CVS Pharmacy is unequivocally the worst Pharmacy in the history of pharmacies. You can no longer call and speak to a HUMAN BEING, they don't accept valid paper prescriptions and the workers are simply rude. I have the simplest, legit prescription for my DOG and it's taking an act of GOD to get it filled. This is specific to the CVS on Electric Ave in Lunenburg, MA. Tried to call and confirm insurance info, they told me because I was in the car (passenger) that they could not take it and to call back. We pulled over and I read the card. She then told me sorry you will have to come in person with copies of the card and hung up on me. Had to bring a picture copy of my insurance that they would not take over the phone, got there and read my insurance card to the tech. Never looked at my card . This store has developed a multitude of problems with regard to the quality of the services it provides. Over the last several years there has been a decline in their ability to fill scripts / fill scripts timely. It is now routine to see anywhere from 6 to 10 people standing in line waiting while one of the two checkout kiosks is permanently empty. Second, they have implemented a phone notification system that notifies on refills that have not been specifically requested, leading to constant annoying repetitive phone calls with no way to indicate the drugs are not required. When I asked to have that feature turned off the pharmacy personnel indicated that was not possible. On one occasion after receiving an automated call indicating the script was ready, upon arrival the staff person indicated they had no record of it and we had to return several hours later. Most recently, despite the automated system, there was no message issued (I had to call them to check on it) to tell me that they ran out of a very common drug I needed sooner than later. Seems like they want to push sales to the max but stay mum when they dont have what you need. Summary: Insufficient staffing, phone system annoying and ineffective, extremely poor execution on filling scripts and checkout at the PHARMACY. Stopped by Saturday to get 2nd vaccine (walk in.) One of the pharmacy workers informed me to come back Sunday. Went back and this short little old woman and I were standing there for 10 minutes before "I finally " spoke up. Asking out loud- " Hey are you doing vaccines today"? This guy just looks up at his coworker and mumbles something to her????? So I say "excuse me again- are you doing vaccines"? He kind of looks my way and mumbled something? I say- "can you speak up I can't hear you" he looks again at the other coworker and then just continued with his business. What the hell! This guy (and all the rest of them) in my opinion was so freakin rude! He could have stopped what he was doing for just a moment, to politely come over and let me know what the scoop was. This CVS pharmacy, located at 454 Electric Ave in Lunenburg, is the absolute worst!!! I've been going here for 8 years years now and over the past year things have gotten progressively worse. There are a bunch of new employees and they don't seem to know there jobs correctly. They continuously try to fill medications that I've told them to delete from my account (2 this time) and are either condescending or have attitude when I call them to tell them, AGAIN, to delete these. I can't change pharmacies because I have no care and have to use a cab to get there (expensive). Now, you need to stop blaming everything on Covid-19 (thinking they had to hire new people and this is why they have such poor employees). They're just terrible and I'll keep leaving negative reviews every time they do this to me! read more

The old man cashier up in the front of the store needs to go. He's extremely unhelpful and rude. When I confronted him of a overcharge he gave me a dirty look as if it was my fault. Bought two bags of chocolate buy one get one half off. Was charged full price for both bags. $15- ea... Was told need a cvs card to get half off. Screw this place in Lunenburg Ma. Worst cvs on planet, they never have prescriptions ready NEEEEEEEEEVER!!!!! They send messages saying your prescription is ready ands it's not. Being going there for years because i don't want to drive to another town. I know their excuses by heart, the computers are down, or we've been busy alllllllllll...... day. How is that possible every single time i come in? Not helpful staff, not responsive, not a good place. I would love another one to open up or this one get a whole new staff. read more

Terrible refill service! I used the automated line to request a refill where they had to reach out to provider to issue a new annual script. The automated call ended normally - i.e. I didn't hang up prematurely. In 2 days I heard nothing so I called and at first was told there was nothing pending for me. Eventually we dug deep and found out their fax to the provider failed. There is NO FOLLOW-UP on their end to do anything about that. He said its because I used the automated line. How insane! That is their system. He manually put in the fax request and it failed also. Being a human he corrected it. I think the doc's office fax # may have changed but their systems need to deal with an unsuccessful fax attempt. This is not the first time there's been issues like this with CVS. May be time to try Walgreens. read more

This place is so screwed up. I had three prescriptions to fill after my son's surgery. The tech told me 15 minutes. I did some shopping, brought my stuff to the car, hung outside for a little bit. Came back and sat in the waiting chair. Time went by and another person who dropped off came and sat. She came in almost 20 minutes after me. We are both still sitting waiting and a woman comes in and they don't have her script as it was sent to another store. The pharmacist stopped what he was doing and filled hers on the spot. Then the girl who came in after me got called. Now I'm mad. I go up and ask what's the deal. Finally after 50 minutes I got my scripts ( nothing funky). So Unorganized and unprofessional! They could have cared less! read more
