I don't understand all of the negative comments about Jenny Tran. Our family thinks she is the best! If you have multiple prescriptions or changing dosages you should always double check to make sure you are getting the most recent prescription. CVS computer system likes to refill automatically and will refill old prescriptions unless you tell them to stop. ALWAYS ASK IF THE PRICE YOU ARE PAYING IS THE CHEAPEST. CVS will check and make a price adjustment. The price you pay may not apply to your deductible but the out of pocket costs will be a lot lower. I save over $200 per month this way. read more

Austin at the pharmacy really REALLY takes it the extra mile to help out and LISTEN. Over the phone I spoke to two different pharmacists who both didn't help me, didn't listen to what I needed, didnt let me talk and just didn't care. Today I walked from my home about a mile away to exchange a $19 product for some vitamins since I had a few too many of the original item. I have been shopping at this CVS for 16 years and go in at least 3 times a week. Everyone in there knows me. Since I walked there I did not bring my purse but brought a credit card and my item. On the item it said "Intended for sale at CVS Pharmacy." They would not let me exchange it at all because I did'nt have an ID with me. They kept using "company policy" excuses. I then asked to speak with corporate which also told me to go jump in the lake. The supervisor dude said if the employee would allow me to exchange he would be "breaking the law". Now I know why this place gets a 2-star rating on average. Off to Rite Aid I guess. Customer service counts more than anything else. read more

I NEVER get the text messages when perscriptions are ready....even after talking to them about it again. I don't understand why people are complaining about not having a bathroom. There are 2 restaurants literally right next to this place and a Ralphs less than 100' away, get off your lazy a** and walk to another bathroom, jesus. I think the worst part about this CVS is the parking lot, it's like a senior center bumper cars, truly terrifying during rush hours. Always spots available though, I find it easier to park farther away to avoid the drivers. Employees are nice, I get monthly Rxs here no problem, never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I use this pharmacy often due to its location. However, I wouldn't say their service is good. I caught them provide the wrong medication/dose for me twice. Do check against the doctor's prescription once you receive your medicine. There was one time they didn't have the medicine in stock, so they ordered it online. I waited a few weeks and still nothing and had to ask them. It turned out they never got the order but just kept ordering it even though it is in stock in another CVS within a mile. My symptoms have almost cleared after such a long wait and I don't understand why the CVS system let stupid things like this happen. read more

Of all the neighborhood pharmacies, I like CVS Eastbluff the best. I can find anything here down to wide selection of diet juices. They keep regular to seasonal items well stocked. Photos and printing stations are equipped with all device connections. I can rely on attendants to troubleshoot any technical problems. Checkout is convenient and friendly staff are always happy to greet you and help out. read more

I've been coming here for 2 years and it is the most disorganized, chaotic pharmacy I've even been to.

it's 8am, I ran out of antibiotics and need some asap so can get some dental work done at 9am. The gal behind the counter filled my prescription within minutes, she bailed me out of trouble. In regards to the guy about the bathroom use. Here is what a lot of companies are doing: The reason why a lot of companies do not allow you to use the bathroom is because it may or may not be ADA compliant. A lot of companies, including myself have been sued by a guy in a wheel chair for a very minor infraction. (ie, grab bar is 1/4" too high) But it never goes to court, you never see the guy or the lawyer that is sueing you, but your write out a check for $ 7000 to settle. So don't blame CVS, blame the handicap for putting companies into this predicament. Out of all ADA lawsuits in the USA, CA is putting up with around 80% of them. All businesses are scared of the handicap. So, the next time you see a guy in a wheelchair, say thank you for making you hold your pee. read more

Parking sucks. Almost always, but especially during lunch time. If you can get past that, this is a pretty solid pharmacy. I stopped by yesterday to pick up a prescription. The nice pharmacist (or checker..whatever she was..) kept calling me Ms. H---. It was cute. 1 month ago: I have never had a negative experience with CVS until now. I came trying to get my prempro prescription refilled because I get these sever hot flashes. They told me I had to pay 192.00 because of my insurance. When I called my insurance they told me it was CVS. So, I've been suffering for a whole month. Now they gave me provera with a $30 fee. This is a lot better than 192. What I don't understand they know hot flashes can be very crippling why didn't they offer me this a month ago? Finally found part 2: However when I get to the CVS again to pick up the prescription they told me that my primary insurance was still appearing. So, contacted the insurance company to see if what they were telling me was correct. The Insurance company told me it was showing up as cancelled. I called the number CVS gave me and it came up as showing only 1 insurance. I called CVS again to let them know and he said it was nothing he can do it was still showing up in there system as primary an insurance I no longer have. I needed called Medi-Cal, something I have never needed to do in the past. Very upset now, I played his game again I contacted Medi-Cal following the prompts which clearly says, I don't have any other current insurance. Apparently they don't take women issues serious enough. I should not have to be going back and forth like this. They need to get their act together. I have never been this upset. read more

