My senior mother has been filling her prescriptions at this Walgreens for years and, since my father passed away a couple months ago, I decided to let her continue doing that even though I personally use Publix pharmacy and we already started to see issues with getting prescriptions filled at Walgreens bc the entire pharmacy department shuts down for lunch every day - even if you ran out to pick up the prescriptions on your lunch break. At 8 am today after an urgent care visit for my mother, we went directly to the drive thru at this Walgreens to see how long it would take to get her antibiotic. The woman at the drive thru, Nicole, told me it would be 30 minutes so I needed to either come back or I could come in and wait. I said I'd like to wait right there if I could but that I would absolutely pull around if a car came behind me (bc they were empty at this early hour). She raised her voice over the loudspeaker and told me that I could NOT block her drive thru and that I would HAVE to leave. I tried to explain that I would never block the drive thru and, of course, I would drive back around again if another car came behind me but she kept yelling so I drove around to park, leaving my mother in the car so I could go inside. I then waited on line and the man at the cashier told me it would be 30 minutes but that I could wait (Nicole hightailed it when I went inside). I said I didn't mind waiting - they have a good-sized waiting area with some chairs along side the one wall. I never choose to sit in chairs and preferred to walk in the large area instead since it's easier on my back. There was only one customer at the register at this point. Then, a gentlemen walked up to the line and asked if I was in line - I told him no and that he could go right up behind the next customer - which he did, easily. The male cashier (bald gentleman with glasses) proceeded to tell me loudly that I needed to sit down to wait and to stop harassing his customers. Literally the only words I said to a customer was that I wasn't on line and that he could get on line and I was 10+ feet away from the cashier. I told him I didn't appreciate being treated disrespectfully when I chose to wait standing up and, at that point, he started yelling that I was loitering, hovering and that I was the one being disrespectful. The entire 30+ min I was there, only 2 customers came through and both of them had 10+ feet to be able to get on line and buy their products - it had nothing to do with customers and everything to do with the fact that I wasn't a good little soldier sitting down and not bothering them until they called me. There were no signs saying that standing customers would get treated like garbage - or "no sitting, no service" - so there was no way to set yourself up for this expectation. I'll add that the dr. ended up sending the wrong prescription that we noticed when I got back to the car so we called the office up and asked them to send the new prescription over to Publix Pharmacy. My mom was worried they wouldn't take her insurance or that they wouldn't have her prescription. I pulled up to Publix Pharmacy drive thru 5 min after the prescription was put in. I gave them all of my mother's insurance information and they said it would probably be about 20 min. I asked if it was OK if I just waited in the drive thru and that I could pull around if another car came behind me and they replied, "Of course!" Less than 10 min later, the cashier came back over with the filled prescription and had it already run through my mother's insurance. What a difference changing pharmacies can make. Don't subject yourself to being treated sub-human. Go to another pharmacy - it's the same prescriptions with 1,000% better service!!!

Pharmacy is horrible!!!!! their phones don't work when you're trying to call in your…read moreprescriptions. You asked to speak to somebody in the pharmacy I have driven 15 miles and went through the line of cars and was still on hold when I got up to the window and also my boyfriend was on the other line on hold and we both pulled up to the window and showed him how we're both on hold for that. Why don't anybody answer the damn phones. It took us a half hour to drive up there in traffic. The telephone to talk to the automated machine to order your prescriptions. It can't understand you. I tried to type it in my prescription numbers and tried to call them out to the machine. It kept saying we can't understand you. I'm sorry we don't understand you. And a person would not answer the phone. I called 15 times. you can be on hold and after so many minutes it just disconnects you. So I can't order my prescriptions. Also, my insurance and I did a three walkway call to Walgreens pharmacy and speak to the manager, because the manager was telling me that I was not allowed to have auto refill. My insurance said yes she is. I am her insurance. We are not blocking her. We allow her to have auto refill.. They never will do it. Walgreens can't figure it out. They used to do it. So then my insurance called them and asked them to put me on where are you can get all your meds on the same day for the whole month. That would save a lot of trouble. Walgreens apologized and said they're computerized. System is not working right and is not doing it for me. I told them give me the number for the IT department they said. that they don't have one. They don't have a number. He said since you have so much trouble with our company. This is a manager of Walgreens named Stefan. At 6015 Southwest 200 Ocala FL 34476. Stefan suggested I may as well go to a different pharmacy cause their company. is closing 3000 stores and they don't care anymore they can't get IT help at their store and they don't care about who stays or who goes or about their customers. Can you believe that!? They flat told me that they don't care about their customers, and I may as well move along to another pharmacy he suggested. Now Stefon was trying to help me, but he was just saying I've got other people to attend to here. He says I'm sorry the phones don't work and the computers don't work for you ma'am, but I would just go to another store another company because Walgreens is bleeding out money and they're not gonna put it into our IT system to fix the phones or fix the computers. Good luck if you go to Walgreens. If there was a lower star rating here below zero, that's what I would put. When I called while they were at lunch in the pharmacy asked to speak to the store manager, she said she's too busy with running the cash register. She can't talk to people on the phone and they are out to lunch call back later, I said I just have to report that their phone system is not working. I don't know if you handle that or they do but the pharmacies phone system is really messed up they can't understand me even when I type things in I tried to give it my my birthday by typing and by speaking, and it kept repeating a different birthday back to me. And then just a small noise form background like sitting down my coffee cup messed up the machine from it speech and sent it back to the beginning of the conversation , how can I help you today? Blah blah blah I'd like to order a prescription OK give me your prescription number or give me your birthdate, and every time I try to type it in or speak, it would act like something was cutting off its words, as if somebody was interrupting it, but there was no noise in my background. Walgreens, customer, service and computer system, even though I'm talking to my insurance company trying to get problem straightened out would not cooperate on Walgreens's end. They blamed it on the computer system or their IT department. They said they're going out of business soon closing stores everywhere, and I don't care anymore and they're not gonna put money into fixing anything. So I guess I have to find a new pharmacy. I have never had a company employees tell me that they don't care about their people before like today with Stefan. In Ocala Florida on State Road 200 and 60th Ave. nobody would try to resolve any problems, they wouldn't give me a number for their upper management or an IT department

A brand new huge all purpose Walgreens in Ocala and I love it!…read more This is the largest Walgreens in Ocala and has optimized the space large space it has. Everything is bright and streamlined with wide aisles. If you can't find what you're looking for at you neighborhood store I'm pretty sure you'll find it here. There are 3 new self serve computers in the photos area. It's so streamlined that there's not even a need for a counter in the department. he choices of frozen food are extended. The cosmetic department is simply amazing also with every brand you need and a wonderful cosmetic girl that knows everything. Very few Walgreens still have that small liquor store attached but this one has a huge liquor store next door and they carry nearly everything you need. The employee that works there has 20 years experience so she can tell you all about the brands. When this store opened, the store on 17 St. & SR20 closed down so the employees from both those stores were transferred here!!! The only downside is the car entrance and exit. It's on a main road that's always congested so be patient of each other when trying to pull out onto that road.
