Horrible Pharmacy. Florence A told me that my prescription was rejected because my insurance was not paying for it anymore. She insisted that she was doing this for 20 years and she was correct. I explained to Florence that the prescription was approved on the 17 of each month. She sent my doctor a an emails stating "he need to change my prescription"! She is a very horrible pharmacy tech. I had to contact my insurance about this matter. The insurance advised me that it was approved on the 17 and she was processing the refill for the next month. This issues went for over two hours. I have been on hold for over 45 mins. It's 11:06PM. I can't believe that they are that busy at this time of night that they cannot answer the phone. This is truly ridiculous. This was clearly the wrong pharmacy to use to have my physician call a prescription into and I'm pretty sure if I was to drive there they would be doing absolutely nothing! A joke. Doc sent over prescription electronically. CVS phone system said it'll be ready 10:59. I get here 10:57. She types it in & says "I'll have them get it ready. It'll be ready in 30 minutes." They don't even deserve a one star. They don't answer their phones. So you are forced to get in the car and come to their location. When you get there you have to wait in long lines only to find out: they don't have the medication; they just implemented a new rule as to why they don't have the medication; they want you to have your doctor call in a new prescription; Yada yada yada. This pharmacy updated their prescription system without letting my doctor's office know. This caused a delay in my son getting his medication which is unacceptable. I had to transfer his prescription to a different pharmacy and it was ready within an hour. The staff here is rude and you can tell they hate their jobs. Also prepare to experience long hold times on the phone. It's probably better that you drive up there instead of call. Hopefully your life doesn't depend on you getting your medication from them. I do have one pro and that is that they have a drive thru. read more

They are the worst CVS I've ever been to. No one communicates with each other. I get a call my prescription is ready and arrive and it's not. The Pharmacist didn't communicate with the other that my prescription was on back order. They never have the prescriptions needed and then they give you the run around because you call them out. I do not recommend them ever. I'd rather travel further out to get better customer service than to come here because it's local. read more

This is the absolute WORST CVS to visit.... My doctor called in a script before 10am today. I stopped to pick Up at 4:30pm and to my surprise it's wasn't done. Now, I'm back at 10:29pm pulled up in the drive thru and I've been waiting for 40 mins. Finally made it to the window and the technician says all frazzled " please give me a minute, I apologize" I'm watching him fill orders. There's a long line inside and outside. Who ever the manager is should be replaced. Earlier today there were a million people working and nothing was being produced WOW!!!! Late night 3 people working and still nothing is getting done. I feel sorry for the technician because he's sweating bullets trying to get things done. I will crawl to Indian to get my meds before I come back to this unorganized, GHETTO hot mess of a pharmacy. I called the pharmacy this morning to check on a prescription for my son. I was left on hold for over 45 minutes. I hung up and called to speak to the store manager and he never got on the phone to speak with me, after waiting another 10 minutes. The clerk came back on the phone and took my information and I still haven't heard back from her either, it's been an hour. I've been a regular customer at this location for 17 years and have witnessed the pharmacy staff ignoring the ringing phones and people standing in the long lines, time and time again. This behavior of ignoring their customer is unprofessional, disrespectful and unacceptable. The staff at this location need to treat their customers as they would like to be treated if the situation were reversed. The time they waste with all the chatting behind the pharmacy counter and working at snail pace, while ignoring their customers, they would have the time to fill more prescriptions, answer their phones, and help the customers that are waiting in line. They all need a course in customer serve training. If there are more customers that have experienced what I have, please write a review. Will not return. For the past 2-3 years, the pharmacy has been horrifically understaffed - on most occasions. It's not fair to the pharmacists and staff. They work hard and appear stressed. This CVS is by far the worst pre-COVID through COVID. if you call, plan to spend a great deal of the day on hold. It has now become very rare to get your prescriptions filled the same day. Imagine having a sinus infection coming on and you're not able to get anyone on the phone to check the status of your prescription. Imagine waiting in line to figure out the next day if the prescription is ready. I am thoroughly frustrated with this CVS. I plan to figure out another route for filling my prescriptions after today. There's not that many places out there that I would dream give a big FAT zero - except for maybe the CVS located right next to Five Guys, in Laurel. They're staff is unprofessional and uncaring - especially when "caring" should be the number one priority. I was on the phone for nearly two hours on hold, back and forth - waiting to hear the status on pain medicine that the doctor had called in for my husband. And the doctor did call it in - that much was verified, so why was his prescription not ready and then, you keep me on hold. UGH!!! Why advertise for 24 hours service when that's not being provided, is beyond me. This one bad episode makes you all look incompetent. Shame! read more

