    Bad security

The store hours says it's closed at 12 AM. I got there at 11:55 PM and I noticed that the doors are locked and the security said they are closed and I said it's not 12 yet and I asked for his name and he said he has no name this zero star is for the security and the cashier who were lazy to close early.

Went to the dentist down the street and he said to get a Sonicare electric toothbrush. Well, guess what -- CVS in the heat of the lunch hour is NOT the place to be. First off, the pharmacy/health dept is down some steep stairs. And of course then you have to go up again. Funky, old store. Then the line was 10 people long. Someone in line told me that it is always like this at lunchtime. Got my item, waited on line, got out. Will she be coming back to this store? Not likely, Mate.

I'd only go here if I was dying and they had the antidote. Even the pathetic Rite Aid up the block is better.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! I love this pharmacy!…read more Why David do you love this pharmacy so much?? Because they are one of the few places you can get the top level Sanofi Flu Vaccine FluBlok. But David, aren't all Flu Vaccines the same? Are all cars the same??? All cars will get you from point A to B, but wouldn't you rather go in a Corvette than a Civic? Not all Flu Vaccines are made the same and are the same quality and safety. Ralphs has all 3 levels of Sanofi's Vaccines: 1. FluBlok for 18 to 65 2. High dose Fluzone for 65 and older. (FluBlok okay also for 65 and older) 3. Lower dose FluBlok for children. I got mine last week and the senior Pharmacist administered it--such a nice guy we chatted for a few minutes after about things. I made an appointment online at the Ralph's website, but not required--you can walk-in. But you can complete all the paperwork online and then there is nothing to do when you show up. And Ralphs also has all 3 New Covid Vaccines if you are inclined: 1. Pfizer (MNRA) approx 95% effective 2. Moderna (MNRA) approx 95% effective 3. Novavax (90% effective--non-MNRA) for those that are concerned about the adverse effects of MNRA. And Best of all--this Ralph's has a private doctors office they take you into for the shot--none of that shot in store next to the cheese where your neighbors are watching and gossip to everyone. "Hey, I saw David today in Ralph's getting a flu shot--he screamed so loud...can you believe he got the shot?" Last the other thing I like about Ralph's is the quality of their pharmaceuticals. I actually look at where they are manufactured and look up reviews of the labs. There is a difference there too. And when you are done at the pharmacy--pick up some Guinness--my favorite Beer to celebrate--they have that there too. And check the label to make sure you are getting the one made in Ireland at the Original Factory--I check the labels there too. No one wants an Irish beer made in the USA like they used to.

The vaccination protocol is excellent, and all of the pharmacists I have encountered are extremely professional. But in a small space, they carry snacks, get well cards, some cosmetics, any orthopedic device I've ever needed, a small but complete selection of over the the counter medications, and they can seemingly compound anything. They even managed to fit in a couple chairs for frail or tired customers. The atmosphere is friendly, calm and small town. Ron, the head pharmacist is terrific. He is on the floor and picking up the phone like everyone else on staff. He is also clearly the decision maker behind customer friendly practices like allowing me to use my insurance to cover as much of my prescription (as many pills) as it does then selling me, as a separate purchase, the remainder. Any other pharmacy I've been to in my life has forced me to get only as much of my prescription as insurance covers or pay for the entire prescription myself. I fear his retirement. They were great about fedexing my prescriptions when I was out of state and they have a free local delivery service.

However, I am only giving this CVS 3 stars because of the lack of staff on the floor to help open up the locked cases, which is 90% of this store. I understand why the merchandise must be locked up due to the past several years of theft. When a staff member does show up to unlock the case, they are always kind and apologize for the wait. CVS should hire more staff to help the customers. 5 stars to the Pharmacy Department for being open 24 hours. When my husband needed meds after 10pm, I was able pick up the meds, late at night! I had my doctor resend in the prescription TWICE and they insisted they had no prescription. So after talking to the pharmacist receptionist three different times I was met with unhelpful people who said "I don't know what to tell you, have your doctor call." So my doctor called with me on the other line and they left her on hold for 15 minutes, so I stood in the drop off pharmacy line with my doctor on speaker and asked them to pick up the phone for her and the pharmacist yelled at me saying, "I don't have time to talk to a doctor tell her to leave a message!" I said "will you even check the message? I am in pain." And he yelled again "I don't have time for this." If you want actual help, go ANYWHERE else. It's truly the worst place I've ever been and the worst, most incompetent people I've ever had to deal with.
