A large CVS with a very cramped parking lot which i always avoid. The interior features no employees in the floor, and shelves that are either empty or stocked with merchandise that is in total disarray. And half the merchandise is behind lock and key, which makes it almost impossible to purchase. And shoplifting cannot be the reason for the accessible shelves, as the shelves that are locked up are empty-and messy-as well. Very poorly managed. read more

I've been shopping at the CVS on and off for at least 20 years I don't know. Yes it was some thing else before CVS. Maybe it was a Walgreens but the staff are very nice and have always been. I had a lot of photos developed here and Mari used to always help me. nice selection of different items and the place is clean, the management is good. the pharmacy I think takes too long to get prescriptions and it's better to go to a mom and pop place for some thing like that but to buy regular items aside from that I think this is a great store the CVS at the Howard beach location on Crossbay Boulevard.. read more

CVS MINUTE CLINIC: I've visited this medical clinic several times since it opened and every experience has been professional and kind. The nurse practitioners working here are always friendly, thorough and compassionate. The check in system and appointment computer at the front of the office makes it easy to do a walk in and know exactly how long your wait time will be. I was seen within 10 min of my appointment time which is amazing at the peak of cold/flu/covid season. With the pharmacy right there it makes it even easier to pop over for your prescription. read more

You might as well have AI robots. No humanity was shown to me. I walked into the #2120 store at 9:15 am 1/25/2026 to get vitamins and groceries. But I needed to use the restroom first after a long trip from work. I asked a young person, who opened a vitamins case for me, to open a restroom. She told me, "Not now". What does that mean? When then? There were two, not just one, UNISEX bathroom. What is CVS's criteria to be allowed to use it's restrooms? What is the selection process? I left the store without asking her anything else and used a restroom at the nearby Starbucks. With no problems. I bought something from Starbucks afterwards. BUT NOT AT YOUR STORE obviously. Your employee that made the judgement call on me wore old faded pink sweat pants I recall. So she even dressed unprofessionally. If that's the store manager, your administration should rethink that hire. That was a very poor impression on me from my neighborhood CVS. I feel like notifying Senator Addababo about the possibility of discrimination going on in this case. Note that neither restrooms had an out of service sign on them so don't even try to go that route. Just recognize that they're hundreds of pharmacies in Queens. Not just CVS. read more

The Howard Beach CVS gets worse every year. If you like spending hours standing on line, and standing on different lines, and making multiple visits to pick up a single prescription, THIS is the drugstore for you ! They have a ton of personnel behind the counter - don't be fooled - their lines are long. And you might end up standing on various lines 2, 3 or 4 times. You get a message saying your prescription is ready, you'll get to the front of the long cashier line, then you'll be sent to the consult line, then back to the cashier line, and after another long wait at the cashier line, you'll be told.....your drug still has to be ordered. This CVS doesn't answer the phone or voicemails. They don't fix problems of their own making. They like to tell you to call your insurance company. And one of the guys at the consult line is passive aggressively slow. Don't know his name - they don't wear name tags. He stares blankly at customers to get them to leave and isn't above lying if he thinks it will make a customer go away. He has strange opinions about commonly prescribed drugs and tells customers they're taking the wrong one even though he's not a pharmacist. Weird dude. They have a lot of turnover but the weird dude has been there for years. read more

This store is unbelievably frustrating. It used to be an excellent CVS location. Now it's very understaffed. The check-out machines are the worst, constantly returning errors for the slightest of things. And then it locks up FOR EVERY LITTLE THING and says help is on the way. Meanwhile you're standing there forever with a line behind you waiting for this help to come to fix it. The most annoying thing is that often items have the wrong prices on the shelves, and you don't discover this until you're checking out. So you're either stuck buying the item, leaving without a thing you need, or making the line of people behind you wait as you go back to the aisle to put it back and find something cheaper. Recently I Brought to check-out what I thought was a $5 bottle of shampoo. Guess what, it was like $11. So I just left it there. This happens all the time.. The people there are nice and obviously work hard. But they need to hire more workers, especially if the machines (they installed these new ones like a year ago) are always causing problems. And don't get me started on the pharmacy,. Again the people are nice. But don't be surprised if you end up waiting on line 15-20 minutes, sometimes longer. And don't bother calling them, they never pick up. read more

Pharmacy never answers their telephone, no matter how many times or how long it rings.

