on July 24 my doctor called in a prescription for clindamycin. I went to the pharmacy and they said…read moreit isn't ready yet. Come back later. We came back later and she said there's not enough in stock so we have to order it and it can take a couple of days. I asked, why can't you borrow it from the Chester CVS because when I was a pharmacy technician we could borrow it from our sister stores. they said it takes a couple days ma'am will call you. being that I had a raging infection and I didn't want it to spread in my upper arm or wrist. I called the store manager to get through because otherwise you cannot.. I made the complaint that why can't they borrow it from another sister store or call my doctor and ask for a replacement of another sort. The pharmacist finally got on the phone., Live and said, we can give you smaller doses to replace the one big dose for your daily needs and I asked why didn't they tell me this yesterday? she said well I don't understand why they didn't offer that to you. I did not work yesterday. This is a matter of seriousness because I could lose my hand so within an hour they gave me smaller doses. The robotic system called, says your prescription is ready you can pick it up so I believed it yesterday and it was not complete because it was not in stock. Miscommunication is a very bad thing in this business. . I was a pharmacy technician and I know the seriousness and we would always borrow from another pharmacy or sister store there is no reason why any drug stores should be out of stock for a simple common antibiotic the pharmacist apologized and it was great to get through to speak to the pharmacist when I called the store manager. If you rely on them to call you back in a timely manner, you have to wait till the end of the day. I had a lot of pain, suffering, and swelling for the past two days without having the antibiotic. I find communication very poor you cannot get through to the pharmacist, directly or the staff you must leave a voicemail and I could not drive to go and personally I had to send somebody but they do take my insurance and the manager did get me to the pharmacy so at least I'm grateful for that. in the picture, you will see my swollen hand. I could not use it cannot drive cannot function. I needed the antibiotic as soon as possible Before it spread.

I witnessed the pharmacist making a racist comment about a customer who asked if she spoke Spanish…read more She didn't think anyone noticed, but I did. I couldn't help translate for the customer because he left quickly after she told him no. I didn't confront her or report her at the time because I don't like confrontation so I decided to leave this review instead. I will file a complaint with corporate regarding the situation because her behavior made me very uncomfortable as a Hispanic person myself, and she shouldn't be working there. She is an older white woman with blonde/gray hair and it happened on 2/19/26 at 8:43pm. I don't expect anything to be done about it because it's her word against mine, but what goes around comes around and justice will find its way to her. I find it unacceptable that people have to deal with that kind of nonsense this day and age, but here we are. I won't be coming to this location anymore.

You would think with Pepsi being headquartered in New York, it would be a little easier to come by,…read morebut seemingly every restaurant and/or quick stop has Coke. Traveling the streets of New York, I had built up a thirst, and saw there was a CVS close to Grand Central where i was going to be doing a tour, and grabbed a Mtn Dew and a bag of chips for a quick snack. Easy in and easy out. The store seemed clean, and although I didn't encounter any employees as I used the self-checkout, the interactions I saw seemed positive. All and all, thank you, CVS, for having Mtn Dew in stock and available.

Recently I'd ordered two bottles of Extra Strength Antacid Tablets from CVS, when I had a discount…read morecoupon. Unfortunately their expiration date is just several months from now, and meanwhile each bottle has 250 pills (admittedly the suggested dosage is 3 pills at-a-time, but still....). There's no way we'd consume anywhere near 500 of those pills by their expiration date, so I wanted to exchange them for bottles that have a more reasonable expiration. Today I had to be just one block from this store for a medical appointment, and fortunately there were (only) two bottles available - and their expiration date was *much* more generous. I went to the cashier's counter, and the cashier explained that she needed to have a supervisor handle the exchange (and I'd brought my receipt with me). The shift supervisor was inexplicably *nasty*, and from the very beginning. Meanwhile; she told me she couldn't do an "even exchange" because the flavor was different than the ones I'd purchased (?!) - so she said I'd have to return the ones I'd bought and then purchase the other ones. I told her that I'd used a discount coupon when making the purchase, whereas a "new" purchase would *not* provide the discount. She continued being nasty and suddenly disappeared, and then she *finally* reappeared many minutes later. At that point she told me she'd confirmed with the store manager what she'd told me - but she should have had the courtesy to at least tell me why she was suddenly leaving, and her nastiness was totally inexcusable. Now I'm going to contact the CVS Customer Service Department, but I shouldn't have to waste so much time re: this situation - and most importantly, CVS shouldn't have an employee who's so nasty. (The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is because a very pleasant employee helped me find the location of the pills).
