I have been using Trotta's for years, as I believe in supporting neighborhood businesses. Until recently, they have been wonderful, but lately I have had several issues: 1. Several times medications for delivery were not delivered after a few days and I had to pick them up myself. 2. On other occasions, medications were not ready when I came to pick them up, hours after the prescription was sent in -- wasted trips. 3. Several times a mixup occurred when a prescription was called in and Trotta's claimed not to have received it -- wasted trips again. 4. THE WORST: I came to pick up medication for a colonoscopy that had been ordered many days before and was told it hadn't been ordered yet because they needed to know whether we would be responsible for the copay. No one called to ask us; they just waited for someone to come in and waste a trip. Furthermore, if we had come in for the meds the day before the colonoscopy we wouldn't have had them on time and would have had to cancel the procedure! This is inexcusable! read more

I am very fortunate to have Trottas as my pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is amazing. They keep a close eye on the medications you take. They watch for drug interactions and notify you immediately if there is a problem. The pharmacists are always available to answer any and all of your questions and concerns. Hands-down, the rudest customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Maybe if they didn't hire teenagers to handle peoples medication we would have a better quality of service.. they consistently miss delivery and then blame it on you if there's a problem, if you have a problem with your medication you better believe everybody in the whole store is gonna know about it because they don't understand privacy either worst pharmacy ever. Been a customer for years and always pleasantly impressed at with the staffs skill and speed. Being with them for that long, I've honestly had 1 or 2 bad days with them but overall I am thankful there's a pharmacy so accommodating and skillful! read more

If you are a pain patient in fact any patient do not use this pharmacy if you need your medication's in a timely fashion. They do not carry most medication's in stock, they will not tell you if they are available, don't use them this is not just a one time thing for me it is happened multiple times. There is zero compassion at the store, once again if you value your life do not use this pharmacy. read more

All else being equal I prefer to use an independent pharmacy instead of a chain. That said, all else isn't equal. Very surprising that no employees at the pharmacy counter, including the manager, were wearing masks when I visited this evening. It's a mom and pop superstore! At Trottas you get all the convenience and selection of a major chain, while at the same time supporting a local business that's been there for years. Their prices aren't crazy at all, and they get bonus points for stocking hard to find prescription meds. Highly recommended. read more

I love this pharmacy because the staff members are kind and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to children's prescriptions and illnesses. They keep you informed and collaborate with you on everything. The delivery is free, and the drivers are courteous and on time which makes me want to tip them and not feel like I have to. When I do visit the store, it is clean and well-organized, and there are adorable items to buy. I would never return to a CVS or Walgreens since this pharmacy is the greatest; it is absolutely wonderful. read more

This place is the best! It's so good it's worth driving out of your way to get there (although they do provide free delivery if you live in the area). The service is personable and after only one or two visits you are greeted by the pharmists by name. They stock "high-end" items (like Crabtree & Evelyn & Ahava products) along with the normal stuff. They also have toys, cards, gifts and balloons. It's like one-stop shopping. There's just no comparison to regular ol' chain pharmacies like CVS. read more

Good pharmacy but 1 star review because they clearly take advantage of people using GoodRx. They pretend to use GoodRx but actually make up their own prices. I used to pick up here for years but have since moved and was back in town picking up here recently. They are a private pharmacy unlike CVS, Walgreens ect. Because of that they try to charge more. Unfortunately for them a GoodRx price is a GoodRx price is a GoodRx price! In other words GoodRx sets the price not Trottas. Trottas pretends the price is much higher than we can clearly see for ourselves on GoodRx if you know how to use the GoodRx Application. I am pretty sure this practice by Trottas is in violation of the law. They legally cannot charge more than the GoodRx price but they currently are doing just that. Do your research before hand and hold them accountable before they rob you. read more

It's a wonder that Trotta's still exists, and apparently flourishes. Like a pharmacy of old, it has people who work there who really know what they are talking about, and who have enough time to answer your questions and give advice. On top of that, if you are not too far away they deliver, right to your door, without extra charge. In addition, as to many items Trotta's is less expensive than the non-sale prices are at CVS and at Walgreen's. If you live anywhere near Harrison, such as in Larchmont, Mamaroneck or Rye, give Trotta's a try; I think you will be really happy that you did, and that you have a chance to escape the impersonal monopolies that CVS and Walgreen are trying to force upon us. read more

