This CVS location is convenient with plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. There's self checkout options, an ATM right by the entrance and it's fully stocked with all of the usual items CVS carries. It's not the biggest one in the area, but it is average. I've never had any issues in the store and the staff at the front are always offering to assist. They were particularly loaded up with Mother's Day gifts this weekend - balloons, flowers, plants, cards and more. You could probably walk in and find nice gifts and nobody would even realize you got them at a CVS. Something interesting I'll point out - my kids have sampled milk from many stores in the area and find that the milk carried by CVS is the creamiest. read more

I came in to buy a humidifier. They had 3 different kinds.. There is literally no one to assist in making the decision. Then, When I went to pay, I was going to use the self pay machine, but when I scanned it, it told me that I needed a representative to assist me in this purchase. One person happened to be behind the counter and when I asked her to assist me, she told me to use the self pay machine. When I told her that it said that I needed a representative, she sighed and gave me an eye roll. Then I told her that I needed a price for each one, I got another eye roll. Then I just asked her if she could ring me up and she did so, but didn't look too happy about it. All in all, it was not a great experience. read more

Always a reliable go to place when you need something But this review is about a staff member behind the counter on Sunday afternoon An elderly lady was attempting to buy a gift card to pay a bill. It seemed as if she was falling for a scam as it was inappropriate. (Ie iTunes gift card to settle a bill) I am not sure of the result, but the young girl was doing her best to try and help this woman and talk her out of it Caring about her customers and the community is not something that can be taught. I went in for a passport photo and they were so friendly and helpful. Was in a rush and they were quick!

This CVS location is one of my favorite locations. I love that they are constantly featuring new, relevant and exciting brands! My only suggestion is for example, when bringing on a brand of makeup like REVOLUTION, you see a person's history of buying drugstore makeup, alert them to this news. Oh, I also love the coupons that apply to the whole order rather than one item please! Service is always good and they have self checkout where you can pay cash that I love. Despicable, Hateful, Unsanitary CVS Pharmacy! Should Lose License to Dispense Rx Medicine! One star is way too many for this CVS. The head pharmacist, "Bhumi," is extremely nasty and hateful, particularly towards customers with disabilities and special needs, elderly customers, and customers with a Jewish last name. On a number of occasions, Bhumi was sloppy putting labels on containers, obscuring important information, and making a sticky mess of the medication product. When we politely asked Bhumi to provide another container that was not soiled, her nasty response was to throw a fit, refuse a clean container, refuse to dispense the medication, and rudely pronounce that my mother "Can go somewhere else for her medicine!" Bhumi literally left my mother without the medication we came in for, and had no regard for the consequences a patient - let alone an innocent elderly patient - would face as a result of having to go without their medicine! This happened on a second occasion, when a medicine my mother urgently needed was only available at this one CVS location--at least within 60 miles--but the other pharmacist, Carmen, refused to dispense it, despite being fully aware that my mother desperately required the medication as daily maintenance therapy! We then learned that pharmacist Bhumi had the gall to retaliate against and blackball my mother after we complained about her unprofessional behavior, enlisting the store manager to put in CVS's patient profile notes to not dispense any further medication to my mother!! That's how egregious and dirty this Montvale/Chestnut Ridge Rd. CVS operates! Records are readily, illicitly falsified by the pharmacy manager, with defamatory information placed in the patient profile to smear, exclude, punish, and illegally discriminate against innocent customers who have special needs and health issues, disabilities, complain about unprofessional behavior by pharmacy staff, or belong to ethnic groups the pharmacist doesn't want to serve!! If that weren't bad enough, Bhumi also fails to inform patients about potentially dangerous Rx interactions, claiming it's not her job, and that patients should check with other pharmacy employees or call their doctors back if they have questions or concerns! (Since my mother takes over a dozen daily medications, this role of any professional pharmacist/pharmacy manager is essential). On top of all this, this pharmacy flagrantly violates sanitary and public health requirements, including willfully allowing pharmacy staff to come to work sick--and continue working sick--endangering all customers whose medicines they process and with whom they interact! On the same day the pharmacy manager refused to provide a clean container of medicine for my mother after messing up the original label and turning the container into a sticky mess, we observed a technician constantly coughing and sneezing, and repeatedly touching her face, then using her mucous-laden hands to fill medicine viles, touch the paper and labeling, put the medications into bags, and even work the register, standing inches away from customers! At one point, this technician came out to the patient area and as she passed alongside of me, began sneezing so intensely that I had to quickly turn away and cover my own face to try to avoid being sprayed on! I discreetly and quietly attempted to point out this serious health and safety violation to head pharmacist Bhumi while waiting for my mother's medicine, and understandably asked that this employee not handle my mother's prescription. However, Bhumi's nasty, unprofessional response was to turn a blind eye on the obvious health violation, and insult us for reporting it to her! Her verbal admonishment was the repeated mantra, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else for your mother's medicine!" Pharmacists should take pride in serving the public--especially patients with special needs and the elderly, not treat customers hatefully, as if we were dirt! This pharmacy should not only lose its license to operate, it should be severely fined for its horrific practices of vile customer treatment, discrimination, records falsification, and dangerous health code violations. Nearly any pharmacy would be better than this!! read more

