I recently visited this CVS, which is supposed to be in a nice, safe area and is directly across the street from North Central high school. When I walked in, there were two older homeless men sitting right in the front area of the store who reeked of alcohol. I politely mentioned my concern to the cashier (an Indian man working at the counter), explaining that it felt unsafe--especially considering the number of high school students who walk over here every day after school. His response? He simply looked at me and turned his head, saying nothing. I want to be clear--I am not someone who thinks homeless people are inherently bad or that they should be "removed" from public spaces. I understand many are struggling with mental illness and need compassion. But there is a difference between compassion and ignoring a safety issue. When you're across from a school, there should be standards to ensure children are protected. CVS management should take this seriously. The front entrance of the store should be safe and welcoming for all customers, especially for minors who frequent the store daily. Ignoring concerns isn't good customer service, and it certainly doesn't prioritize community safety. read more

I am infuriated with this CVS Pharmacy. In the past, the staff has been professional and kind, but today, there was a staff member, a young woman with shoulder length dark brown hair, that exemplifies horrible customer service. I regularly shop at this CVS Pharmacy, so I have noticed different staff members every time I go in to pick up a prescription, so that should have told me something right away. I went to check out and noticed she went behind the counter to check out the person in front of me. The person only had two items to check out, whereas I had quite a few items. The young woman told me to use the self checkout lane and I just waited in line for her to finish the person in front of me so I could check out. She gave me a very nasty dirty look and rubbed me the wrong way to insinuate that she was not going to check me out at the counter and I had to use the self checkout. I gave her a dirty look back because I didn't appreciate it, and I just went ahead to the self checkout lane to check out. What kind of professionalism allows this in a workplace? CVS Pharmacy has gone downhill with their customer service lately and it is very sad. The only reason I gave this review three stars is I am very happy with the pharmacy staff and their professionalism and it is conveniently located down the street from me soI can pick up my prescriptions. They have been very kind and good to me and answer my questions. As far as the regular staff for the convenient store, it is very sad and disgraceful on the professionalism and customer service. They clearly don't want to be there and take it out on the customer which is not good at all. I am questioning whether I should shop here again, but I am happy with the pharmacy and the pharmacist and staff, so that is a plus for me. Be very weary of shopping at this CVS! Came in for a passport photo today and when I told the worker what I needed she said okay, rolled her eyes, and turned away. They were unwilling to take me and my son's picture because 'they don't do babies'. Suggest training employees better so they are able to serve their customers. read more

The pharmacy workers are rude and unprofessional. They hardly answer the phone, but when they do, they're likely to just hang up on you. This seems to be a system-wide issue as I've also gotten shoddy service at other locations. I've grown to hate CVS. Sadly, they're a monopoly, which is probably part of the problem. read more

My doctor sent a prescription to this location and they refused to fill it because I had formerly filled at Kroger . I'm crippled and Kroger doesn't have a drive through. The pharmacist became very hostile said she deleted my prescription from their system. She thinks she knows better than my doctor what I need . Arrogant and aggressive. STAY AWAY read more

Horrible pharmacy with awful customer service. I had an appointment for a vaccine and was refused service. She was very rude and not helpful. I said I would wait and she continued to help new customers that arrived after me instead of honoring my appointment. The lady was rude and it seemed it was too much work for her to give me a vaccine. She even said, "I would have to type in so much information." Give me a break. It should not be this hard to get a vaccine. She told me another CVS didn't require appointments and that I could walk in. I left to try that, but was also refused service there, because I didn't have an appointment. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Hours of operation were shortened some time ago yet website boasts better, longer hours. It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to a pharmacist by phone. Instead, callers are put on hold until the system times out and the call is disconnected. On site the pharmacists are very helpful but getting to them is the challenge. Very frustrating. Today, I drove over to ask the question I couldn't ask by phone and it looks like there's only one pharmacist on duty. Is there a pharmacist shortage? read more

Do yourself a favor and save yourself tons of time/money, by going literally anywhere except CVS (especially if this is the location you were considering). All of my family members' prescriptions are drastically less $$ at other pharmacies with people that are easier to work with too. read more

The store itself is OK. The problem is the pharmacy. I'd been trying to fill a prescription at multiple stores, all of which were out of the drug I need. I was told this CVS location has the drug in stock. However when I call, I am put on hold......forever. Finally there is a message saying I'm being disconnected from the hold line. If you don't have people to answer the phone, DON'T put ppl on hold! I have better ways to waste 25 minutes! This has happened at least twice recently. read more

Short and sweet...my experience with this CVS location...which is closest to my home...has been far less than stellar. 2 out of the last 3 times I've been there for a refill (or called in a refill), I've been told "Our system is down, your meds won't be available for at least 24 hours". One time, I can PERHAPS understand, although, I would think they would have some kind of back up in place. But 2 out of 3? Unacceptable. read more

This pharmacy is run terribly! I waited an hour and 20 minutes on hold with them (I never spoke to a human being) and in the mean time I drove over there to complain to the pharmacy manager. He blew me off saying they can't answer the phones period. Why can't they say that they're not taking calls on their voice mail instead of leaving poor suckers like me to have hope that any minute they're going to pick up the phone. I usually use the CVS in Broadripple, but I'm in of a time crunch, and this one us closest to my work. The pharmacy was really helpful in getting my prescriptions transferred over and even helping me fill a prescription that will run out while I'm out of town in a couple days. I called ahead about the transfer and advance fill and dropped the new one off during my lunch break, then I came back after work to pick them up. Everything was ready, although the pharmacist was very overwhelmed with orders, lacking customer service to everyone he talked to, including business acumen to his pharm tech, and hearing him on overdrive in the aisles might make shoppers a bit uncomfortable. One woman waiting for her prescription even asked if there was a problem with her prescription, to which he replied "no, we are calling the provider about someone else," but if he hadn't been shouting about it, the situation wouldn't have made anyone hear or question. The pharmacists here have always been really helpful. They have helped me work through issues and drug interactions. When my doctor decided I needed to do tests for hypoglycemia and use the needle sticker and testing strips diabetics usually use, the pharmacist sat down and taught me how to use them when I couldn't figure it out. When I had to get my flu shot, the person who did it was really friendly and did it so that it barely hurt at all. Since I am not so good with needles, I appreciated this a lot. One thing is that the front counter (non-pharmacy) seems to be one person short half the time I go there, much like every other CVS I've ever been to. I never had to wait as long when I was a Walgreen's regular, but the helpfulness of the pharmacists and the lower prices make the extra few minutes worth it. read more

In all the years of going to this pharmacy, I have never received the type of outrageous service (actually lack of service) that Bryan has managed to NOT provide today. Without going into detail, suffice it to say instead of resolving the question he had, he did nothing. Nada. Not one damn thing. Curious that after I made one phone call, his question was resolved in less than 5 minutes. Store is close to Peyton Manning St Vincent Hospital. Makes it convenient. However my dr didn't write the pharmacy strength correctly and when they called in 20 minutes later, I was put in back of the line instead if being pushed forward. This is not customer service and my usual CVS would never treat me this way. Here I feel like a number and ironically I've been here before. This doesn't matter to them. I will write corporate about my experience and be switching to mail order just to save hassle on recurring scripts. This is not how to keep Express Script members! read more