So, CVS for some unknown reason doesn't call or text me to let me know if my prescriptions are ready anymore. So, I tried calling them... on hold at the Pharmacy for 15 minutes, then again on hold for 5, with nobody answering. I call back and speak to Gianna, the manager, who says she will walk to the back of the store and tell the pharmacy to pick up the transferred call. I am on hold for ANOTHER 20 MINUTES. I call back AGAIN. NOW, I am on hold for another 17 minutes and counting. Does anybody actually work in the pharmacy? FIFTY SEVEN MINUTES SO FAR, AND NOBODY CAN PICK UP A FUCKING PHONE? Like, seriously, my toddler knows how to answer the phone. She is neither an adult nor a supposedly professional pharmacist or employee... If anyone actually ever picks up, I'll say they earned the one star. Right now, they deserve zero stars. read more

The workers smoke most of their shift outside in the back. Truly just a run down version of a cvs. Lines are poorly handled during busy hours, the young kid workers take more initiative then the seasoned managers. Haylie, the staff manager, is unbearably harsh and slow. I strongly advise her to start injecting Ozempic for weight loss because this is a very crowded store, and I cannot stand waiting hours for an enormous oompa loompa. She's highly disrespectful and has little empathy for humanity. I was greeted with rudeness, irritability, eye rolling, grumbling, loudness, curses, and so on.A coworker of hers stated that she experienced BPD. She was having a good time with her coworker (Zoe), and despite the fact that there was a long line at the cash register, she disregarded her colleagues when they requested assistance since she was conversing on her personal cell phone. I could hear her voice from the moment I entered the store. She was incoherent, made no effort to interact, and did not appear to have taken a shower in a week. When I asked about rewards, she declined to help or answer any further inquiries. She possessed an unpleasant character. I go there frequently, and this is the second time I've received disgusting service. This position of leadership might demand an extensive evaluation. I recommend that some of these rookie employees undergo practical customer service guidance. Make them understand that body language and looks are essential. read more

This is a very good CVS location and it is pretty much walking distance to my house 15 to 20 minute walk. I always try to look in the newspaper to then come here for one of the good deals that are being offered. Come to think of it, I have not visited here in almost two months. I think it is time for another visit here very soon. The staff is very friendly. Open 24 hours so that is always a plus. I can walk over there now if I really needed to and it is almost 1 Am as I am writing this. I pretty much just get snacks here like gum, cookies or Twizzlers candy and Hershey Bars if they are on sale. MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better service at the pharmacy desk than last time. I was even advised of a prescription that was not covered by my insurance and given the price instead of surprised at checkout. The wait for the prescriptions was only about 15 minutes. Everyone around the store was very attentive and helpful. Good experience overall. The one missing star is for the automatic doors that didn't work when I was leaving. No one helped with that. I had to squeeze out with my bags and my coat got dirty. read more

This is the most ghetto trash CVS I have ever been to. I walked in, and realized the body lotion was locked in a case. Pressed the button to get someone to open it. Stood there 10 minutes, no one came. I walked over to the counter to ask for help and was ignored--I mean this woman didn't even look up--when I asked for help. I approached another employee, who was apparently new & extremely nice. She stated she didn't have the key to the case either. So this is still my go to CVS. I live closeby so I am a little biased but this one is my favorite one out of 3 or 4 I can go to. I use the Pharmacy consistantly now and they are polite and informative. They have an auto refill option there for prescriptions where they call you or leave a message when it's ready and you can pick it up at your leisure after that. Very convienant. The parking situation is the same but at off hours it's fine. The store is very big and lots of ailses. I don't like using the self check out options but when I do use it there is always an employee to help in case something goes wrong. 24 Hours too. read more

The pharmacy is always packed, my prescriptions aren't filled. U sign up for services that aren't supposed to leave you without your meds they screw that up. I call for a refill they say come down and when I get there it's not filled and then they wanted me to see there little medical office and pay to get a prescription and the wait is an hr. Worst pharmacy ever.... prescriptions are never ready there are always numerous issues...it is never received or never filled properly. I am a health care provider myself and this pharmacy is the absolute worst. Do not get your medications filled here. I only do it because it is close to home and below my gym and used to be 24 hrs however now it takes me multiple trips just to pick up one medication whyyyyyy!!!!! Get your act together. Had to write an update - as many things have changed in the last few years here. First - there is still no parking here because of the gym. Just walk here instead - walking is good for you! :) Second - gone are the days of their HUGE awesome card selection. It has dwindled down to almost nothing. I never buy cards here anymore - not much of a selection.... :( So why the 4 stars - they carry much more of the snack products that I would buy. A lot of vegan items. World Peas - yes peas - I mean please! Cocomel Caramels - Delish! Jason's PB cups - they have them here! Plus soooo much more. PLUS - the BIGGEST news - the CVS branded gummy bears - VEGAN!!!! And really good. Gave them to some friends who swore they were like the rest of the gummy bears and must contain cow. They do not (regular gummy bears have cow in them - so do marshmallows.) Plus - although Rite Aid usually beats them hands down in regards to Holiday selection and Seasonal Decor - sometimes you can find some interesting things here. AND this is where I bought my socks - normal looking navy socks with a white pattern - until you notice on closer inspection - they are unicorns! Quirky - and like 2 bucks on sale! Staff here have always been nice to me too. I like their reboot. Keep up the positive changes. All they have to do now is get rid of the gym and business would boom for them. read more

