I cannot say enough amazing things about the Pavilions Pharmacy team. They are truly exceptional and go above and beyond in a way you just don't see anymore. Nicole, the pharmacist, is absolutely incredible. One of my medications has been in shortage and is much harder to get, and she always somehow finds it for me. She doesn't just give updates, she actively tracks it down, orders it from wherever she can, and makes sure I have it when I need it. That level of dedication is rare. Matthew has been such a constant and knows you by name, which makes such a difference. He's incredibly kind and helpful and always goes out of his way to make sure everything is handled. There's a level of consistency and care from him that you can really count on. The front staff is always kind and welcoming, and Yvette is so warm and helpful. She makes every interaction easy and pleasant. There are also so many other people who work there, and they are all consistently great. I get all my vaccines there as well, and every experience has been smooth, professional, and handled with care. There's just a genuine sense of comfort when you walk in. You feel taken care of, and that peace of mind means everything. It's rare to find this level of consistency and care anywhere, and it never goes unnoticed. What a great and convenient place to go grocery shopping in West Hollywood! Was made aware of this Pavilion location when I was here for a special sponsored celebrity wine & spirit event with actress Issa Rae! Their parking lot was spacious and had plenty of room to handle these types of specialty events. The event was very well organized and the staff were very kind and professional. The shelves were well stocked and organized with a variety ochoices to handle whatever your craving of the day is. This location also provides central air conditioning so for a hot summer day in LA, it's the perfect place to be. Pavilions Pharmacy - Actress Issa Rae showing up to promote her drink of choice! - Pharmacy Near Me - West Hollywood, California

This pharmacy is just so convenient as it is located inside of the Pavillions supermarket, at the west side of the store in the back, with lots of free parking. It's the only pharmacy that I ever use in Los Angeles unless a prescription requires a compounding pharmacy. They usually have everything right away, within two hours of my prescription being sent. If not, they will order it and I usually get it filled by the next day. The only inconvenience is that it's closed for an hour during the day, between 12 and 1pm, but it's open until 8pm. The pharmacists are usually very pleasant and they always have my insurance on file. Once or twice they've even voluntarily tried to help me get my prescription price down by looking at other discount card options . Plus, if you transfer a new prescription here you get 20% off your next purchase of groceries in-store and the same goes with vaccinations that they give in a little private room inside the pharmacy. All in all it's super convenient and I highly recommended this location for prescriptions, plus the prices are reasonable. Bonus points for being able to get a Starbucks and groceries on your way out of the store. The only hiccup I had here was during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic when they refused to give me a Covid-19 vaccination shot, but they were just being extremely conservative with vaccinations at the time. Back then, the pharmacist told me that they would only give the Covid-19 vaccination to someone who was undergoing immune system weakening cancer treatments, which was extreme as I had an applicable medical condition and ended up getting the vaccination somewhere else. It's honestly so much nicer to be able to go to this calm supermarket pharmacy than having to go into somewhere like the Rite Aid on Sunset Boulevard where you can get some very crazy impatient people...once I saw a guy try to jump over the counter for his prescription at the Rite Aid on Sunset and Fairfax. So I feel so fortunate to have this relaxed and easy Pavillions location for a pharmacy. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for over 20 years and up until recently, I've felt fairly neutral about it. I've never posted a review on Yelp until now, but this experience was so unpleasant, I feel inclined to share it. In short, the relatively new pharmacist and manager, Dan, was objectively terrible to interact with. Among other things, he was dismissive, unhelpful, rude and overall unprofessional. I've had very few customer service exchanges in my life that were this bad. Dan may be perfectly competent in other areas, but interfacing with customers isn't one of them. I find it unlikely I'm the first person who's felt this way and it's difficult to imagine the presumably positive attributes Dan brings to the table outweigh the damage to the pharmacy's reputation. This pharmacy does have an app, which may be its saving grace to some customers and there's a decent chance you'll never have to deal with him. Inept group of pharmacists each with a prevailing attitude that they'd rather be anywhere but there helping customers. While attempting to use a drug maker's coupon to lower the out-of-pocket cost, one pharmacist went out of his way to find out how he could prevent the use of the discount. It was bizarre and unexpected. I later went to CVS where the discount was easily applied saving me hundreds of dollars on an expensive chronic med without any problem at all. I would only return to this misfit of a pavilions pharmacy If I had a hankering to have my teeth pulled out or when I start to feel too good about myself and need a good kick in the ribs. Pavilions Pharmacy would do well to overhaul its culture and refocus with a bonafide interest in its customers. read more