What a relief! Ever have one of those weeks (months?) where nothing seems to go right, everything is a hassle, people are crabby and life in general is just a big pain? Me too. But my trip to Trotta's really did help lift my spirits. I needed a wheelchair for my mother. Trotta's had a nice selection, what to me seem like good prices (renting for a month now and will buy later) and best of all THEY WERE HELPFUL! No sullen drones making it seem like they were doing me a favor by doing their jobs, but friendly and helpful people at the front counter, at the pharmacy, also the manager was great! I have encountered a very RUDE female manager on several occasions at the Trotta's Pharmacy in Harrison. When I had asked to speak to her, she did not acknowledge me; she said "I can't, I'm busy;" and on other occasions, when I was in the middle of speaking to her, she abruptly and rudely 'cuts me off' and walks away. This place is the best! I would give 10 stars if I could. CVS is basically the only game in town, and they act like it. The pharmacists are rude, they NEVER carry drugs that don't fly off the shelves anymore to boost profit, the cashiers act rude or as if they could care less...I could go on. Trottas could not be any different. They always have what I need (7 CVS locations and Costco did not), the cashiers and pharmacists have the patience of a saint, they are just nice people, and heck, they've even given my kids candy while I've been there. It's what I imagine businesses must have been like before every mom & pop got bought out. I pass at least 8 CVS's on my way to Trotta's from Larchmont and will continue to do so as long as they are there. read more

Trotta's is amazing. The best of the best. They went above and beyond with difficult cancer management medications for my family when various chain stores had one or the other issues stocking expensive and highly controlled substances. The variety of what they sell in the store is great, you always find what you're looking for plus something you didn't know you needed. Staff is top notch; I wish I worked here! (Bonus points: they're apparently opening a shop in Larchmont next to the new DeCicco & Sons, also a great place ... I wonder if those stores just belong next to each other!) read more

Better than CVS because you'll get more attention, but you'll often find high school kids behind the counter who don't know much. And if you're med is anything out of the ordinary good luck. The waiting area, despite the store expansion of a few years ago, is still cramped. Also there's no drive-thru like at CVS Lord's Farm, and the hours, especially on weekends, are limited. read more

Was looking to purchase a birthday card and saw Trotta which advertised American Greeting cards. They had a great selection of cards to choose from. This store is modeled after the old pharmacies of Americana. They have throw back toys and gifts which are good for last minute holiday shopping. The staff is helpful and friendly (with the exception of the young lady at the counter who never smiled, thanked me or even made eye contact when she handed me the receipt). My biggest drawback was the price of some of the items. My wife wanted a bottle of rubbing alcohol. A small bottle cost me $4.09. Really?!! read more

I had been into this pharmacy to buy a surgical supply item some time ago. The sales person who I had dealt with had been so incredibly rude that I was shocked by his behavior. And he had been the one who had given out quite a lot of erroneous information about the product and then in the end it was not available to purchase after a very frustrating period of time waiting for it to be ordered. I was so put off by this experience that I never wanted to go back there, despite that they could have been a nice alternative to CVS. read more

Terrible pharmacy. They make mistakes and never take responsibility for them. They are nasty and defensive but never constructive. As much as I hate chains and want to use local stores I'd rather do business with CVS then with Trottas. Truly an awful pharmacy. read more

When my dad became ill and needed invalid supplies, it was great to have Trotta's well stocked selection. You won't find this stuff at CVS, things like bedpans, canes etc. They also have a big range of wraps and braces for orthopedic injuries, way more than your average drugstore. Really good, knowledgeable advice, too. They also have a lot of unusual, premium lines of products for hair and skin care and pretty good toys and gifts. I'm really glad to have this store, and not just be stuck with CVS. read more

This place is great! My mother needed a medication that when I called my local CVS, they said they had in stock. I drove to the CVS and when I arrived they told me the medication had to be ordered for the next day. Went back the next day and the drug had not come in! Fed up, I called Trotta's and they went above and beyond what I could have ever expected.. They called my Dr and got a new prescription, ordered the medication for that afternoon, and the owner even delivered the medicine to my mothers house on his way home! I have since switched all of my mothers and my medications to Trotta's, which was a great decision. The pharmacists and staff are so friendly and very helpful, and will gladly fill your prescriptions while you wait (no coming back in a few hours like CVS!). I even saw them once pick up a prescription outside from a woman with sleeping children in the car, quickly fill her prescription, and bring it back out to her in her car! No other pharmacy even compares to Trotta's! read more