There are 3 CVS locations that I frequent in my neighborhood, and this location WAS my favorite CVS location. They're open 24 hours with the longest opening pharmacy hours, and has a big product selection. Now, I take my business elsewhere at the other CVS locations nearby, and I haven't been to this location in months. I do not plan on going there unless the sky opens up and swallows all the other CVS locations within a 10 mile radius. The other locations may not be open 24 hours, but the lack of stress and aggravation makes it more than worth it. The troubles started about 2 years ago when this CVS location got a new manager, who acts like he's god's gift to CVS. When he's on duty, he's usually at the checkout eying every single customer to make sure his store gets the maximum possible customer payout. He scrutinizes customers like a criminal while saying, "it may not be a lot of money to you, but a little here and a little there means CVS loses millions every year due to customers taking advantage of our coupon policy." Can someone please get this guy to understand that CVS is a multibillion dollar corporation that mainly makes its profits from pharmaceuticals, and not from the various beauty and food products that it sells? I seriously doubt it cares whether the customer uses a 50 cent coupon for a Maybelline mascara, or whatever it may be. When I'm spending my hard earned cash at an establishment, I refuse to be treated like I'm doing something wrong when I'm not. I currently go to the other nearby locations, which I absolutely love and love and love! The staff there is great, and I get treated with the respect every customer deserves. read more

My favorite of the CVS locations around the area. Always neat and clean and have things in stock. 24-hrs store & pharmacy Friendly staff especially in the Pharmacy. Its a little long wait for Rx, but I've worked in that field and they probably fill a couple hundred in the busy day hours so I know how that goes I like the food/drink section The hallmark section is always neat They have a Dr Scholls machine The self-checkout is open more than the registers, but theres always someone there if you need help There's a gym right upstairs so you sometimes feel like the ceilings gonna cave in. The parking sucks. Its best to go late at night if you can. They send text when your Rx is ready. read more

After 2 weeks of run around, I was unable to get my epilepsy medication. First I was told I would have to contact the physician because they didn't cary the milligram of my script.. fine no issue. Once I had her change it I waited 5 days and stopped in to see what was going on. They stayed "we don't carry this medication". I asked if they could order it from another CVS - the answer was no, try going to a local pharmacy. After being out of my medication for 5 days they then wanted me to call the doctor and have it switched again? So unhelpful! Will not be returning here. read more

I would give them a zero but the Yelp* app won't let me. The pharmacy staff at this location is incompetent and poorly educated. They have lost, misplaced, misinformed me and misguided my doctor regarding prescriptions and policies on at least 3 occasions that I can recall in the past year. They also misplaced and ultimately lost a refund they owed me. It may not be all of the pharmacy team but it is more than one, as my experience has been with several staff members, including one of the managers. Not to mention the parking is a nightmare as well, because their lot is shared with Gold's Gym. I will no longer be using this pharmacy. I will bring my prescriptions to one of the many other pharmacies in the neighborhood. They finally took care of the constant flooding/puddles which resulted in a horrific smell, now they need to educate or replace their pharmacy team. read more

I had a very scary experience from my local cvs today The people who work in this cvs took a blind eye to another employee disrespecting a woman. The Man / guard at the door started cursing at me even using the F word for asking him if I could stand in the first set of doors so I could block the wind while I waited for someone. I was so in shock when he said this to me. Who speaks to people this way? There is never a reason to use such language. and to make matters worse the employee who heard what he said to me didn't say or do anything. The girl who was in charge of the self checkout heard everything he said to me and refused to say or do anything. I was completely shocked this happened. I came inside the store because at that point I felt unsafe and scared of his outburst to tell the employee what happened and he came inside and proceeded to curse at me with all the customers to see and hear. People were shaking there heads in disbelief I just stood there in shocked that an employee of CVS Would speak to someone like that for asking a question. When I asked the self checkout girl If they allow the employees to speak to people this way she chose to look away and not answer and walked away. I guess she didn't even know what to do But the fact she heard the whole thing and still didn't do anything to call for help was shocking to me. I asked her if she could get a manager and she ignored me. You can tell he wasn't quite right. I had to asked someone else who the manager was, they told me who was in charge while the store manager was not available, they told me to speak to Kristin the woman with the red hair, I told her what had happened and it was as if she wasn't fazed about this at all. Never apologized on behalf of him or felt any kind of sympathy for how I was spoken too. I was so shaken up. she was actually more concerned with what she needed to do than how upset I was. She said there isn't anything I can do right now and just blew off what had just happened. This whole experience was so frightening I felt unsafe leaving the store not knowing if I was going to get verbally attacked again for no reason. I'm not one to complain or even write a review but I didn't know what to do. I'm so surprised they would have someone so unstable representing this store at the front door. This cvs is larger than your average cvs's. Has a huge selection of different stuff. The parking however is crazy. Hardly ever any spaces available in the midsized lot. I called in to see if they had sd cards for my digital camera. The girl Monique on the phone was definatly helpfull and friendly and even gave me the prices and sizes of the different cards. I walked in after finding one tiny parking spot and found the camera section. The cards were behind a case so nobody was around to open it for me. I walked around the whole store and couldnt find not a single person around. eventually 5 mins later a lady appeared and helped me out. Definatlly needs more staff. Not recomended if u need to stop in and out real fast for something. read more
