I was so pleased with this CVS pharmacy. My doctor called in prescription a few hours before snow storm and pharmacy closing. I was nervous prescription wouldn't be filled in time but prescription was filled in plenty of time. The staff were super friendly & professional. If you had a poor experience before, please try them again because I can only say good things about this CVS pharmacy. read more

I called to ask if my dr had sent in a prescription or I needed to bring the paper in for them. The girl told me she couldn't find me in the system, fine, but when I went in to the counter they found me in the system. It was a little frustrating but fine. I was told my prescription would take 10-15 minutes to fill so I opted to wait. Almost 40 minutes later I went up to the counter and it turns out my prescription had been filled and filed away...I'm not happy about the wasted time I spent sitting there. The store itself was very clean and well stocked. The employees were very nice and made a point to greet me as I shopped for a few things I needed. I was completely disappointed with being overlooked and disregarded while I sat there waiting for a prescription that was already ready. Not a happy experience. read more

Don't you dare ask your pharmacist a question here! They're in a hurry. Purchase your prescription and get out of there. They have zero patience for a quick question about the medication you're picking up. I was at the counter for less than 90 seconds between giving my last name/getting my prescription/leaving. And I was cut off every time I tried to ask just one question. Young girl with dark curly hair. I felt so rushed. That encounter alone was enough to make me want to switch pharmacies. read more

I called this pharmacy after my mother went and got my prescription for me since I am sick with Covid and don't want to infect others. I was told my medication with insurance is $200 which is very odd even though it's a 90 day prescription as that is what I usually get and the total comes out to $100 and so I called to question it. I was handled with the manger who cut me off mid sentence when I was explaining what was going on and told me not to cut her off. I was then handed off to the other pharmacist and when I started to get upset as I had already explained what had happened and had to reexplain. I was told to fix my attidue and I'm not going nowhere with that attitude. I had no attitude. When I asked for a manger as I felt disrespected I was then told that person before was the manger and I could not talk to anyone else. This is somewhere I do not recommend nor will I continue to get my prescriptions there as they don't care about the people coming in or the money getting taken out of their pockets do not go here. read more

This has got to one of the worst CVS pharmacies around the Middletown area. I have lived in this area for a long time and I have never seen the level of poor customer service as this Washington St location. Pharmacy counter people are just rude. I have had to wait for prescriptions for hours only to be told come back tomorrow and maybe we will have it done. This is totally unacceptable. read more

Been going here for years, even when they made a mistake and left out a controlled medicine and then implied I took it home and was looking for a double full. Two days later the manager found it sitting on a countertop after my third call to complain. Okay, I survived. But now meds are "in process" for a week. Then suddenly they have to order it when they told me on the phone it would be ready in 20 minutes, after a half hour on hold listening to that horrible music with that horrible robot breaking in every 30 seconds to tell me about all the shots they have available, etc. This is seizure medication! It's the third time in a row I've had to go off of it for a week or more after they told me to come pick it up. This time, they told me 20 minutes, I drive over with 2 herniated discs in my back, I wait in line because drivethru is closed (again), and they tell me it'll be ready in 30 minutes. I can't stand or sit, driving is agony, but I am not going to just hover there and wait. And then when I get home I see on my phone one is suddenly ready (again), but my seizure med is now on order. I'm done with CVS. read more

We are regular CVS clients and have been to a couple around Middletown and Cromwell and I beg to differ!! We have had nothing but a very positive experience with this particular CVS in Middletown! The 2 Pharmacists are always very polite and expeditious in filling our scripts!! We have had nothing but good visits to this store to the point we live in Cromwell and have a CVS store 5 mins from home but we drive the 15 mins to go to this other location!! There are some folks in the pharmacy who are good people who remember me and are basically kind. BUT I am going to have to move business for my rx elsewhere. I have an rx for a med that is on the list of super controlled drugs(code for pain in the arse.. Have to physically go get new rx every 3mos no refill). EVERY TIME THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH FOR 90 DAY SUPPLY AND CAN'T GIVE PARTIAL. I ASK IF THE NOTICE THAT EVERY 90 DAYS I RETURN? I CALL AHEAD TO GIVE THEM NOTICE(AS PHARMACIST REQUESTED) .. WANT ME TO BRING IN THE SCRIPT... UHHH THEN WHY CALL TO GIVE YOU NOTICE? long story short, whoever is running this place cannot seem to run a business smoothly. EVERY time I have to go days without med. UPDATE: I moved my rx to Walgreens and it's a pleasure THERE. this CVS hiring of new people has made them even worse. Totally unprofessional conduct from the one guy who now works there. I have a couple of rx still there because of my insurance coverage and I dread having to see this guy. My assessment of him, from my observations is that he is rude, immature, and lazy. It's like an interesting phenomenon when new people take on this attitude that their employment for one week gives them some sort of authoritative status over a customer who has been going there for almost a decade. Absolutely no recognition that just because they don't know you (because they just arrived) doesn't mean that you are a new customer who doesn't know what's going on. read more

Every time I drop a prescription off they tell me when it will be ready. I come when they tell me and it's never ready. They always tell me to wait 10 more minutes. Why tell me when to come when it won't even be ready. Ridiculous! read more

I wish I could give this location no stars because that's how horrible their pharmacist is. Literally, I mean LITERALLY every single time I come by to pick up a prescription that a prescriber has called in, they tell me they have no record of it. EVRRY SINGLE TIME. Then they have the nerve to tell me that I messed up. I had it sent to 675 Washington street, what don't they understand about that. Luckily they usually give me some medication to get me through the next couple of days while they sort it out, but I am so done with them. I am NEVER getting a prescription sent here again. I couldn't help myself. I need to review this store. I called just now to see if they sell MAM brand pacifiers as my 18month old is in the car and sleeping, but a 2 hour drive home and many bumps in the road, I imagine she will wake and need a binky. God only knows where the ones we brought are. Anyhow, I called, asked for 'baby pacifiers' asked for and spelled "M as in Mary, A , M as in Mary brand pacifers." We did this 5 times and the woman didn't know what a pacifier was, I swear I'm not making this up. I'm trying to be quiet on the phone, but articulate. I just need a binky! "Do you sell pacifiers for babies??? Binky's??? To suck on???????" "Oh, yes, we do." "Great!!! Do you sell the brand 'MAM'?" "...what? is that a medicine..?" I want to scream my head of. I decided to switch back to rite aid because the staff at this pharmacy is horrible. The pharmacists themselves need to be out of customer view and probably shouldn't communicate with humans. God forbid they actually make eye contact with you. The people that ring us out are miserable. I get it, it's not a dream job. Just put on a fake smile like the rest of us and pretend. At least I received decent customer service at rite aid. They actually do this crazy thing called smiling! They even make you feel somewhat welcome and the pharmacists actually talk to people, nicley! It craziness! All I need done when I walk in is to get my medication and go, no questions.