Usually I find this pharmacy annoying - they are usually in need of a manager, having abused and rattled their last two- both lovely men in a not lovely setting. Complaints aside, I was there about 10 days ago and was about to purchase a medication that had an expensive co-pay. Over $100 plus. And, yes, this was with insurance. Matthew, a gentleman who works there and has for some time, plugged in a coupon he knew of and saved me $35 on my co-pay. I didn't discuss the price with him - he was genuinely trying to save me a few bucks and I greatly appreciated his generosity. I offered to buy him a coffee, dinner and all he requested was a positive review on YELP. Done! Thank you Matthew for being such a good guy. Maybe they should make you manager of the pharmacy! Transferring my prescriptions to WeHo Pavilions pharmacy has simplified my life! I was using a mail order service. Ruzanna and Robbie (manager) were terrific in helping me transfer over all ten of my prescriptions. I like that the pharmacy is open 7 days a week. Also, the pharmacy app keeps me updated with the status of my prescriptions via text and email. Ruzanna has gone out of her way to take care of me which I appreciate. Jasnet, Matthew and the rest of the staff are wonderful. The decision to take my business here was a good one! read more

This is the worst pharmacy that I have used regularly. CVS was so awful so maybe they are worse. Serena treated me kind to my face and then tried to have the store manager prevent me from using the pharmacy because her and a new girl thought I was demanding a controlled substance without a prescription. I am 34 years old and I am well aware that no pharmacy would ever give you a controlled medication without the prescription. Yet the Asian man, Serena, and the other pharmacy staff routinely disrespected and made me feel hurried, uneasy, unimportant. They will literally keep you waiting for 10 minutes straight while they are on a phone call, even if no one else is around, and they won't even give you a wink or a nod. I had okay moments with serena but ultimately, she failed me as a pharmacist. I will never ever ever use this pharmacy again. I will also work to educate people on ADHD and the medication for it. The fact that they are so ignorant to the disorder and what the medication does for patients is staggering to me. I believe the man pharmacist should be fired and if I could sue for the time when I went to the counter to ask that I be contacted as soon as they had my prescription, And that it was important (they interrupted me and said "we can't give you the meds" to which I replied, "I'm well aware of that." And was horrified they even inferred that. This is patient abuse. The constant making patients feel like they are wasting your time for asking questions about their meds and insurance. The Asian man pharmacist literally told me he would not explain a pre authorization situation to me again, even though I was truly unsure of every issue. I seriously beg you not to give your time or money to this pharmacy. It is truly one of the worst coordinated efforts I have ever seen and they should be put out of business. Pavilions has no business being in the pharmacy industry. The best pharmacy in West Hollywood is West Knoll pharmacy, then Capital Drugs but CVS and PAVILIONS literally hold a monopoly on VYVANSE, an extremely important adhd medication. This problem is not going away Pharmacy Staff. It's going to keep coming until you apologize to all of the people who had to come to the pharmacy two or three times to get their meds because you weren't right about how to input the insurance. I am so serious. If you have a controlled substance, they will likely treat you with a high degree of suspicion and not give you The benefit of the doubt. They are also ignorant to the conditions and symptoms the meds treat so they are not qualified to do what they do and they are rude. Pharmacies better start stocking their shelves with adderall and vyvanse and any other med ADHD people need, as well as providing pain patients with their damn meds when they come the first time. It's unacceptable how you carry on at pavilions. Do not use this pharmacy, it must be run out of business lest they buy up all the good medications and prevent them from being distributed to our friends at independent pharmacies. One of the men who works at this pharmacy is clearly incapable of having an adult conversation. He is ONLY rude. We are patients to one degree or another, so to have people staffed at the pharmacy who lack compassion is sick. This place is sick. Truly and deeply a mad house of pharma horror. This pharmacy is very chaotic and poorly managed. They never pick up the phone, and unlike Ralphs, there is no place to stand where you are not in the way of supermarket shoppers while you are waiting your turn. I went into this pharmacy to have a prescription transferred to them. I brought in all the necessary information. I did not hear from them for over a week. Whenever I tried to call no one answered. I left a message and no one called back. I finally reached them by phone, and they had not yet transferred the prescription. I'm not sure why it hadn't been transferred, but they should have contacted me if there was a problem on the other end. I told them never mind I'll go somewhere else. read more

