New Drug Loft is a beautiful new independently owned business. I'm partial to the small pharmacy as opposed to the big three Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid! There's beautiful merchandise here and it's very clean. I needed help with an item and the employee was very nice taking time to show me what they had. We had a nice chat. I know where I will go for gifts and cards. They have a great selection of items that smell so great and lotions too. The Christmas decorations are very cute. If you live in the neighborhood I recommend you visit when you need something. I'll be back when I'm in this neighborhood that's for sure! read more

TLDR: I really love this pharmacy. They treat me like family which keeps me coming back! Every time I come here I'm always welcomed like an old friend. I've only been here a few times but they make me feel special each time! They give you a call whenever your prescriptions are ready and they have basically everything you need for any ailment you may have. Best pharmacy ever. read more

I switched to New Drug Loft after the big box pharmacies kept dropping the ball and not answering their phone or helping me efficiently. New Drug Loft is a small, locally owned pharmacy that has many other products/over the counter goods that aren't locked behind a case, which I love. They work with me and my insurance to make sure medications are covered or if not they let me know in a timely manner. They really helped me today with a last minute rx minutes before they closed. I get off work at 6 and got here at 6:45 to once again see the place closed. This time there's a guy (who clearly sees me outside) in the pharmacy. I had such great experiences with this pharmacy until today. I called them on Monday March 11th (still within my 30 days window from the prescription that was called in on 2/13) and was told that my prescription would be ready either yesterday (3/14) or today (3/15). I called them today and not only was it NOT filled as they said it would be but now they say it's an expired prescription. The 30 day window ended a couple days ago but my prescription was still valid when I called to refill it. Whoever told me on the phone on Mon 3/11 that my script would be filled clearly didn't pass the request to the pharmacist? I'm now almost a week without my medication and unfortunately given the last minute notice of not being able to have this filled (New Drug Loft never called to tell me there was any issue) I cannot get a doc to call in another script until Mon. That will be a full week without my medicine. This is my medication! Medications aren't to be played with. This pharmacy should be ashamed of this mess up. read more

Ben, Nury, Norman and all of the staff rock..I have been a customer since Nury was a young girl. (she is still young but that is because I am a crone.) Ben the pharmacist then took over..I consider them my family.I do my own research on branded and generic brands..Ben and I have discussed my drugs if they changed.. I was recently in NY and had the pleasure of visiting my favorite pharmacy, New Drug Loft. They have recently moved over from their old location to a new address on 2nd Avenue. It's a beautiful new store at a great location. If you are in need of essentials or a place to get your prescriptions filled, this is your place. I have been coming here through the years and will continue to do so because of the personal service I receive and the great prices. The faces and voices are friendly and always willing to help. They have a vast variety of toiletries, soaps, perfumes, creams and lotions. Most of them high end and very convenient to find. They are a compounding pharmacy as well, which are few and far between. I much prefer to shop here instead of one of the large cold corporate chains that just don't know how to treat their customers. I encourage you to stop in and check it out if you are in the neighborhood. You won't regret it! read more

I recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to switch to a small, local pharmacy from the chain drugstore I was using. Unfortunately, New Drug Loft has been incredibly disappointing :( They have never called or texted me to tell me my prescription is ready - Ive always had to call and ask if they received my script and if it is ready. A few of these times the prescription had been ready for days I just didn't know (and they seem annoyed I haven't picked it up). Other times my medication has been unavailable or backordered but again, they didn't notify me of that at all. I find that extremely surprising given they are dealing with medications - if someone's medication is unavailable and you don't know when it will come in, that seems like a really important thing to communicate to your customer so they can talk to their doctor. I even asked if it was possible for them to notify me by call or text and they said yes but I still do not get any communication from them. It also feels like I'm inconveniencing them whenever I call - it doesn't seem like they care about helping customers or the quality of their service at all. I would recommend going anywhere else read more

Last year during major Covid they were saving lives filling RX other pharmacies wouldn't. Now they can't be bothered to call back after you leave messages, send emails or even if you send them a fax. Too bad as I prefer independent pharmacies vs chains, but when the boss and three staffers all have this poor level of response to paying customers, unless I hear they've changed, I'll go elsewhere. read more

The staff is very professional and friendly at the same time especially Nori, Ben and Norman. They go above and beyond to guarantee my satisfaction. I almost died because of the incompetance of the telephonist at this pharmacy! She told me my prescription would arrive in 3 days. She failed to say 3 business days. This is crucial when there is a weekend involved. I have thyroid disease. I went without medication for a day and a half, then had to rush in my car from upstate where I was working to get three pills to stay alive ( after I had called a second time to find out what day the meds would arrive) until my prescription arrived via post. I began to have heart palpatations and drowsiness while driving. When I spoke to the telephonist she yelled at me for complaining. The bottom line is that they were busy and she was not fully focused when I told her I had only two pills left. It is a scary mentality when the pharmacy expects an il patient to perform 100% and then yells at you. What would the pharmacy have said to investigators after i had died? read more

My doctor unknowingly prescribed a medication that would interact with one of my supplements and the pharmacist (Ben) caught it! the staff is always a wealth of knowledge. Amazing little pharmacy that I popped into by pure chance while looking for a toothbrush. I didn't recognize it's actually a pharmacy unless once I'm inside, I was walking down the street from the hotel wondering around and looking for a Walgreens or something and the vitrine caught my attention due to the neat display of Avène and other French skin care products which I rarely came across in the states "I knew later that those amazing products are getting more popular lastly around here for some reason". The pharmacy is so small BUT packed with excellent goodies and numerous choices. It had the cozy ambience and resemblance to the regular green cross signed French pharmacy gems. I noticed though that OTC products of the same lines are just different in here from what they are in France either specific product names or suffixes at the end or most importantly the concentration of ingredients that are actually in the product. In France the concentrations are generally higher I believe. Anyway it's an excellent pharmacy "no experience at all with the prescription section", helpful and friendly staff, no crowd of people and very conveniently located near hotels and other frequented businesses. read more

What a difference from going to a chain pharmacy. There products are amazing and the staff are so helpful. When filling my prescriptions, there always so efficient in calling my doctor when I'm out of refills and never keep me waiting long. Very disappointed in the experiences I've had at New Drug Loft. They filled my prescription with the wrong medicine not once but twice. Granted, the medicine given in error was thankfully in the same family as the medicine I was prescribed (and this wasn't a generic vs. brand name error) but this is still an unacceptable mistake. After the first time it happened I vowed to always google the pill name to ensure the pill I received looked correct. So the second time, I did this, and the pill didn't look right once again. I was assured up and down after the first time that something like this would never happen again and just weeks later, the same exact thing happened. I had several conversations with Ben who assured me that not only would the owner be calling me to apologize, but the pharmacist who made the mistake would also be calling me. Neither person ever called. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a customer service experience before especially since with this one, my health is at stake. Thank god I wasn't allergic to the medicine they gave me in error. read more
