I remember in the late 1990s through early 2000s era, Duane Reade was located within three blocks intervals iteration for a heavy prominent presence. I needed a specific box brand of facial tissues with lotion which this pharmacy actually have and was on sale with a promotion "buy 1 get 1 equal/less for 50% off." Retail items appears somewhat in stock, but I really wanted the large rectangular box rather than the small square box of facial tissues. Customer service is non-existent. The staff appears disgruntled working robotically of their Sisyphean task.

Can't figure out how to get access to the building. They then proceed to call me up and speak in a different language which I don't understand since I believe we live in America. They finally get into the building and don't follow the signage to go to the left rather than go to the right. What's more, once they figure out they went the wrong way even though I tell them in English to go left, they make it up to my floor eventually and then can't find my apartment. On many of occasion, the pharmacy itself makes mistakes, and the delivery person, who could care less has no authority to rectify the issue. Nor will they call the pharmacy to rectify and absolve themselves of responsibility. There are plenty of other small pharmacies in woodhaven that I have to choose from. I was using Healthmax because they supposedly have a good reputation. However, I do not believe that to be true. If they don't make an effort to improve their service, they will easily loose out to their competitors. I really do hope store management reads this review and implements changes to improve the experience for its customers.

This location sits on Cross Bay Boulevard, a major boulevard in Queens and very accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses Q52 SBS, Q53 SBS, Q22, Q35 and how I miss the now discontinued Q21 bus. I bought my fifth sunglasses as all others broke. Every summer my sunglasses break as I throw them in my bag when indoors, but I need eye protection from summer's blazing sun.
