I was shopping at this CVS and needed to use the restroom. I asked an employee if there was a bathroom or a code, and she walked toward the back, which led me to believe there was one available. There wasn't. I continued shopping, but eventually had to step out briefly to use the restroom at Ralph's. When I returned, all of my items had been removed, and I had to start my shopping over from scratch. This added a lot of unnecessary time and frustration. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Clear communication and better customer consideration would have made a big difference. I wouldn't recommend this location. They could have admitted "Yes, i apologize.." would have been more polite. I came to this location to pick up a prescription. Upon arrival, they told me to return in 15 minutes. That's normal of course. When I returned, they gave me an incomplete prescription with only 1 of 2 medications without informing me at all. I only noticed because I opened the bag and saw my inhaler missing. After they looked at my prescription twice, I don't understand why I was not informed sooner that the item was out of stock. Not very professional. If 0 stars was an option, I would select that as even 1 star is too much for this rabble of a pharmacy. My rating is specifically for the pharmacy section of this CVS as I haven't dealt too much with the main retail store of this branch. The pharmacy in this CVS branch is poorly run and managed. The staff is either incompetent or just plain rude. They are slow to order and receive prescription items. There is always a long line at the prescription pick up desk and service is consistently slow. That and they get your order wrong. I gather this is probably a family-run pharmacy branch as many of the pharmacists behind the counter appear to be related and from the same mismatched & apparently lacking gene pool. I didn't gather their names but the senior pharmacist is rude, answers the phone rudely and abruptly and appears to have a "couldn't care less" attitude about everything - even your urgent medical prescriptions. Wait... isn't that the primary role of a pharmacist?? They got my prescription amount wrong, the correct order of which came directly from my specialist. I then get told by them that my insurance won't cover this prescription measure. After trying to call them directly to straighten this out, and being rudely hung up on, I decided I had to go in in-person to clear up the confusion. They misread 200 mg as 2,000 mg. I took one look at one of the other cock-eyed pharmacists there and realized why they were reading it incorrectly. And of course I had to wait 20 minutes plus in line to get to the counter to speak to them. A huge time drain which wouldn't have been necessary with pretty much any other decent pharmacist. Save yourself the hassles and go somewhere else for your pharmaceutical needs! read more

When I say this is the most racist CVS I have ever been to. If you are black, do not come here‼‼‼‼‼ Not only do they act as if they cannot do their job, but I literally sat on the phone calling them for the past hour, so that I could make sure that my prescription was ready because I just had surgery. I am in severe pain and they have my anxiety medication. I've been trying to get the prescription for the past 48 hours. Not only do they not answer the phone, but I literally spoke with 3 representatives who refused to walk to the back of the store and tell the pharmacy to answer the phone. Like wtf!!!!!???? YOU'RE AT WORK TO WORK!!!! She also got on the phone and said that, the pharmacy is having an issue with their new AI system, which is causing customers to have to leave a voicemail instead of speaking to them when they call. I asked to speak with the store manager and they refused to let me speak to the store manager. I talked to somebody who said he was a supervisor, who literally went and spoke to them and refused to let me speak to them over the phone and told me that I had to hang up talking with him to go leave a voicemail for them to call me back when I told him I was already 20 minutes away from the store, trying to come get my prescription so I can have my medication. If I don't have my medication I will literally start having seizures, heart attacks, etc.. When I say these people are the laziest, most discriminatory people I have ever met at a CVS. I hate the Burbank area because all of these Middle Eastern people think that they are so much better than everyone else and could care less about anyone but themselves. It is very blatant in the way that they treat you, speak to you, and handle you in all of their store interactions. This is the third or fourth time I picked up prescriptions from this place and had a problem. There is literally NO other CVS that I have had a problem with like this in my entire life. I don't usually review stores because I do prefer writing about dining experiences. Sometimes I would review newly opened stores just to make people aware. There are also quite a few that I have written when the shortcomings are too many to simply ignore. This store is one of the latter. I have to agree with most of the reviewers in saying that the actual store is pretty good. However, the pharmacy department is horrible. I simply despise, loathe and dread coming here but I still do because it's the one closest to where I live. Rite Aid and Walgreens are a bit farther. CVS is also next to Ralph's where I do my grocery shopping. I have been a customer for 11 years but none of the visits here was a pleasure. There was a time when the pharmacy manager made us wait for a flu vaccine only to be told after 90 minutes that they were actually out. There were also multiple occasions that prescriptions were sent directly by the doctor but told they didn't receive it. Many occasions that they promised a pick up time but never fulfilled. Today I was sent by mom to pick up a bunion splint. I searched but I didn't find any so I asked someone in the pharmacy. The lady didn't even know what a bunion is. I don't work in health industry but I know for a very long time what's a bunion. I think this lady didn't learn this from whatever medical school she went to. I can go on and on but if I do, I will end up writing a book. Instead of doing that, I should consider driving a bit farther to try other pharmacies. read more

She seemed bothered to be working there and helping me out at self check out. She then made some passive aggressive comments regarding my transaction. She also regarded me as a previous troublesome customer and then had me communicate to the manager. This is absolutely the worst CVS I have ever been to. I've given them multiple chances in hopes that the bad experiences were just a one time thing. They weren't. This pharmacy is horrendous. Let's go over the mess ups I've encountered, shall we? 1. They refused to give my husband (a type one diabetic) a covid booster because the pharmacist claimed it's only for immune compromised people. Uhh... diabetes is an AUTOIMMUNE CONDITION. It's literally an immune compromising disease. They refused to let him get his booster. So we went to Ralph's instead. 2. They gave me the WRONG medication. This wasn't just a different brand. It was a completely wrong medication. I was there to get some fertility meds. They gave me blood pressure medication. I called and the pharmacy person was rude. They told me to come in and show them. I drove back over and the lady saw the medication bottle (they gave me the entire bottle, not a counted out amount in an orange rx bottle) and the rx label were totally different. She was shocked and said that it scans as the medication on the rx label. So I guess READING THE BOTTLE AND CHECKING IT AGAINT THE LABEL, like all trained pharmacists are supposed to do, doesn't apply to this CVS. 3. I called to ask if they had a certain medication my dr had prescribed because my dr had said I had to start it the same day. It's very time sensitive. The pharmacist who answered was SO RUDE. She griped to me that she was busy and it would take too much of her time to look up the medication and see if they had it in stock. She told me to call a 24 hour CVS instead. Worst customer service ever! Went in and bought a bunch of stuff. Stopped by the automatic scratchers machine by the front door to get some tickets for a gift to my mom. Put in $20 and got 4 half tickets. Went to the register to inform them of the problem. A young woman at the register with long black hair and thick makeup tells me that there's nothing she can do. She says all I need to do is scratch the barcode and see if it won. I said I'm not giving a broken ticket as a gift. She says she can keep the tickets there and let the "lotto guy" know what's going on. He can then call me sometime within the next week to give me 4 new tickets. Sometime within the next week?! Are you kidding me? First of all you don't even get that the tickets are not suppose to come out this way. How can you play half of two different tickets? And second, why the hell would I trust your word that you'll follow through with what you're telling me? I swear these millennials are so clueless!
