My dermatologist Eric Sorenson recommended this pharmacy(which you can pick up your meds or they will mail priority), I have always had them mail so I have never actually been in the store. I have been using CDM for several years and they are awesome. SUNNY, has helped me with all of my prescriptions and always gets me the BEST price on all of my prescriptions. The owner of the pharmacy is very rude ! Good luck to get any information out of her about your prescription. By law the pharmacy is required to give you all the information about your prescription and provide consultation if you need one! She doesn't seem to care what Country she is running the business at. We came here for a PCR COVID test and Adel kindly greeted us as we turned into the parking lot. He was extremely friendly and gave us clear instructions on how to do the test in the car. My 75 year old mother said that he was "so nice and gave us such good instructions that it was easy". We heard horror stories from people who got tested so we were so surprised to be in and out of there within 5 minutes (literally). Make sure Adel is there if you're taking an elderly parent because he takes his time in making sure they understand exactly what they have to do and how to do it. read more

Although making an appointment was simple and quick, getting the test done was not so much. There are no signs to instruct you what to do or where to park. The girl on the phone was rude and sounded annoyed that i called to ask for clarification on whether I was in the correct area. The employee handing the test out is working alone and running around the entire parking lot. I had a scheduled time for the test but was basically treated as first come first serve, and even then was helped after people who got there later than I did. I also work in healthcare so I empathize but both people I interacted with were rude and clearly frustrated. This place could do a lot of small things to make this process easier for their staff and the people coming to get tested. read more

We had a rapid COVID test here and the whole experience was pretty painless. It was easy to make an appointment, the testing was safe and easy (tech, Adel, did an incredible job- the swap was quick and he was very kind). Their pricing was also pretty competitive (another location in Newport was 2x the price for the same test). I highly recommend this location. read more

Came for a covid test for my young child and they could not have been more supportive and helpful. My child was VERY afraid of the swab going in her nose and the med tech helped talk her through the steps to do it herself which made her feel much calmer and more in control during an out of control situation. It really does take a lot for me to leave a bad review, and I will start by saying that most of the staff here are very sweet and kind. However, that is absolutely not the case with their manager. As a front office medical professional myself, I was absolutely appalled with her lack of professionalism, to the point where I acted a bit out of character myself out of pure shock. She has no qualms about talking over you when you attempt to correct her, she is condescending at best and has no issue flaunting that she is doing well enough during a pandemic to where she does not need your business and that you can go elsewhere. After returning because my prescription had been filled incorrectly the first time and having had her argue with me about it, being scoffed at and told my insurance would not cover my prescription (mind you I had already made it clear I would pay out of pocket if that was the case), and having my prescription sent to an address where I no longer live even though she made a huge point of showing they have the correct address on file (hello HIPAA violation), and continuing to talk over me, I asked to have my prescription transferred to another pharmacy, and had to raise my voice to be heard over her. When I advised I would wait until she had done so as I did not trust her to take care of it in a timely fashion, she threatened to call the police on me. (As I was leaving, three separate people said that her actions were completely uncalled for.) After calling another pharmacy myself and my doctor's office to make circumvent this woman and make sure everything was transferred elsewhere, I learned that the other pharmacy, my doctor's office, and even my surgeon have heard many, many complaints about her. If you have no issues dealing with a condescending snob and feel free to go to this pharmacy. If you would like to be treated with any kind of competency or compassion I suggest going elsewhere. Was I mad? You bet, but how do you expect people to be when you behave like a complete elitist? Oh, and to add to that, they are unnecessarily expensive. I am now getting my medications elsewhere, with better service and for far less than what I was charged at CDM Drugs. read more