Never thought I would leave a review for a CVS...until now. This is in regards to the Pharmacy, not the overall store. What in the world is going on here. The pharmacy is run by a confused and rude staff. I've been here for 40 minutes now, gone up to the counter TWICE and been told BOTH TIMES "just another 10 minutes." I may have performed poorly in calculus my first year of college, but that doesn't add up. No wonder everyone who approaches the counter here is already upset, they're used to it! The old man who works the pickup line is condescending and downright rude. The lady at drop-off rolled her eyes at me when I went up a second time and she somehow completely forgot who I was when I approached her 20 minutes after we first spoke. Gotta love spending your day, sick, at the pharmacy when I could be in bed healing from my ear infection. Won't be calling my prescriptions here anymore. read more

Worst pharmacy ever used! Took 6.5 hours for them to fill a prescription for my child's ear drops. I stood there in person for 2 hours while my child whimpered in pain and made phone calls to my doctors office and insurance company, that the pharmacy staff should have been doing.(pre-authorization to release the drug.) No sense of urgency and much misinformation provided to me by their technicians. Almost every employee working in the pharmacy department operated like it was there first day on the job. - First day on ANY job! read more

Never any issues at this pharmacy. They are always willing to answer questions and tell me if there is a coupon to help make a prescription cheaper. I love that I get text messages for when prescriptions are renewed and/or ready for pick up. I've considered alternate options closer to my home but they ha e never failed me in the 15+ years I've been going here. read more

2nd time coming to this CVS, my Drs office made a mistake by adding this place for my prescriptions, it be just a little further from my local one and I couldn't be bothered with the phone call to change it. I will be now. Whoever the miserable muppet working today (Labor Day) needs to work on her people skills, snappy bad attitude. A woman a cpl of places in front of me who questioned her reg prescription that was for a month supply had suddenly jumped 6 times the cost for a 3 month supply she hasn't ordered . It was like it was too much trouble to her and said " oh well go ask the Dr then, I just give out drugs" and was throwing her daggers at her for even questioning it!! Then it's my turn. I'm very cordial and give my 1st name and then my surname, she didn't know how to spell it, abruptly with an attitude snapped "SPELL IT" I looked at her and said nothing for a few seconds until she looked at me and I threw her a blank face. She obviously realized I wasn't going to be addressed that way and softened her tone. I understand people have bad days, but this pharmacy had just open 10 mins earlier. But be professional. The airline confiscated my body spray so, we stopped in here to grab a new one. This may be one of the most organized CVS stores that I have ever been in. I usually shop at their competitors because they are faster and more organized but, this place is the exception. They had quite a bit of items on sale and they were all well marked with accurate sale prices. I obviously bought more than I came in for. There was one person in line in front of me who was asking a million questions so, I had to wait 5 minutes behind her. The cashier was very apologetic and after hearing me speak, asked me where I was from. I told him Texas and he promptly thanked me for bringing the warm weather with me haha. This place is an absolute disaster! Incompetent employees and a poor system. This pharmacy should be forced to close, it is a total joke. I called ahead to guarantee my prescriptions were ready for pick up. I was told "absolutely". I show up and I am told one of the scripts is "lost in space" I have no idea what that means and the people working here didn't have a clue either! I was having trouble getting my Dr and Insurance company coordinating the approval for a medication my husband really needed. It is very expensive and our drug plan would not approve it and the Dr said they did all they could to get it approved. Susan advised me that my cost was $300 for 30 day supply. She sent another message to the Dr with no success. Then she checked Good RX for me and it brought the price down to $79.34. Susan ( Susie) took the extra time and effort to get my husband that medicine without costing hundreds of dollars. read more

I normally do not review pharmacy's because you never know what you are going to get, who is having a bad day, maybe a rude customer was just in, etc. But today I went to CVS to pick up medicine and the new pharmacist Judy brightened my day. I recently switched pharmacy's because my old pharmacist was mean and this one is closer to work and I am so glad I did. Judy was a breathe of fresh air. She was welcoming, sweet, and funny... something that is not expected from a pharmacist but I cannot tell you how much happier it made me to be in her presence and have her wait on me. This is, by far, the worst pharmacy I have ever had to deal with. Long waits, not enough staff; a woman who was helping me try to find my medication and just disappeared. I waited 15 minutes for her until catching the attention of another employee. I asked "what happened to the woman who was just helping me"? "Oh, she went home" which meant I had to go through my whole story an additional time. They couldn't find my prescription and after 40 minutes, we just left. An hour later we got a call: they found it and we had to drive 20 minutes back to pick it up. I will never do business with this CVS again and urge the same from anyone else. read more

WORST PHARMACY EVER! I have NEVER arrived at the counter to find any of my prescriptions waiting.There is always a problem with the electronic script or they only received one of many or their system is down or they charge me the wrong amount... These issues are consistent even when scripts are coming from different doctors for different members of my family. The line in the pharmacy is always long because the cashiers have NO idea what they are doing and can't ever help...when you get to the front they say they can't help you and send you to a different line... I have an idea CVS, hire some competent help!!! The pharmacists seem knowledgeable however the rest of the staff may as well not exist. read more

Went for a knee brace. There are 4 sizes. The package institutions say to measure the circumstance of your knee. No tape measure in the store. Asked up front. None. BTW the braces are logically located in the allergy section, not the foot care and bandage area. Maybe IKEA should sell them some of the paper ones they have by the millions in their stores. I used to buy my prescriptions at this location. A different pharmacist every time, all English challenged. I now go to a family owned pharmacy, get personal service and the cost is less than CVS charges. Plus, no temptation to buy overpriced crap that they sell.
