It's a regular chain pharmacy. They've recently renovated the back to include a clinic. I'm all about expanding health care access and decreasing health care costs especially for basic screening and monitoring. I usually can get my meds from the drive thru on walk-in relatively quickly as long as: 1. It's not 4:30-7PM on a weekday 2. It's not mid day Saturday. So go early if you can and if you can't be prepared for the after work rush! read more

COVID TESTING RELATED Second unsuccessful attempt at trying to get tested for Covid at this location. The drive-through system needs to be fixed as pharmacy customers are authorized to utilize the same drive through line as customers with test appointments. Each time, I've waited for an hour past my appointment time before having to leave. If your cut off time is 6:15, it's probably best to stop booking appointments past 4:15 to ensure people aren't turned away. A lot of people are back to work and this whole "system" of testing is flawed at best. If you need to get tested, definitely go to another site. read more

Waited in line for a cashier. There were a few of us just standing waiting for a cashier too show up. I finally asked an employee if there was anyone taking money today. She replied the girl was in the bathroom! Great, no sign up and it would have been so easy to walk out with merchandise. Of course I just through my bottle of water down and left the store. I'll be dammed if I am going to stand in a line waiting for someone to take a bathroom Break! How does a store like CVS have no coverage when someone needs to go to the bathroom! You can't make this stuff up... story time! I dropped a prescription off yesterday (Oct 7, 2018). The lady told me it will be filled tomorrow (Oct 8, 2018: today), and it will be ready at noon (today). I know how time estimates go, so I give them an extra hour. I proceed to drive out of my way to this store to retrieve my medication and am told they couldn't find it... Mind you, I dropped the prescription off at almost 6pm yesterday. It is now after 1pm. They lost my prescription in less than 24 hours!!!! How???? The straw that broke the camel's back was when the lady asked me if I was there for a drop off and that she couldn't find anything. It seemed like she didn't know what else to do and thought I was just going to pull off. No, ma'am. That's when I lost my cool but still managed to keep it professional. I promptly asked her what did she expect me to do since I had given the lady my only paper copy. That's when she asked for my birthday and Doctor/clinic information so she could reach out to them. She told me she'd give me a call back. We'll, see how that goes. At what point does it begin to be "negligence" when pharmacies do such things?? Thank goodness I'm not suffering from a life threatening condition! She apologized, but an apology isn't going to treat my condition! Update: I had driven the 15 minutes home when I posted this review. About 10 minutes after I posted, I received a phone call from CVS stating that they "found" my prescription. I think the clinic actually faxed - or whatever they do- a new one over, but okay. They tell me I may pick it up now. So, I drive back, and still have to wait a few minutes before I get it, but at least I got it, right? read more

Worst cvs I have been into. I called for my refill and was told will be ready by 2 pm. I went to pick up my med at 5 pm and they have no clue. Told me I have nothing in the system for refill. After a few minutes the pharmacy worker saw my refill in the computer. No apologies whatsoever. Then she prepared my refill but prepared the wrong medicine. She had to do it all over again. Really? I feel unsafe with the meds I'm getting from this pharmacy!! This is not the first time they messed up with my meds. read more

This is consistently the worst CVS pharmacy I have ever used. They do not do anything that they say they will- like call your doctors office. They never tell you when your script is ready- even when you say you will wait for it, other pharmacies will call your last name overhead- not here! They don't actually understand how insurance works. I have to teach them at the beginning of the year EVERY year that my medication is expensive because I HAVE A HIGH DEDUCTIBLE PLAN. I also have had to teach them what a PRIOR AUTHORIZATION means.... like how did you get your job? read more

I also don't come here often but this location had what I needed that the one on University Blvd. didn't. It's not the easiest location to get to from Belfort Road but it's doable. The place is clean and organized. The employees greet you as you walk in. Not all locations do this. The only thing I didn't like was the beeping as you walk in the door. I've tried to be understanding about waiting in line for Covid testing but I almost ran out of gas when I was like 4 cars away. I should've gone somewhere else. It took two hours to get helped, many of the other cars left. That's a little ridiculous and other places are taking much less time to do it. I do not recommend coming here for Covid testing. The appointment times should be adjusted more since it takes about 20- 30 minutes for them to take care of one vehicle. Thank goodness I didn't try to go get tested on a lunch break, their appointment times are pointless. Very annoyed and would not recommend. read more