I have been going through a really extensive time with my lung at the moment. I do not feel well at all and on top of it, this place gave me the worst customer experience I HAVE EVER HAD. The owner/pharmacist woman that answered the phone should be reported to the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics. She YELLED at me and hung up the phone. The problem is, this is the only pharmacist that sells the syringe that I need for my medical issue. She is refusing me service. Once I threatened to report her, she called back and apologized. The owner of this pharmacy (( I believe her name is (ELL) is the most rudest pharmacist and disrespectful business owner I've ever met. She treats her customers as if she is doing a favor for them. I have had a few situations over the past year or so where I was taken back with her nastiness...but the last incident was the final straw. There was some difficulty with an insurance card that needed to be updated with the insurance carrier but a new card was not sent yet. All she needed to do was contact the Anthem Blue Cross to learn it was all up to date. When I began to explain I would come back in an hour after an appointment she rudely interrupted me to be quiet and not be stressed in her store. I said mam, I'm just saying that I can come back later after you verify that the insurance is valid. When I left, I called the Doctors office to ask for them to just call it into Rite Aid instead. The nurse, Carol at the Doctors office said that the owner was also very nasty to her on the phone and she had never been talked to by such a did respectful pharmacist/owner. I highly recommend to steer clear of this business. I am all for supporting smaller businesses in the community which is why I went there to begin with. However, when they treat their customers in such a horrible rude way they are not deserving of the business. read more

CDM Drugs is my neighborhood pharmacy. A gem. Here, you'll find the friendliest staff, that always have smiles on their faces. Also, there is never a wait. NO WAITING. We are traveling abroad and needed last minute vaccinations (yes because I too believe in actual science and actual Tetanus, no thanks...I'll take the shot). Laleh, was very knowledgable yesterday, immediately took out her chart, asked for a brief history and I got stuck... with a needle... to prevent the Tdap and flu shots. Totally covered by insurance. Laleh did an excellent job at that, no blood, no pain. I didn't know that I could walk into a pharmacy and get shots, immediately, without even having to make a reservation or an appointment. I was even more surprised to see that by the time I was done, there was already a young girl who had been watching me and seemed not so scared and ready to go and happy to do her shots as welI. That's the effect that the friendly staff and clean, modern environment at CDM know that I can walk into a pharmacy and get shots, immediately, without even having to make a reservation or an appointment. Lana Perkins just now I came to pick up my prescription numbing cream that was compounded by the pharmacy. I was given the cream but there were no ingredients listed. I asked the pharmacy person about the list of ingredients because I am allergic to some preservatives that are used in some creams and cosmetic products. The person couldn't give it to me and called I believe the Lady that is the "owner"of this pharmacy. She refused to give me the list of ingredients even after I told her that I need to know because I am allergic to some ingredients. I said that I believe it's a law to list the ingredients because of the allergies issues. She was very rude and said if I don't like it to go somewhere else. She said that The ingredients are proprietary and she is not gonna disclose what they are. I couldn't understand why. I told her I have no intentions to make a numbing cream and I believe it's FDA requirement to list both active and inactive ingredients. I couldn't not believe how rude this Lady was. This is United States and this is a pharmacy where people should feel safe to be able to use what they are prescribed . I had to report this pharmacy for bad business practices. Would not recommend to go there. Take your business somewhere else. I am so upset especially knowing They charged me whopping $80 for a tiny jar of numbing cream. Complete rip off! I was extremely impressed at how they handle their Covid testing. While we are experiencing a post holiday surge, it is extremely difficult to get a Covid test without a long wait and usually a couple of days advance scheduling. I tried several places. Eastbluff Urgent Care has people standing in the rain waiting for Covid tests (not in their cars). This is for a rapid test that is approximately 75% accurate. The line was approximately 1 hr long. Marque is a little better, but they are roughly 45 minutes behind schedule and you must have a virtual nurse appointment. You cannot get in line until you have this appointment. I did not get a call until 45 minutes after my appointment time. This is not a repid test. Rapid tests are $60 with insurance. CDM Drugs, scheduled my appointment for the next day. I was in/out in 5 minutes. No wait, no line, no prescreening. Great friendly service, free! This is not a rapid test. Results in a couple of days via email. read more

The Indian lady (she refused to give her name because she did not want to be named she had some type of Indian sounding accent) answering the phone was so disrespectful and rude and hung up the phone and me two times she should be fired. I've never experienced such awful customer service. I was calling to see if a my prescription would be in stock she mocked me and did not let me speak or ask any questions and kept slamming the phone and I called and asked to speak to another person and she refused to and hung up the phone. I really hope the head of the store sees this and contacts me the phone calls are all recorded.