My doctor suggested that I find a store that had one of the Dr Sholl's orthotic machines to get the right number for an insert. This CVS was the closest location to me that had one of these machines. The customer service at this CVS is horrible. If you know what you need and you don't need assistance, then this CVS is as good as any other. However, if you think that you may have questions or need assistance, I would recommend going elsewhere. When I asked for assistance, I just received a gruff "no". The only pharmacy I've ever been to where pharmacists act as if they're wasting their precious time assisting/talking to you, and the wait times aren't just ridiculous, they're straight up outrageous. During one appalling experience, one of my usual medications weren't available, so instead of acknowledging it and asking if it was okay, they went ahead and filled the prescription with a different medication and then tried to charge me almost $200 for it. This place needs to go. There are so many more pharmacies around the area that actually care about their customers. read more

My son's prescription was put in on Monday today is Thursday I'm just finally getting my son's medication when I finally get it one of the two pieces are missing he was prescribed at a five-year-old and inhaler and a spacer when I picked up my bag all I have and there's inhaler didn't realize it inside home when I called them and told them that I was missing the spacer they said that my insurance didn't cover it said they didn't fill it instead of calling me or asking me that in there so I asked him how much it was going to be they said 1199 I said okay no problem go ahead and fill it I had to wait in digital 2 hours where should my son still hadn't had his medicine since Monday and when I get there they tell me it's $30.99 a post 1199 do not go to this location it doesn't matter that the open 24 hours I should have took it to a different pharmacy at least I would have got it the next day instead of waiting for 4 days to get my son's medication is it asthma medication that he was just prescribed and had no other medication read more

This is the worst service at a pharmacy I've ever had. And I used to be a pharmacy technician at CVS for 5 years. I called to get my prescription transferred from another store 5 times in 3 days and it still was not done. Each time I was told it would be done. One person said they had a computer glitch, the other said it wasn't backed out. I know how it works there don't play with me. I don't have time to keep calling and passing by but no RX. Maybe if I was face to face it would get done but that shouldn't be necessary. So I call today and I said can it be done or do I have to go to another pharmacy. She says "that's your choice"! Parking lot is dark and congested. Signage to the drive thru pharmacy is non existent. Pharmacy lines are always long (inside and out). Outside pharmacy will close on a whim without consideration to those already waiting in line. And when this happens, they don't open additional lines inside to accommodate those that have to go in. I came in the Saturday before the Fourth of July and was expecting to wait forever, but my prescription was ready almost instantly. The worst CVS pharmacy that I have been to. The night staff are absolutely horrible. I have waited nearly two hours for a prescription to be filled, after being told that it would be 15 minutes. I've actually seen one of the pharmacists pick up the phone and hang up without saying anything just to make the phone stop ringing. Not just once, but multiple times. Recently I asked for a prescription reauthorization through the automated service over the phone. I was told that I would be informed of the status of the prescription within a few days. A week has gone by and I have heard nothing. I spoke to the doctor and he told me that he faxed the prescription to the pharmacy days ago. The rest of the store is ok, but the pharmacy is worthless. read more

