This is our go-to store for mostly food items and non-food items. We spend more than $200 a week on food for a family of 3 and 2 pets. Before the spring season is over, we will spend another 200 or more on plants. Over the years, we spent thousands on material items not related to plants or food. We do shop at other stores, but this Walmart is definitely our favorite. I see the employees are always friendly & helpful if needed. As far as employees not speaking English, I agree. This is not a problem for me, but if they are illegal, then I have a problem with them. American jobs belong to Americans, not illegal immigrants. I love the selection of stuff in this store. Grocery prices are still better than other stores locally. My only complaint is when you ask for help looking for something, nobody stocking the shelves speaks English. They all have hand help computers you have to type into. Whenever I visited a foreign country I studied the language before I got there for some basic things. I can't imagine moving somewhere and not trying to learn the language. read more

I used to go to T**** Wine & M*** to get my 7% alcohol infused ice cream. Well, they stopped carrying it. So now I get it at the Walmart Super Center. The price has risen to $10 a pint, but this delicious ice cream with a slight alcoholic buzz is definitely worth it! read more

Not a big fan of Walmart in the first place, but after this last visit I will seriously take my money elsewhere. Let me explain. Two reasons: One, they reduced the width of the isles so only one cart can pass. Bad decision. Two, they only had one cashier checking out people and/so the line was extremely long. My only choice if I didn't want to join the long line was to do self checkout. Since I don't work at Walmart, I will not opt for self checkout. It looks like they expanded this job killing service. So I went to customer service to checkout. By using the self checkout to purchase your goods, consumer/we are helping these tightwads out. Self checkout is advocating joblessness (think about it, where are all the employees?) which does not help the economy (no one is getting a paycheck). If they are saving so much money, why not pass it on to the consumer? For example, my soda cost $.25 more than before their self checkout expansion. Don't use self checkouts people. Expanding self checkout is antithetical to Sam Walton's believes of affordable/low prices and giving opportunity to the masses. read more

This Walmart Supercenter is indeed gigantic. It's located behind Village Inn and Texas Roadhouse across from Bay Pines VA on the north side of the street. This store seems to have the largest square footage of any Walmart I've been in. The store was well kept. Despite it's size, there were plenty of available self-checkout stations. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I'll definitely return. read more

Just an update on the vision center. Stopped in with my daughter to pick up her new eyeglasses ( her first pair ever). She got BeBe brand with pretty much the works. They look very nice. The staff was quick and friendly, and more hands on board. Thanks to the associates at this location for making it so easy and getting it right. I am a Walmart plus member and they didn't give me my whole order they left off like half my order Walmart customer service said that they put it in another order they left off $49 and some change so she had to give me back to me so yeah that was wrong I'm sorry but I feel like it's rude of them it was for Thanksgiving and haven't even finished I'm trying to get everything ready for Thanksgiving then I turned around and had to reorder it at another Walmart and they were very polite so I tried to call the store and tell them and they kept hanging up on me they're very this store is very disrespectful they don't know how to answer their their phones they're very rude I'm polite and everything so I think they need to learn manners and the managers need to learn respect for the customers and the customers are always right and need to get training and customer service that's just my opinion read more

