I'll preface this review by acknowledging that going to any pharmacy is an annoying experience. You don't want to be there. They don't want to be there but at least they are being paid. The 'alert' system in place at Target does not work. Sometimes your prescriptions have been filled, other times not. Sometimes, like today for instance, you call and ask if the prescription has been filled and they say it has been and its not. Well to be fair, I called to see if the drugs, which they didn't carry had arrived and the women said it had. Then I show up five hours later and it still hadn't been filled. So what should take ten minutes took 45min. In fact I'm waiting right now. And waiting. And waiting. There are at least polite which is the reason for the second star. Apparently I am not the only victim today , there is a 6 year old girl with her mom and siblings crying next to me because they have been waiting longer than I and she is hungry. Now it is 5 minutes later..and the older sister and her brother are racing each other up and down the aisle. 3 minutes later..Now they are yelling at each other. I want to just get on the freeway so I can wait gridlock in my car to get home. 5 minutes later. Home feels a universe away. 1 minute....DRUGS!!! Target Pharmacy. BY FAR the most attentive and thorough Pharmacy I have ever used. The people here are VERY knowledgeable and caring. They have always answered all my questions and make sure to follow up with me later on my meds. This target never has enough cashiers during the daytime. Lots of employees on floor but only two cashiers. If one of those two cashiers has an issue then there's one left. Can't you call on someone when you see the line is 5-7 deep. read more

Have always been a huge fan of Target! Its one of my favorite places to shop but now it's even better because they have a product that CHANGED MY LIFE!!! Literally 6 months ago, while on a trip to visit some friend in NYC, we were shopping and walking around all of the city (as most peeps do) and I told her I wanted to grab a coffee to give me a jolt. To my surprise she recommended something called "Life Juice." At first I was like, "what's that?" We dropped by a ShopRite and bought some... AND WOW! Not only was it delicious I felt a energy boost like NO OTHER!!! Ever since I came back to LA, I've been searching for them! They come in several flavors but they also have JUICE CLEANSES TOO!!! This place is absolutely the WORST place to come to! After being a customer for years I've had to deal with SO many ridiculous instances with them. To them giving my prescriptions to other people because I hadn't picked them up in 24 hours (what?!) to today being the last straw.. Them messing up my prescription for birth control that I need for tomorrow, and won't be able to get another prescription till Monday as my doctors office is closed. But even besides the mess ups, they are the most rude and patronizing staff I've ever dealt with. NO customer service. And the pharmacist, Clyde is even worse than his miserable staff! Seriously THE WORST pharmacy. I've had maybe two decent experiences with them, they claim they usually fax RX refill requests to doctors and wait a few days for a response; well when my doctor says they've faxed it back, several times, and you still haven't received it, there's an issue. This is medication that keeps me from passing out, having a seizure, etc and as of today, I have been OUT of medication for six days. No compassion from the male pharmacist I spoke with this morning either, trying to turn it around on me and my doctors office after I ASKED, TWICE (Monday and yesterday) for them to pick up the phone, call my doctor and get an approval over the phone; it wasn't done. Woman yesterday also said in a nasty tone "well your doctors office can always call us". Um, yeah, because my one doctor who's seeing 50 patients a day has the spare moment to talk one on one with you. Thanks Target, as soon as you fill this round of my RX I'm out. I just don't get how hard it is to look through your faxes, call when a customer asks, etc. read more