Dirty as hell. Employees don't even bother to acknowledge you, even with all of three people shopping. Bathrooms are filthy, no toilet paper in either stall, and look like they haven't been monitored since their Grand Opening. There is a reason I normally chose Walgreens. I'm giving the pharmacy a 2 because I did receive the correct prescriptions but I was concerned. My scripts were called in at noon. By 2pm I received a text saying they were ordering my meds and to call if I wanted to have them picked up at a different location. Thinking it might be later than my norm working hours I called to transfer to closer to my house. During the call they said no they were filing it and I would be notified when ready. I showed up at 5 thinking that was plenty of time since I did not receive notification that it was ready. Shocker not only was it not ready but I waited behind 3 people with additional concerns and confusion on when they could get their meds called or dropped off earlier than mine. After waiting for 45 minutes and watching confusion and listening to staff concerns of breaks...I received the correct meds. After viewing the dirty conditions in the store and unprofessional pharmacy staff I will send my scripts to the normal cvs near my house instead of my office. read more

I walked into this location and the "nurse" and tech could not have been any more rude.  As "healthcare providers", one would hope for a small amount of empathy for those not feeling well. I guess I shouldn't have assumed this, what more can you expect from a store that should stick to being a pharmacy and not raking in the money for convenience.  Live and learn. read more

I can only speak about the Minute Clinic at this location. My husband suspected he had a sinus infection on a Saturday, so we stopped in. He was able to get himself in line via online, so his wait was minimal. The nurse who treated him was nice, and he was on his way within 20 minutes. Would definitely visit this Minute Clinic again. read more

I 100% give these folks credit for how they handled the Covid vaccination. The first shot, March 18th, was a well organized operation. People cared, the workers were kind! It was a big deal! We all were very grateful! When we returned the second time, it was a royal mess. There was only one person giving the shot, instead of 3, which made the line longer. The reason I am writing this review is because of a CVS employee who could be heard throughout the store. I don't know what was worse...her singing, or the annoying beep the front door made every time it opened. I stood in line for 45 minutes. She carried a conversation with another employee on the other side of the store as she went about her duties. Great job on the dusting! When she yelled....." I don't know about this vaccine! It might make y'all sterile or something!"... my jaw dropped! She continued to laugh with her straggly blonde hair, and I wanted to confront her while she relieved a woman who needed a restroom break at the minute clinic desk. REALLY? Like we are not scared enough but this woman had to add to our anxiety by voicing her revolting opinion out loud. There will be many anti vaxers, but I really would like to see my elderly parents and I felt like this is what I needed to do. I was next in line and didn't get the chance to talk to her, but the more I think about it...what do you say? It's not my place. I'm pretty outspoken, but there are things that you just don't say out loud! I like outgoing people, but she was just obnoxious! This is the rudest pharmacy staff I have ever dealt with in my life! They make nasty comments at you, lose your prescriptions, and when they tell you to pick your RX up at a the given time it's never ready! Maybe if they would stop gossiping amongst themselves and actually do their jobs then people's RX's would get filled! For now I'll be taking my business elsewhere! WAY OVER PRICED! The employees are usually nice even with the company robbing people blind and running the stores on skeleton crews whenever possible. I have heart problems and can only buy certain cold meds which I usually buy Coricidin Cough and Cold which is $5.29 to $5.69 all over Jacksonville. Sadly I was having problems finding stores with it in stock like Target and Publix so I grabbed some at CVS and they were having a sale "buy 1 get one 50% off" but they were selling them for $9.29 a box !!! This should fall under price gouging as I had little choice after going to 3 stores. If everyone started boycotting CVS for their insane prices they would either fix it or go out of business. read more

Working in Jacksonville and got a skin irritation so I figured I'd go to CVS since it's next door to my hotel. I purchased the CVS Calomine lotion. I thought the price seemed high but I needed it and how "expensive" could a bottle of Calomine be ($7.99). The next day I was across the street getting a few items at Publix. So I decided to check the price there. Needless to say I would not waste my time pointing out a few cents price difference but having time to kill waiting at the airport I will point out CVS is $3 more than Publix!!! This CVS is always busy and getting in and out of the store seems to take a while. I previously used this location for prescriptions, but stopped using CVS all together because of the frequency of the robo calls. They call often when it is close to having available refills and when they want to advertise the flu shots or various other health related topics. Even though I asked to be removed from the call list several times, the robo calls continued. I do still like to use CVS for the photo lab. You can order online and pick up in an hour or print at the store directly from your phone or camera. Nice and inexpensive service. You just need to make sure the price you agreed to online with discounts is the same price charged at the store, but often those discounts do not get rung up correctly. However the service is great and usually works well, at other CVS locations. Recently when I ordered through this location early one morning, I received an estimated pick up time around 9:00 a.m. I did not receive the email saying my order was ready but stopped by after work the same day around 4 p.m. and after waiting a while was given some of my photos but charged for all of them. I was glad I checked before I left the area so went back in to find the additional dozen or so photos missing from my order. Apparently the photo machine had run out of paper earlier that morning and they had trouble finding someone who could replace it properly. I waited since I already paid for my missing photos and it took a long time. While the employee said the day shift did not warn them or try to add new paper to the printer and she was nice getting my photos to me, the system is not run very well to keep up with customer orders. read more

