This girl came up all rude and says "I ain't selling nun unless I see both IDs" he tells her "here's my id" and I'm like I don't drink I'm just here with him" and she acts all rude not going to sell him it so I tell him to come on let's go. And he called her a Karen and she starts saying she can blacklist him. It was a ridiculous experience. I will now be only going to Kroger or anywhere else besides there. They stay open until 8pm and I was there at 4:33pm. I was the only one in line for vaccination and 2 others in line to pick up prescriptions. Both times it was the female pharmacist. I am 83 yo and I don't require special attention however to tell me to come back tomorrow was a bit much. I don't get out often and I have to wonder if I do go back tomorrow if she will say again that they are not doing anymore vaccinations.

They carry alot of random drug store items that have nothing to do with medicine, like blankets, candles, shirts ect, but also have a large selection of home nursing equiment. It's nice and air-conditioned inside with a very clean store space. It even smells clean here. My rx is always filled very quickly, often given priority in the line (since I wait in store). The waiting area is small but comfy (4 seats) but no worries on the seating, I've never seen anyone left standing. If I had tho I can almost bet they would pull a chair out from the back to accommodate everyone. Super friendly staff, and they treat you like a human being i.e. remembering you, knowing your needs ect. I'll of course keep returning. I just wish this was a little closer to my home. We had been using this pharmacy for over six months. The last time we requested a refill on one of his daily meds (that if he misses a dose he could die) they said his prescription was FINALLY available a day before he was out, THEY LIED. My husband stopped by to pick it up and they had only 20 pills out of 270. The pharmacist swore up and down and promised they would have the rest the next day. He stops back by after work, NO MEDS. They tried to blame it on DEA laws which was a LIE. Our son's neurologist would not be able to prescribe a three month supply if that were true. My husband sat there for 2 1/2 hours waiting for answers. This was a Wednesday. They said they could get 190 in by Friday and then order the remaining the following Sunday. My son would be out by Sunday if the additional pills didn't arrive by Friday. I could not risk his life that way. Called corporate and lo and behold the store manager picked up the extension the following morning when I called to see if the meds would be there Friday. He was out the door to drive to Kentucky to get my son's pills. I would have been impressed if I wasn't totally freaking out. We got the meds and I decided to give them another chance. My son was running low on his emergency seizure med, diastat so I requested a refill on the following Saturday evening. THEY HAD NONE IN STOCK! That was it. I transferred his meds to Jay c's in North Vernon. Walgreens transferred his meds FIRST to CVS!?! Finally got it straightened out but it was the second worse time in our lives (after our son's diagnosis.) they NEVER apologized, NOTHING. My only comfort is they lost major revenue from our insurance company. Stay away!

A large part of me has a soft spot for Walgreens because many years ago they employed me as an…read moreintern and probably paid me more than I was worth at the time. That being said, I feel like I can be pretty objective about what's good and bad about this place. I don't think this is breaking news, but Walgreens is a place that charges you more than others because of the convenience it provides. That's just the way it goes. This particular Walgreens has a pharmacy that seems to always somehow have customers with difficult orders. I am rarely pleased with the speed of service at the pharmacy. I highly recommend going at off times if you want to avoid long waits. On the good side, there are a lot of friendly employees, including one who seems to be there during every single open hour. And there is also a good chance you will see my friend Todd there, because he is always there too. And here's my dirty secret: This place is so close to my house that I'll still go no matter what. They have me over a barrel.
