I'm pretty aware of what HIPAA regulations are and what they aren't. I only wish the pharmacist that I dealt with today had the same knowledge. An added extra? How about a smile and basic customer relation skills? 90% of the healthcare professional's job is dealing with patients in a friendly and positive manner. Treating customers/patients like bothersome nuisances is all too often a sign of incompetence and negligence. Trust me, I know. I appreciate that Walgreens is struggling and shutting down no small number of pharmacy and store locations, allegedly due to the inability to make a profit (go figure). This is definitely a circumstance, where one pharmacist, in one location, creates a bad reputation for all others - as well as the company. You might choose to stay with Walgreens, but do yourself a favor - skip this location.

I called over 20 compounding pharmacies from Sarasota all the way to Tampa. Only 5 out of the 20 were willing to possibly order they would have to look into. I had a $5 coupon and a 30% coupon in addition to a .09 cent coupon and I still ended up paying $45! I needed them so I purchase them although I had purchase a pack of 70 last year and paid around ($36). I complained to the cashier at the pharmacy before paying and she advised me the price had increased tremendously everywhere, I felt I didn't have a choice but to purchase it since I had run out and needed them. Tonight I go on line to check the price on Amazon and to my surprise their prices were so much lower!!! For a pack of 70 it was $26.58! I can't return them to CVS because I've open the package and used two. I am so mad at myself for believing the cashier! Never again will this happen to me!

But I go here anyway because I am so appreciative of the pharmacy. I have never had a pharmacy team go so above and beyond in every way. They are helpful with all sorts of questions. They are so so fast. They multitask better than a mom with 6 kids (probably)- I mean seriously the way they juggle filling orders, talking to people in the drive thru and answering all my insane questions?? Wow. They actively do more in order to find us ways to save money. I just cannot even list all the ways they surpass expectations in delivering exceptional service. I recommend this pharmacy to anyone. The CVS itself is great as well. Very well organized and maintained and staffed (the line never gets longer than 1 or 2 people). Kudos to you, CVS!

What else can be said? Does, "I love that they sell multiple varieties of chewing gum," work for you? Without the overworked pharmacy department and the prime real estate the buildings sit upon -- Walgreens would be out of business within a year. They know that. Now you know it, too!