Just got to give the Target CVS team a big thanks! They are always friendly even when they are clearly busy! Today was no different when I went to get my prescription filled. Brittany told me that they were having a problem with getting my medication in from the manufacturer so she searched some other CVS stores and was unable to get it there either. My medication is a generic so she checked the name brand and they can get that one for me in time. They don't normally order this medication in but she told me she would so I don't run out. I can't chance that my doctor will not have it come Monday. Yes I have to pay more but Brittany handled the situation well and took the time to make sure my health was priority number one! No wonder the rating is terrible. The female employee at the pharmacy located within target, is a lazy bum. Her responsibility is to call insurance in order to process payment through insurance. However, due to her laziness, she imposes that burden and responsibility on the patient. This was my first time dealing with a pharmacy who would not take care of their patient. The other CVS' ive dearth with, including the one across the street is respectful, take care of their patients/customers. She was beyond rude, aggressive, and derogatory. And the new Indian girl is soooooo fresh out of school that she didn't know what she was doing and had me wait on medicine for 40 mins only to tell me they don't have enough and then when I asked her to give a partial fill Clyde then asked "why?" Hmmmmm Clyde maybe because I waited 40 mins and wanted to leave with something to be able to take my medicine. Which by the way is for anxiety but if you were any good at your job you would no that and not ask why a patient needs their medicine! Never again will I go to that target pharmacy. Brittany truly knows how to deal with customers the PROPER way. She is a very friendly and genuine person who knows how to talk to customers and satisfy them. Even if she is busy she will try and help out as much as she can. She's polite and respectful and because of that i would keep coming back to this pharmacy to check out items or get my dad's prescription meds lol I think she would be perfect talking to customers all day because she is so nice and friendly and she wouldn't have a problem with it unlike some people. Her employees are also very nice but brittany is much more genuine and honest. I used to go to the Target Pharmacy at Santa Monica and La Brea until I moved to the Valley. Once in the Valley I went to the pharmacy nearest my home - the staff were miserable, I don't think they'd smile if you paid them, the pharmacist was a bitch, there was always an inexcusable wait. So I went to the Target on Victory Blvd - best decision ever! The staff are so helpful - took time to heck different prices available under my insurance - really, went out of their way. The head Pharmacist has been treating me with no respect or courtesy. It's been 2 years and when I bring in my written prescription to be filled ASAP she always tells the counter person that it will take 3 days or more full well knowing I can't miss a dose. I now use MCP pharmacy in the building right behind them for all my meds. That night it was after six so MCP was closed and Target/ CVS refused to help. Shelly is the kindest pharmacist I've ever dealt with. My doctor was refusing to change my prescription after I had a terrible reaction to it because the woman from CVS was 'rude'. In desperation, I called Target's pharmacy and got Shelly. She was kind, way more informative than my doctor (letting me know other options etc) AND in thirty minutes she had a new prescription for me. This is like a pretend pharmacy, they don't stock anything and won't get it for you. One time I had a brace on my leg from my ankle to my thigh and my sister had dropped off my prescription and two days later when I called to find out if it was ready they said oh we can't fill it but you can come and pick up the prescription. I endured 2 days on Moutrin in PAIN and they didn't even call me an say they couldn't fill it. read more

This pharmacy (and other Target pharmacies I have been to) never has any medicine that I have needed in stock--one time I was able to fill a prescription here but after that, literally never--so that I have ceased to think of it as a pharmacy option at all. They are also not very nice or competent at this one. I love Target in general and it would sure be nice to be able to get prescriptions filled while I shop, but it's just not an option, unfortunately. As other reviewers have said here, CVS and Rite Aid are much nicer and more efficient options and BTW, cheaper on the medicine I did fill there. Other family members have occasionally managed to fill prescriptions there and also said it was more expensive than elsewhere, so really I see no reason to waste time trying to fill a prescription here. I love this Target and this was my first time going to their CVS pharmacy. Completely disappointed. I came in for a flu shot around 15 mins before closing on a weekend. However I waited for 10+ minutes in line. When it was finally my turn, the associate took ANOTHER customer before me even though I was there first and waiting patiently. I asked nicely if someone else could help me with a flu shot and was rudely turned down at the register, saying they were closing in 5 mins and couldn't do it. Complete bull. The associate wasn't even apologetic. He told me it would take a while to "process" it - however I'm already a CVS customer so all of my info should already be there. It would be different if I showed up 5 mins before closing but I had been in line for almost FIFTEEN minutes. I feel like he could've just been nicer about it. I ended up walking to the CVS across the street and thankfully they were amazing and so helpful. read more

It's actually crazy how awesome these people are. I come here once a month to refill my prescription and after the FIRST refill, they knew me by name. They always seem happy to see me and work very hard to get you in and out of there as quickly as possible. These have to be the NICEST, friendliest, most customer service oriented people in the valley; which is a HUGE bonus for a pharmacy staff as so often you're waiting at the counter sick as a dog. Speaking of dogs, they always go out of their way to pet my puppy when we visit...which is very cool. The only drawback is Target doesn't recycle which is a shame as they create a TON of paper and plastic waste. But I've mentioned it several times to the folks behind the counter and they're actually trying to get that changed....which I think is fantastic. read more

Tis is by far the WORST pharmacy and customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. They never know what is going on and every single time I have had to refill my prescription there has been a problem on their end. They gave me the worst customer service when I was there in person and stared at me with a death stare and didnt even say hello. I've had to wait every single time to get my prescription and last time I received it. The pharmacist gave me the wrong dosage! I had to go back and tell him they made a mistake, then they blamed me. Now this time they told me that they would send a request to my doctor to fill my prescription and it has been 5 days since they told me that and I called me dr. And the office said the the pharmacy never sent the request. So for the past 5 days i have been waiting and NOTHING was sent over to my dr. they lied, they are so ignorant and have no care for their patients. I have called twice to try to get this fixed and nobody knows what to do! They also have rejected my insurance card randomly for no reason, even though I have been going there for a year. Overall do NOT trust this pharmacy and get ready to deal with incompetent idiots. read more
