went for the minute clinic because it was the closest in our location. Created an appointment, it said 30 minutes, we waited for 2 hours and nobody showed up. Asked the pharmacist and they said a time, we wait again, the time passed and still no one to help. How is it minute clinic if we had to wait 2 hours with no service. If I could give this location a 0 I would. I would rather have a a homeless person check me out and fix my sickness than these clowns.... read more

I would have gave it 5 stars if the same people were there I usually go there in the morning for a pack of smokes in a Gatorade they used to see me in know what I was getting in have my pack up there in talk to me for about 3-5 mins . Now I go there they are cleaning are what not in I have to stand at the register for sometimes 5 mins before they even notice me . The prices here are kinda crazy high. I do love the ice cream sale though blue bell 3 for 5 on the pints size that's an amazing deal to me at least I still come here often since its so close to me but I really miss the old employees . read more

This pharmacy sucks....prescription was called in at 4:30pm. I called to verify and they told be at 5pm the prescription would be ready by 6:15pm....I go to pick up script an hour later at 7:15 and they tell me its not ready snd to come back in 30minutes. Awful. Customer service is terrible! Went in to grab a quick gift card for a baby shower and was asking a question about paying for it half and half on 2 separate cards. Older woman cashier started losing her patience with me and treating me poorly like a criminal because I was asking a question. I understand security, but compromising your customer service for it won't do well for anyone. Im mid 20s, purchasing a baby shower hallmark card and gift card to accompany it... Highly unlikely I resemble the criminal standing behind me. Won't be back if the elderly cashier is working to treat me poorly. read more

Came here one time with a gift card given to me by a family member. Tried to make a purchase and the gift card was only able to pay $9 of our total. The cashier then said she didn't know how to make it work and brushed us off. The gift card had $50 dollars btw. We come two days later and they said we had a zero balance on the gift card. Very frustrating that the cashiers did absolutely nothing to help us out. Told us to call the number and said bye. We call the number and said our balance is $40. Doesn't make sense... The photo department has terrible customer service. I called to make sure that their passport "machine" was working. since, last time I was waiting for quite some time to have my passport photo taken and it turns out that the "machine was inoperable" so, this time I called before waisting anytime. The clerk at the photo department answered by saying "Hello!" wow, really professional! Puts me on hold because his with a customer, "okay, no problem." However, I got tired of waiting so I called back and get the same clerk, "Hello!" at this point I'm a little annoyed so I got straight to the point and inquire if they're able to print out passport photos. a standard question of someone that works in the photo department. Since, he didn't have an answer for me I was placed on hold for 5min. At this point I rather go somewhere else and have someone with a little more comprehension take my photo, and my business. read more

This Pharmacy sucks. My wife went there to get some OTC meds. for our preteen daughter. She wanted to talk to the pharmacist at the consultation window. When he (Roshan)saw her he asked her to tell him the problem while he was 10 ft away doing something else and wanted her to yell out the problem, which was not an acceptable form of communication given the sensitive nature of the problem. Rude. Sparing the details, he suggested a med that was not appropriate for the condition and caused my daughter great pain. When my wife returned to the store to tell him the result of his recommendation he was rude again and said he gave her what she wanted. He acted like he couldn't care less about the pain he caused. Maybe its a cultural thing. Or maybe he is just an incompetent A-hole. I don't know where this guy went to school but the pharmacy guys I know in college were much better than this guy, and they were still in school! May be a good place to get drinks and smokes but I would not trust them with anything from the pharmacy. Stay away! read more

Awful! I would give zero stars if I could. My ob/gyn called in an emergency prescription for me and they said it would take two hours to fill. I called to see if there was anyway to fill it quicker as I was in so much pain. I had to transfer to another CVS because they couldn't make a judgement call.