This particular CVS locations is usually my GO-TO location but I will come here if I'm not near my parents house. This location is pretty well stocked with their weekly ad stuff but their pharmacy staff is lacking in the nice department. Every time I am looking for a particular medication over the counter, its like they have no clue what I'm talking about. The staff at the checkout registers are nice though which is a big reason why I'm giving them 3 stars versus 1 or 2. read more

My wife went with a cold that wouln't get better, twice, she went the first time and they said to come back if it didn't get better and they would give anti-biotics. When we went the second time they still refused to give anti-biotics with out a chest X Ray confirming it was pluenomia. Waste of time and money. As a former senior certified pharmacy technician with 6 years of service in the retail pharmacy business, it's downright shameful how this pharmacy treats their patients. The things I've experienced make me afraid for what I haven't. 1. The pharmacy manager herself stayed on the phone for five minutes on a personal phone call while three patients (including myself) waited for consultation. "Okay, I've got to get back to work. I'll see you tonight. I love you too. Bye." 2. They argued with me over what my daughter's prescription said. We needed three large tubs of triamscinolone. The pharmacist tried to argue with me that it was written for three large tubes of triamscinolone. When he smirked and said, "Ma'am, it's written for three large tubes." I said, "OK, show me the script." he never showed me the script and never apologized for fighting with me, he simply said that he was out of stock and had to order it and it would be there in three days. 3. They called repetitively to tell me I had prescriptions ready that I requested to be put on hold to be filled at a later date. 4. They violated HIPAA over the phone. When they called me they said, "Is this R.H.? Can I verify your date of birth is 4/30/2014?" When I told her she violated HIPAA she just laughed. I told her I had no desire to have the prescriptions she was calling about and to please put them back. When I got there to fill two other medicines, she still had them ready and tried to sell them to me. I miss going to Walgreen's. read more

Horrible at inventory!!! Today makes the 3rd time I dropped off a prescription to get filled and they did not have the medicine to fill it after telling me they did when I return to pick it up. I come here every month and almost every time there is a problem. And they like to offer you less than your prescription is written for which seems real sketchy. Other CVS stores are way better, to bad the one closest to my house is sub par. Done wasting my time leaving work and driving in the rain for no reason.... You have lost a customer!!! read more

Service could have been better and the pharmacy seems to take longer than necessary to fill prescriptions. I wish there were a way to go to a vending machine and insert an ID and card and just have the proper medication dispensed. It seems like the pharmacy's only job is to increase the cost of medications. read more

this CVS SUCKS. i have been living by this CVS now for 6 months and every time i come to pick up my prescription it is never ready. the pharmacy workers are rude and not nice to speak with. Nessa made me come through the drive thru twice and afterwards made me come inside, then when i went inside told me i needed to wait another 20 minutes to pickup my prescription when i had already been at CVS for over an hour??? The photography shift leader at the front was very helpful and concerned with my issue and turned me over to pharmacy manager who was the most helpful one in there and actually got my prescription ready for me. While being helped by the 3 people in there, the employees in the pharmacy were talking to other customers while in a conversation with me. i have never had a problem with any other CVS in jacksonville but this one has proved their inability to provide good costumer service. i WILL NOT be returning to this CVS every again. read more

Went to the Minute Clinic, signed in and waited the 1.5 hours to be seen. As the Nurse opened the door to call my mom's name, a man jumped in front of us and stated, "I just have one question" and the nurse helped him. She then took him in the office for another 15 minutes before me and the next customer after me decided to leave. This was VERY poor service. We also asked the manager to help out with the issue and she didn't help. She said she can't overrule the nurse. I guess this manager is just a puppet; by the other reviews on how poorly the store is run, she doesn't set any standard on service. Avoid this CVS and the Minute Clinic; this is the worst service I've experienced. There's so many pharmacies and clinics that there is no need to put up with this type of treatment. read more
