Pharmacy does not pick up phone service lousy pharmacy techs are holding personal conversations in front of customers. Very unprofessional.

Big cvs. Sometimes long lines. 24 hr access makes it convenient, esp for pharmacy/health products.

I have family that lives in Bronxville, and Value Drugs is one of the businesses in the village…read morethat they frequent. One of my aunts alerted me of a sale that they have every year around the holidays where most items run 20% off - she usually takes advantage of this sale when purchasing small gifts and stocking stuffers. This year, she asked if I was interested in joining, and since I indeed needed to pick up a few small gifts, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check Value Drugs out. On the surface, Value Drugs is an independent pharmacy, but it's a little more than that since addition to being a pharmacy and providing corresponding retail items, they have a large selection of non-pharmacy items which gives the feel of almost being a general store. It's a family business as well, with multiple locations in Westchester and on Long Island. The store is quite large - you enter into the main area with general merchandise, and then the pharmacy area is almost in a separate room off to the side. They have a good selection of merch - you can easily spend a good chunk of time browsing. As soon as I entered I focused on the holiday section - I was able to pick up some confections to complement gifts I was giving, and noticed they had a variety of decor as well. Even though the store is large, the aisles are tight - it was a struggle to navigate with all of the foot traffic, however I feel this was an atypical situation due to the sale. Service was good; the store was well staffed and despite everything going on, there was a flow and organization. Overall, I had a good first experience at Value Drugs. I cannot speak for their pharmacy services, but I can see how their other selection along with cleanliness and good service make it a staple in the Bronxville community.

The bakery section doesn't have as much variety but thats my only complaint. The meats and poultry section is almost always fully stocked and their snack section is amazing.

**Since there are double listings at times on Yelp and I checked into the "other one", the review…read morebelow is just a copy and paste of my previous review from 7/2018 of the same listing. They've renovated and added more space to this location. It looks much larger on the inside than it did previously - some through spacing and others they cut into the stock room for. They seemed to add some new brands to the aisles and expanded the beer section nicely. Not sure why (unless a tacky and non-intelligent marketing ploy) they saw the need to once again flip some aisles and move things around to other areas when they could've stayed where they are. Regulars who know where items are now have to search through the entire store to find where the items they want are. I like to shop fast, but now I have to go at a slower pace because they decided to move things around and I have no idea where some things are anymore. OR I can just go to another location or competitor where they don't do that. Staff is still largely the same - blah - especially the nasty and rude stock employees. If they were going to renovate, how about firing the garbage and hiring some with basic work and customer service ethics. Speaking of, they still insist of stocking during busy times which makes no sense other than annoying the customers. They moved and redid the self checkouts, though it's more boxed in and confining. They have more sections, but not a lot of room for full cart items. I do maintain there should be a basic IQ test to be able to use self checkouts, but I digress. The "Scan It" deal is thankfully still there. The typical weirdo local customers are still here, but not all. It's probably location more than anything as other Stop & Shops don't have this selection of customers. During busy times, it's the zombie apocalypse inside complete with the smelly, the slow, the lagging, the brain dead, and the carnivorous shopping nature. Zombies are not rude, but some of these people are. Not this location's fault obviously, but I still feel the need to point it out. Parking lot was renovated a while back, but loose carts still all over the place at times. So this location does look better and houses more items than before. It's a nice overall improvement, though some things weren't necessary or they didn't improve enough. For the area, it's a great grocery shopping option.