i have been using Pavilions Pharmacy for years and appreciate the extra efforts that the pharmacists and their assistants offer. The pandemic made everyone's life extremely difficult but the pharmacists made sure to do the best job possible under very stressful circumstances. And besides keeping up with whatever variant of COVID-19 is currently present, they are given the task of providing vaccinations whenever it is deemed necessary. So, in addition to filling prescriptions, they need to provide extra service with a smile, which they manage to do under stressful circumstances. Ruzanna, Robbie the Manager, as well as Daniel, in addition to the other individuals behind the counter, go to extreme lengths to provide the best service possible no matter what circumstances they encounter throughout the day. read more

The pharmacist that works here is so incredibly rude and dismissive. I've been trying to get my pet's medication refilled for over a week and the clerks running the front have been giving me the run-around and blaming it on my vet. I've been using this place for months to get it filled with no problems. Finally I went to my vet and picked up a new copy of my prescription to deliver to them in person and this pharmacist wouldn't even talk to me. He just hid behind his counter and told his minion to tell me that they would only accept an electronic copy of a refill prescription. Where was this information a week ago? How does nobody in this place know how to do their job? Maybe do a little training with your staff and learn some customer service skills while you're at it. read more

I am writing to praise the hard work that the pharmacy provides day in and day out. The pharmacists are Robbie and Daniel. Their techs are the best, i.e., Ruzanna, Jessah, Matthew, Chis and several others I don't know on a first name basis. As customers, we depend on the ability to fill and refill our prescriptions, some of which are life saving. I have been a loyal customer for ten years, and wouldn't think of going elsewhere. He will completely ignore you while you stand there waiting and then act like he is doing you a huge favor (several minutes later) by acknowledging your existence and doing his job. Pavillions Pharmacy West Hollywood is poorly run and it is intentionally non- customer friendly - to keep profits high this pharmacy avoids interaction with patients. The antithesis of your friendly neighborhood pharmacy. 1) It is impossible to reach the pharmacy during normal business hours. They do not answer their phone. 2) leaving a message does NOT earn the courtesy of a reply. 3) at the pharmacy, several employees (not pharmacists) are unfriendly, pompous and arrogant. 4) Several months ago I had this conversation with the pharmacist. He acknowledged a phone problem. 5) After two months the problem continues. 6) Today, it is not possible to reach the front end store manager to contact their pharmacy to return my call. The main pharmacist there has the personality of a dirty dry gulching rattle snake. He has no business interacting with the public. Of all the bad corporate pharmacies out there, this one is the worst, as its one-star rating indicates. In the past they have 1) given me medication that was for someone with a name a bit similar to mine! 2) given me the wrong dosage of a heart medication. I'm not sure how I'm still alive, and I'm certainly not sure why I've come back. YesterdayI had the worst experiences with two of the nastiest men I've encountered--one a "manager" who seems to be new and the other the pharmacist named Daniel that other people on this site have had horrible experiences with. The "manager" refused to fill my prescription for 20 pain-killer pills for a compressed fracture. That's less than one week's worth. One week. He said it was bad for me. He asked if I've heard of the opioid crisis, as if I live under a rock. Finally he said they would call the doctor's office. They called, and received a call back very quickly. The office was told to leave a voice mail, which they did. The pharmacist, Dan or Daniel, still refused the medication and would not explain to me on the phone why he had to talk PERSONALLY to the doctor (who has nothing better to do than drop everything and repeat instructions she's already given). I started to say I was going to file a complaint and, unbelievably, he snapped, "You can't blackmail a pharmacist" and slammed down the phone. Judging from my experience and that of other yelpers I believe there is something seriously wrong with this man. He seems unstable. Today the doctor's office has tried to repeatedly call the pharmacy and they are simply put through to voice mail. I did file a complaint. I urge everyone who has suffered insults and humiliation at the hands of these guys to do the same. read more

Yes, there has been pharmacist turnover but they have all been very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff (including Ruzanna, Matthew and Chris) are always polite, helpful and efficient.)
