This is where I get my prescriptions filled and also when I get my monthly money I put it on a seperate card so I can use it easier. I was having a dilemma with getting the money onto my card and the worker that was at the register was AMAZING!!!! Her name was Eliza. It's not the first time this young lady has taken care of me. She thoughtful, caring and extremely helpful. If you store has an employee of the month she should definitely get it...also a bonus and raise in pay. I've heard her helping other people too. CVS is constantly boasting how they can walk in for flu shots so my wife and I did just that before she travels. I was told at the counter that they didn't have enough staff to do a flu vaccine for us tonight but that I could certainly make an appointment online for another day. They had five people working, which is four more than they usually have But apparently that's not enough staff. As I was told this, the woman behind me, walked up with an appointment for a flu shot, and was told that someone would be right out to give it to her...... I've been with CVS for a number of years, maybe 20 or so, and I am at the point where I am probably going to try another pharmacy. It's gone down hill really bad. They've switched out the realiable staff for a bunch of younger people who obviously can't run a pharmacy. When my meds are ready for refill, they fill a couple and cancel the rest. I have to call and go on the app to reorder what I should have. I used to pick them up at one time, now I have to do multple trips to the pharmacy as well as multiple calls and reorders to get them filled once. What ever happened to auto refill and scriptsync? The worst pharmacy I have been a customer of in my adult life.(Senior Citizen) The customer prescription portal has never recognized my date of birth despite repeated attempts to fix it, The phone system for the pharmacy is never answered and the wait time to pick up a ready prescription can be as long as 45 minutes. Consistent and ongoing issues: Prescriptions appear as "in process" for multiple days, hold time if you call is more than 30 minutes (and then you'll get accidentally hung up on and have to call back), and wait times in line are excessive. I requested refill through text and the website multiple times and it was ignored, so I called and they said they'll refill it and deliver it yet somehow I still don't have my prescription and haven't for at least a week now, they sent me links that did not work. I check the status and it's been "in process" for over a week. There's always an issue every time I get my prescription, I'm definitely transferring back to Walgreens, they were WAY better and handled everything way more smoothly and never lied to me about when I can pickup. The WORST and most incompetent pharmacy in Fairfield County. Avoid unless you want a headache every time you have to pick up a prescription. I have visited this CVS three times in the last month and on every. single. occasion I have had a negative experience. There is an associate there (long hair, glasses, he may even be the manager) who seems to go out of his way to be unhelpful. Even though he clearly sees me waiting at the counter for assistance, he can't be bothered to turn around. During my most recent visit, he ignored me as usual. Then, after two minutes of waiting, he helped a woman who arrived AFTER me. After she had left and I said, "Excuse me? Could I please have some assistance?" he responded "just a minute" without turning around. I tried to give this CVS a chance, but I'll be taking my business to Walgreen's from now on. read more

I went to Urgent Care at 5 and had a prescription sent to CVS in Newtown by 6pm. My husband went there to pick it up and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. He waited in the parking lot and went back in at 6:30 to get back in line. He was second in line behind a woman holding her very sick baby, at 8pm when they abrubptly closed the pharmacy. There was zero communication that this might happen or about other stores open later or less busy. I work in a school and, as often happens, if one of my students is in crisis or misses the bus, I stay late. If for some reason I absolutely am unable to stay, I communicate with the family and ensure that the child is safe and cared for. I keep thinking about that poor woman with her sick baby- what if she needed medication for a nebulizer because he couldn't breathe? What if he had to be hospitalized because CVS employees didn't care. I am shocked that CVS can treat people's health with so little regard. read more

I have been very fortunate with my experience at this CVS, unlike the one in Bethel on Durant avenue. The staff is always helpful and cheerful. And they seem to stock whatever I wander in to buy. The only gripe I have is the high prices. For some reason, I find that the cvs prices at this location seem to be pricier than the cvs in bethel or Danbury, where I always seem to find better deals! I've been a CVS customer for some years now and lately they've really started going down hill. When they started the drive up window, I thought "good, now I don't have to even get out of the car". But now going to the drive up window means a long wait. The last time I picked up my meds, they spent more than 12 minutes with just one car, way to long a time for just one customer. The lines seem to get long and move slower than ever. Today I went up to get some meds and got into line. Again slow lines at the drive-up, and to add to that, they now close for a lunch break in the middle of the day. ( has nobody told them that they can split their lunch break so they can have someone on the counter/drive-up and not have to close?) And I never recognize the person at the drive up window any more, seems like different people now all the time. I'm getting ready to go to a different pharmacy all together. read more

I cannot believe the poor customer service and attitude here. Why do you take vaccine appointments and then make elderly patients wait so long? Took my mom for a covid vaccine. Sure they were busy, but we had a appointment. There were 3 elderly people all with canes and one chair to wait seated. Forty five minutes two of these old people had to wait for a shot while standing because the three people waiting on the pharmacy customers chose to wait on them first. Those seemed able bodied and had no appointment to pick up scripts. Wtf you make people over 80 years old in poor health who had appointments wait 45 minutes? Then I told the woman at the front of the store who seemed to be in charge that there were elderly people waiting almost an hour for shots. She barked at me "WE'RE AWARE! Literally the worst pharmacy in town. I'm taking my business to the Walgreens up the road. Pharmacy cashiers are always confused about everything. It would be hilarious if it wasn't a presciption I needed. The pharmacy techs are all jaded and particularly moody. My prescriptions are always getting "lost" or they can't fill something, or it wasn't called in...or whoops, we sent you the text it was ready but it isnt. Clearly this isn't any way to run a business. I was using this cvs pharmacy for convience, bit willing to drive the extra difference for service that isn't questionable, chaotic, confused and disatrous.