Although the CVS store manager is incredibly efficient and helpful, it is not the case in the pharmacy. Jenny Tran and her staff are so rushed and dismissive and inefficient that they make errors. They have good sales also. 11/1/18 - I went in to print off some photos from a recent family trip. Brandon was very helpful and the self-serve machine was easy to use. JOHNATHAN THE PHARMACIST IS GREAT! I get monthly prescriptions at CVS, after giving up on Rite Aid, and couldn't be happier with the service. My prescriptions are always on time, even if my MD makes a mistake, which does happen. Johnathan knows what I need and goes the extra mile to sort things out to make sure I have my meds on time. My only suggestion would be that they need more parking, perhaps a better location as the seniors driving around are distracted, tend to drive huge cars, and are frankly a danger to the public! I needed to grab an over-the-counter ointment on my way back home so I stopped by this CVS. As soon as I walked in looking a bit lost (I had no idea where the ointment would be), I was offered help by a very caring and helpful staff member who showed me exactly where to find what I was looking for and asked whether I needed help with anything else. This is a great small CVS location. It does have a limited supply but still offers quite a few 'must have' items. My favorite is the very knowledgable makeup girl and the pharmacy. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes max for a prescription. Everyone here is very nice. Opens at 7:00 in morning and pharmacy at 8:00. Tucked away in the Eastbluff neighborhood by the Boys and Girls club and in the Ralph's shopping center. read more

I know understand why this store has lots of bad reviews. I went in the other day to redeem a raincheck since this store didn't have those specific sale items in stock before. I came in with a few coupons and due to the system not working properly, it wouldn't take my coupons. You would think that the employee would take it but no. Harvey was the assistant manager helping me and he did not do anything to try and accommodate for the error on their systems. He was very condescending, raising his voice to me multiple time and cutting me off while I was still talking. This is not how you treat customers! He also made up different excuses as to why my coupons wouldn't be accepted and finally I decided that it was a lost cause. It is possible that the other employees at this location are more courteous and helpful than Harvey, but if you do have him helping (for a lack of better word since he really did nothing to help me during my recent trip) you I would suggest just taking your business elsewhere or to another CVS location. this has become one of my favorite essentials shopping destinations, and it is mainly because of the DEALS. I am a big coupon cutter, and if you're like me, this is why you'll LOVE cvs. My only regret is that I wish I had discovered this sooner. Because CVS does this extra-bucks cash back program (basically they'll have thiese extra-bucks signs on certain sale items, and when you get your receipt for the day, you basically will get cvs barcodes for x amount off your next purchase). BUT the great thing about it, is that because they charge you full price at the time for the item (unless there aren't extra-buck specials, where they'll charge the sale price), you can use your coupons to save! ...not that you couldn't use your coupons to start with, but because they charge at the full price, you won't be limited on your maximum savings. Say for example, there is an item for $1.50. At most grocery stores, if something is on sale for $.75 and you have a coupon for a dollar, the most you can save is $.75. But at CVS, if there is a $.75 extra-buck saving, with your $1.00 coupon, you basically pay $.50 now, but get a voucher for $.75 cents later. (Basically, you save more). Also, visit their coupon center for your daily deal! I know that sounded really trivial and confusing, but when you're a starving college student, these small quantities add up. So why 4 stars instead of 5? two reasons: limited alcohol selection nonchalant staff that act like they don't want to be there PS: cell reception sucks. read more

The douchebag worker named Javier who appeared to be off the clock as he was shopping for personal items told the cashier I wasn't allowed to use my in-product coupon for my purchase. Don't micromanage, it's rude and pretentious! He was also parading around the shop with goodies he just paid for then proceeded to tell me he was still on the clock- don't go on the other side of the register if your on the clock and paying for your personal items if there are a line of customers. This pharmacy is fine if you only have a few medications that you don't require constantly. However, they have some ridiculous policies when it comes to getting an emergency supply of a medication. I've been told that only the pharmacist that refilled the prescription before could refill it and another told me I couldn't get an emergency supply of my migraine medication because they only did emergency supplies for blood pressure medications, which is just an outright lie because I've gotten emergency supplies of other meds before. Not only do they refuse to give you an emergency supply but they don't give you any options on what to do. It's a downright irresponsible medical practice. This pharmacy cares more about the particulars of policies than its patients. I will not be returning. read more

Teva manufacturer of the same medication I take doesn't work. Mylan brand does work. Two times in the past they fill it by Teva. They apologized in the past and said they will have it highlighted in the computer so no mistakes happen again. So they had to call my Doctor and get a new prescription even though he just prescribed it the day before and made me pay for it again since the package left the store. After being reassured it was documented in the computer to no longer worry. Well guess what? They just did the same damn thing again. I called the pharmacist and she said you can't go by notes the computer fills by itself. I asked why did you tell me not to worry going forward the last time this happened. She said things change constantly and she can't help that they don't see notes when filling all done by computer. (SCARRY) so now she has to call the Doctor again for a new prescription a day later and says I have to pay for it again. How lame can a company get. Their always higher than any other pharmacy I have dealt and used them due to location only. Yes like others say they are rude and inconsiderate as you can get! read more