Omg every time I come here it's a disaster the employees have no idea what they are doing!! ZERO STARS !! You can either spend the next 5 mins reading my dissertation on how crappy the service is here or just take this warning DON'T GO HERE FOR ANYTHING!!! Trying to get pics and they don't follow their own posted prices! The sign says .20cents for 50+ prints yet the cashier wants to charge me the regular rate even though the sign is posted on every terminal! She wouldn't look at the sign at first finally she looked and said oh well you choose print in seconds. Umm no I did not because your sign says choose only print in one hour which is what I choose and I could have proven it to you but like myself and the other customers told you the machine is not printing receipts for orders! She still wouldn't charge the correct price she called the manager Yohannis. Another person who has no idea what he is doing. She had to call him three times and I had to start getting loud before he finally came up to the register from the office that is right next to the registers! He said oh just give her whatever she wants, nooo I am not asking for you to give me whatever I want I am saying you need to charge what is posted on your sign ! He says ohh no we will give you what you want you are right the customer is always right, etc... tells her to ring me up and she is like but what about her coupon that CVS email that says today only .14cents per pic for 50+ prints? Screw my damn coupon at this point it's been two hours i have things to do I will pay the regular rate at .20 cents a pic because I got 86 pics but not the .32 cents, this of course is where I screwed myself cause I should have said it was free! As he says of course whatever amount you say. What ????? Hate this damn place. I wish I could say this was an isolated experience here but it's not. It just happens to be the only nearby place that does same day photos. Also I wasn't even the only customer who had issues while I was there for 2 hours! Three other customers had issues. One women came to this CVS after being at two others whose machines were broken, then she goes to print only to get no receipt like me and hers doesn't print Yohannis tells her it's because she choose print in seconds and she has to do it over. She does it over only for her to stand there like a lemming with me trying to get someone to give her the photo cards. The guy hands them to her without envelope and without the Xmas envelopes they are supposed to come with so another cashier has to do that after she says umm there's a problem! Another guys has his cards printed only for one to end up on the floor and I have to tell the manager you are stepping on a photo he picks it up and puts it back in the stack with his footprint on it!! The customer guy turns to me and rolls his eyes like what do you expect from these idiots. There were other issues how on three occasions over a two hour period the cashier had to call for help for change for the registers and assist customers and each time it took multiple pages for the anyone to respond. God help the cashiers in the front if there had been a true emergency. Other things happened customer service wise to make this visit extremely unpleasant but as this is already a dissertation I will spare you. Just trust me don't go there! Did NOT give me all of my prescription!! Prescription was for 30 pills, but gave me only 27. And this is a prescription that cost me $154 (after Good RX, $640 before!) completely out of pocket as I was on vacation and out of state (and they knew it.) PLUS received an automated phone message asking if I wanted to refill my prescription. Did not tell me what the medicine was or what pharmacy it was until AFTER I SAID YES!! I would give zero stars if possible. The pharmacy at this location is absurd. Since the other location on Domer Ave closed, the prescriptions were transferred to this location. The staff is always helpful and professional, but the wait time to pick up prescriptions in the drive thru or the store is excessive. This is a general review of numerous visits: 1. Prescriptions are NEVER ready when they say they will be. 2. They say they never got the order from Dr when I know they did because I was standing there when it was sent and Dr office called to verify they received it. 3. They are understaffed and inept. For some reason, the cashiers are always stocking the aisles, and it's a big store, so when you want to check out, you either have to go and find whoever is supposed to be at the cash register, or wait 5 minutes before they deign to help you. This CVS has a pharmacy staff that lacks respect for their patrons. Now this is not a review of ONE experience but rather several over the last few years. You have to call 2 or 3 times to make sure your prescription is filled. Every. Single. Time. When Walgreens opened we switched there. So much better. If I don't feel like driving into the heart of Laurel (i live in the outskirts), I'll get my stuff filled at the new CVS in maple Lawn. Let me tell you, day and night. No...more like being in Pluto and being here on Earth with proper human interaction and proper customer service. So pharmacy sucks, yes it does. But the retail part is actually ok. Sure sometimes there's a line but that's ok with me. I like their over the counter baby medicine options. Their cashiers are always nice and make small talk. Ya know, they at least pretend they care.
