This location is usually pretty well-stocked. Unfortunately, it seems like everybody got a Headstart on all the medicine for adults and children. It's been very hard to find everywhere though. I have spent quite a few time at the pharmacy where they are incredibly helpful, and I have seen much improvement compared to a few months ago where they would close unexpectedly without notice due to short staffing. I'm happy to see a full staff and proper hours. I will say the biggest con about this location is trying to get a hold of anyone on the phone. It's really hit or miss and sometimes you get hung up on. Depending on what time you go, there are gaggles of high-schoolers hanging around inside and outside. Obviously, considering the high school is right across the str. But just in case groups of children are not your thing I say steer clear of shopping during early after school hours lol read more

Poor customer service! I came here to get a passport picture for my 18 mo. Waited a bit while the only employee in the front was helping other customers which is no problem. Once we started the pictures weren't coming out good because they need to face forward , no smile , no blinking , mouth closed. We did two rounds and no pictures were approved by their system so I obviously wanted to try again. After waiting a bit more to try again since the front got busy another employee clocked in and took over but she looked at the before pictures and said maam none passed so I replied let's try again but she rolled her eyes and once I got my kid seated he didn't want to cooperate so we left. I had to visit two other CVS in this area and NONE worked out. Turns out employees are poorly trained and very much understaffed so when it comes to needing a picture pick up or photo shoot help you'll most likely wait 30 min and will be received with attitude and I completely understand being annoyed after dealing with a rush of customers but it's not fair to drive all around town to hopefully run into an employee with good experience and communication. WALGREENS WILL GLADLY TAKE YOUR PICTURES FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! read more

Through a combination of negligence, ignorance, and just downright laziness, this CVS location prevented me from picking up medication 3 days in a row. On day 1 they tried to charge me $50 for something that was only $3. On day 2 they said it would be an hour wait (to simply turn around and pick up a bag that has my name on it) and that would be after closing time, so they told me to come back another day. Then on day 3, they closed for lunch (which there was no sign for) 15 minutes early. We will try again later today and see if they come up with another creative reason to avoid doing their job. read more

I've never had a bad experience with the pharmacy here, but I would definitely AVOID THIS STORE WEEKDAYS BETWEEN 3PM AND 5PM as it is basically an overflow lot for the high school next door! Kids are loitering in the parking lot everywhere and the lot is full of cars waiting, stopping and picking up kids. I've experienced things like kids stepping off the curb in front of my car, cars driving on the wrong side to pick up kids, cars driving the wrong way in the pharmacy drive-thru, etc. I'm not sure how this is not a liability for the store, but I would definitely stay away during this time to decrease your chances of hitting a pedestrian or being involved in an accident! read more

I get that your job might be hard with having to provide consultations, but you should never speak down on a customer. I have mastitis and my doctor called in a prescription to this pharmacy. I received a voicemail from the pharmacy saying it was on "special order". When I called to clarify, I was told they didn't have it in stock. I asked if they could check any other locations because I had a bad infection requiring this medication ASAP, and was told to "call around". I ended up calling another location and they apologized for this location not doing their job and calling form me to confirm which pharmacy had the medication in stock. read more

finally after a year I've decided to take my business down the street. I get 16 meds filled here but not anymore. They're constantly out of my insulin and syringes. The gave my wife so much trouble filling a cough medicine that my Dr. ordered ( I had Covid-19 Omnicron) they kept saying they ordered it and day after day it didn't come in. I came in to get my package that was delivered there by UPS and when I got there I told the worker my name and she looked at only 3 packages while there was 50 other packages that I was looking at and told me it wasn't there. I would've liked for her to look through all of them but I decided to trust her since she said sometimes the UPS app is wrong and I should come back later. I get a call from UPS that my package was delivered and that the app is pretty accurate since they scan it and everything. I decided to call CVS before heading over there and the same girl answered. She put me on hold and said she would look for my package, once she got done putting me in hold she said my package wasn't there EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT GIVE HER MY NAME FOR HER TO LOOK UP. I never write any reviews ever but she really made me annoyed on how LAZY she was she didn't even care to look for my package when it was v important. read more

Ask if this pharmacy has your credit card information on file. Male staff member was so rude. It was brought to my attention my debit card was on file and when I requested it be removed staff member told me "We have to verify your zip code to add it so you knew". Before I could respond to this comment...staff member said "call 1800 CVS" and walked away laughing saying something to the Community Pharmacist who walked over to the drive thru to address my concern. I've had nothing but problems using the pharmacy over the past couple of years and today was the last straw. It's always a battle with the pharmacist to get my prescription and trust me when I say the head pharmacist is extremly difficult to work with if you have a regular monthly prescription. This will be my last review of CVS Pharmacy in Hutto. I'm tired of waiting in line, CVS won't hire the people necessary to give good service and changed their hours to CLOSING after lunch. This is the worst CVS pharmacy I've ever used. It takes at least 20 minutes to pick up a prescription and that's after waiting in line for 30-40 minutes. Today my doc called in a RX at 10am and at 3:30pm the pharmacy staff said they didn't fill it because it wasn't covered under my insurance plan and they didn't know if I wanted to pay cash for it. I asked how much it cost and she told me $25. Now I have to wait another hour and a half before they can fill it and come back to this long line. Absolutely ridiculous!! read more

I go here about once a month. It's always clean and well organized. All the staff are very friendly. CVS coupons can be confusing and they will help me with using them, which I really appreciate! This last visit I mentioned that it was very quiet. The cashier let me know that being right by the high school, they are definitely busier around school hours. Good to know!! read more

After a BAD experience with the CVS in Round Rock, I have to say the service and pricing at this CVS was excellent. The pharmacist was very pleasant and helped make sure I got the lower priced refills. Will never go to the one in Round Rock again! I live in the neighborhood and come here often and not just because it's convenient. The employees are nice and helpful and the pharmacist there always help with whatever we need. Sure its not a big store so the prices are a little higher but the location seems to do pretty good. read more

I called today to transfer my prescriptions to this CVS pharmacy because Walgreens no longer accepts my insurance. The lady who answered was all set to help me with this but then she asks me if I have Walgreens phone number. I tell her I do not have it but I give her the address and she says I will have to look up the phone number and call them back. I was floored. Ok so I'm calling you to GIVE you my business and you can't do me a solid? She says they don't have the phone numbers to other pharmacies. I told her that was ridiculous. I used to work as a pharmacy tech at a large chain and we would communicate with other pharmacies on a daily basis and we had a book with their contact information. You lost my business read more

Was only going to spend about $10 but ended up spending more thanks to the lovely CVS employee Jenn who was very helpful in directing me towards candy selections. I am writing to express my sincere displeasure with CVS Pharmacy, 301 fm 685 Hutto Tx, 78634. I asked them to refill a prescription for my son, they said they could not because they needed approval from the Doctor first. Fine, no problem. They faxed the Dr for approval on Friday. I called to check on the status of the prescription at the end of the days Wednesday, and still it was not filled. Angie stated that I should have followed up with the Dr on this request. I asked her wasn't this the pharmacy's responsibility? She said they faxed them everyday Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I told her I would call the Dr office tomorrow and ask about these faxes. She then said there computers were down Monday and Tuesday!! Why wouldn't the pharmacy reach out knowing this! Obviously they did not make these faxes Angie claimed. My son needs this medication, CVS pharmacy could care less. Needless to say I'll be taking my business to Walgreens. read more