Just to get assistance while looking at the bikes I had to call the actual store to have someone paged to help me in that department, no one ever showed up!!!!! When leaving the store by the front I saw two employees talking and laughing so I shouted " you could have made a sale if you would have sent someone back to the bikes when I had them paged." Had a scheduled grocery pickup for 5pm today 8/4/22. I've been here waiting along with countless other people. The time is now 6:57pm as I type this. They are severely backed up and didn't send adequate updates to us who shop online for groceries. The young helper showed me they're behind 2204+ orders and said that I should maybe come back around 9pm . Never ordering from this location again. ALCOHOL ID WARNING: so, I've never drank alcohol in my life. That's right- 3X years of living and never a drip of alcohol. We came to visit the area for "staycation". As we were leaving this Walmart my husband passed these pouch-alcohol drinks. He mentioned his buddy was drinking one the other day and he was curious so he threw it in our cart. Great, no problem. They have approx. 3,747 self check outs and 5 employee check outs. We were forced to do self check out. When we scanned the pouch our register lit up but we kept going and someone came out she said nothing just stood behind us. I said "oh, she probably wants your ID" and checked his ID...didn't even look at me and said "I need yours too" lol what why? She said "I'll have to remove it if you don't have it" My ID was in my car w the rest of my belongings, which I told her she refused to sell us 12oz of alcohol bc one of us thirty somethings didn't have our ID. My husband put it back and we didn't think it was a big deal but I felt bad. Firstly. This places FIRST TWO AISLES RIGHT AT THE FRONT OF THE STORE is alcohol. They're advertising it right in your face bc it's a party/beach place.. TONS of signs "must be 21 to purchase alcohol" "must be 21 to purchase alcohol" "must be 21 to purchase alcohol". NO WHERE does it say "everyone in your party must have their ID" NO WHERE!!! Also. When she checked his ID she didn't say she needed mine..only after she saw his which was weird bc he's well over 21. Just wanted to warn anyone who's wants alcohol but you have someone who doesn't have an id with them. This was coulda been embarrassing if we were w friends. read more

If you expect any type of customer service, go elsewhere. My husband and I waited over 45 minutes in sporting goods for assistance to purchase binoculars. We requested help from multiple employees, as well as the front service desk staff but no one ever came. We asked for a manager, but were refused. We eventually gave up and went to Dicks Sporting Goods where we were waited on and assisted immediately. I'd give them zero stars if I could! Awful! read more

While I have never been IN this Walmart I want to give a full 5 stars for the curbside pick-up from this Walmart. My hat goes off to this team for their proficiency. It is approximately sixty thousand degrees outside and these folks are running bags on bags on bags of groceries and goods to the trunks of our cars with so much speed. How!?! I am blown away by how hard everyone is working. The curb-side pickup is easy as can be. Order online, arrive at the store, pick a space number that's open (despite being hecking busy there are usually many), let them know the space you're in and voila. They are at your trunk masked, gloved, and ready to load your purchase. Definitely a service that reminds you to count your blessings. read more

I shop here a lot because it is a Super Store that has 99% of the items I need when I think Wal Mart items. It is well laid out and is stocked well so my trip for essentials is a one time stop. The key to this location as well is I know where everything is and feel safe entering and leaving the store to go to my car. This store has gotten very frustrating to buy things thanks to the removal of virtually all check outs. I think the store does a great job on their produce, and works hard to be in stock. Since I was buying beer I went to a cashier so I wouldn't have to deal with the incompetent people at the self checkout. Upon checking out the cashier said she couldn't sell beer. How do you have 2 cashiers and 1 can't sell alcohol? Don't sell it then. No wonder the Walmart family is the wealthiest in the world. I will start off by saying, it does not matter if you are dealing with customer service employees, bakery/deli employees, electronics, or any other dept. in this store, no one seem to be properly trained! I used to shop here after because of how close they are to the Veterans hospital; I have not been back for good reason. My last visit to this Walmart, I was yelled at by an employee for touching the makeup and not purchasing the product, not using the makeup, touching it and she went ballistic about Covid and told me that customers can no longer handle their products and put them back? So, if you touch anything, you must purchase it according to this nutcase they have working there. When I asked to speak to the store manager, she told me that he does not work on weekends? When I asked for a store lead, she informed me that this store does not have a store lead either on weekends? I had to notice, it really didn't matter which dept. it was, no one had training to be doing what they were doing, which makes it very hard to get angry with the employees, the real issue from the times I have been here has been lack of training, so this is why I blame management. I have personally seen a cake decorator here licking her finger while detailing a cake before, with no gloves on! Yet I was yelled at by an employee for touching a makeup and not having gloves on, really? I work at a hospital and know how hard it can be to deal with the public, I have been in line to check-out where the cashier told me how much she hates people, they simply aren't getting the right people at all, they are there because they have to be, not because they want to be. And when you need a supervisor, there is never anyone around, if you're lucky, I mean really lucky, you might find a front-end team lead, and then the 1st thing the front-end team lead will say is, well I'm not a manager and can't do what you need. I have had employees here tell me that this store is too big and they blame the issues on the stores size. Now its mostly self-checkout here, so I can imagine what a zoo it is today. Corporate really need to look into this location and make some changes, from the top up first and if that doesn't fix this mess, shut it down and sell the land to a developer! read more

