The Pharmacist promptly asked for my information, set me up an account over the phone and told me to have my Dr send over the prescription. She was very kind and professional. I had initially told her I had insurance but it did not cover the prescription and when I called back to confirm it was received she wanted to make sure, in fact, that the insurance wouldn't cover it because it was almost $300. I always have issues every month with CVS. I didn't have not one issue with this lady who didn't even have an account with me to fill a prescription that is so important for me to live. After wasting 3 hours at Galveston Walgreens & La Marque CVS declined to even attempt to fill, in a last ditch effort, I visited Walmart La Marque pharmacy at Dr. Wen's urging. First impression: 3 pharmacy techs and 1 pharmacist all efficiently occupied. Pharmacy very clean and well-organized. Además, y es algo muy importante, todos los carteles están en español e inglés. También parece posible que al menos uno de los técnicos pueda traducir si es necesario. 2 people in line and out in less than 3 minutes. Ok, so far, so good. I was greeted warmly and professionally by Melody, the tech. (No "I hate my job & I hate serving customers" vibes here like the previous places). I gave her the script and the attached Dr. 's instructions, she asked me the appropriate questions to build a profile since I'd never visited there before, and voila! In less than 30 minutes I was walking out with an eloquently thorough consultation by RPh Jay Patel, two new prescriptions, the joy & relief of knowing I'm going to feel better soon, and all the pleasantries to boot. While I'm so extremely grateful for this wonderful experience I'm saddened by the reality that great service is no longer the norm but rather the exception. I've confirmed delivery on different occasions and still did not get my meds. I've called back and sometimes it's like they heard it for the first time. The potato chip things were not good. They were stale and soggy. We were able to get a couple of bottles of wine for the hotel room next door. They had the braver mascot in the store so the kids were able to take a photo either him and that was cool.