I went here today with my elderly parents. Was greeted by BOTH entranced having a graveyard of motorized carts, all with signs "out of order"! Had to be 15 or more dead carts! So we went to the shoe department to look for some shoes for my elderly father with Parkinson's who was walking with his cane due to no cart. We found a couple pairs we wanted him to try on and we asked him to sit on the bench a few feet away from us so he could try them on. The "manager" who was working on opening up some boxes, slammed down a box on the bench and says to my parents to please look a few more rows down for another bench! My elderly parents who are having trouble walking this huge store due to there being no motorized carts! I peered around the corner to look at him in amazement checking to see if what I just heard was for real. I looked for another worker to ask for a manager, and she pointed to him! That he was a manager! I said, no, then I need to speak with his manager please! Basically the girl that came to talk to me will likely do nothing. But that huge dark haired manager that with the funky hair cut working the back of the store to restock at 5:30/6pm on Friday 7/21/23, he needs some serious lessons on customer service, and I shutter to think he is a manager! My word. How horrible. FL is heavily populated by elderly. Get with the program, Walmart! Wish I had taken a photo of the graveyard of carts sitting there. Seriously, very sad! read more

Walmart Supercenter on Bay Pines in St Petersburg is the best Wamart ever for good service and well-stocked shelves. Many items I cant find in Largo nor on Rte 19 are at Bay Pines. Even for groceries, I needed a second box of arugula (there was only 1 left on the shelf because organic arugula at Walmart's price is hard to beat), and the Produce Dept associate Brenda kindly went right away to bring out another carton. Terrible customer service! Just left Walmart 9/13/16@1150hrs and bought a Bucs shirt under a huge sign that said 19.96!!! Get to register and rings up 29.96, I ask for mgr and he states the price on tag always outweighs the sale sign! I insisted he come look at sign and he and another employee looked at all the jerseys that barely fit on shelf under sale sign but still insist in a flippant attitude that the tag outweighs any tag on merchandise! They do not offer to refund my money, nor do they offer to give me the discount since it was falsely advertised, instead they do absolutely NOTHING!!' And LITERALLY WALK AWAY! A new Walmart = a clean Walmart. It's new enough that I only encountered a small handful of Walmart Customer Dysfunction. Good deals abound, and we took our time, pushing our cart across the shiny floors. I realize this fresh environment is waning rapidly, but it was nice to be there while things are still happy. It would be really nice to see more organic produce. There were a few vegetable offerings, but no fruit. Quite possibly the largest Supercenter I've ever shopped. The layout is similar to most other locations, but with more stuff. I mean, A LOT MORE STUFF. And like other Walmart locations, not enough registers are open so checking out is a pain. That said, aisles are wide and the selection is very good. For the largest retailer you can't seem to manage INVENTORY. Every time I visit your store, I can't get several items on my list. Off to Target. My husband bought our grandson a child's kayak. You pick up the paddle at the service desk, which he did. We found out when he went to use it that it was an adult paddle. When we went back to replace it we were told they don't carry child paddles and tried to give us a toy paddle instead. We're very unhappy with this outcome. We know if he struggles with this paddle and doesn't have fun he will likely not want to continue kayaking...all because Walmart doesn't carry the right paddle to go with their kayaks . This is brand new store, it just opened on Friday, July 18. It's a huge superstore that even has a liquor store inside. It's very nice inside & most of of the employees seem to be happy since moving from the old store down the street. They have a wide variety of items in both grocery & other areas. It's directly across from Bay Pines so it's only 5 mins from work, very convenient if I need something. read more
