Though it is the pharmacy that is farthest from my residence, and despite the fact that there are stocking issues and price issues, I go there because of the coupons and rewards for Extracare Savings members. This only CVS stand alone store in Oshkosh for the most part has polite, helpful respectful store assistants and a male manager who always tried to help when this customer needed and asked. Also the pharmacy staff are great and very helpful and knwoledgeable. However there is one female (Assistant? 'Day manager'?) who appears to have some kind of personal vendetta that came through in the way she treats me when I am there. The last straw was today when she refused to hand me the online order that I received notification to pick up at the store. As the email suggested, I took a copy (on my phone) of that email that had my first name and order number and showed her the email message. She asked for my name (lengthy and hard to pronounce for most), and I asked 'does the message not show my name?'. She ignored it and sternly asked 'what is your name'? I refused to tell her my name (as I said, the email message had my first name and the order number which is what I was urged in the e-message to show the store assistant) as I felt she was harassing me forcing me like the previous time to follow a non-existent rule. She refused to hand me my products for which I had already paid online. There was no other staff in the store. Now I have to either go to the store again when she is not there to pick it up (or follow her 'order') or see if I can cancel and get a refund. If after she found my products based on the first name and order number, if she wanted to see my ID, I would have no problem, because then I would see it as her making sure that it went to the right person. When a company messes up, they need to fix it. I had a pretty inconvenient and frustrating purchase. I have the manager the details and he stepped up and got it done. I needed medications in a hurry my usual pharmacy was out(as usual) so I switched my prescription to CVS. the staff was wonderful and expedited the order. I have since switched all of my prescriptions here. read more

If you want a quick shopping trip, this is not the CVS for you. They always seem understaffed and when I saw there was no on at the check out, I went to the pharmacy, they told me to go back the checkout and wait, but I was literally the only customer in the store. When I couldn't find something I was looking for in the pharmacy section, I was told "Oh well then we probably don't have it", and the clerk went back to doing whatever he was doing in the pharmacy. Ehhhh. I want to like this CVS more, I really do, since it is so conveniently located to my house and is nice and shiny and new, and the employees are generally so friendly. But a couple of recent issues have left me feeling lukewarm, rather than enthusiastic. Now, I filled a prescription at the pharmacy a few months back, and aside from asking for my new insurance card, there was no drama. However, refilling that same prescription again, they asked for my address...and it was like pulling teeth to get them to understand that I had MOVED from Memphis to Oshkosh. Yes, I knew my Memphis address, no, it was no longer current, yes, my address on W. 9th Ave was in fact the same 9th Ave that the store is on...just painful. I was given some excuse about how people were in town for EAA, but good grief, I've never had so much trouble updating my address. Plus, the store manager who was helping me didn't actually know how to update it in the system, so he had to pass me on to someone else, etc. etc. On another trip, I was offered a 20% off my entire purchase coupon if I updated my email address. Ok, sure. I was duly emailed the coupon, and next time I needed a few things, I stopped in. Scanning my card produced the 20% off, and then I handed over 2 receipt coupons I had from previous visits. Looking over my receipt in the car, I realized that one coupon had not been scanned at all, and the other, offering 25% off the item, had only registered savings of $0.19 on a $10 item. When I went back in to inquire, I was not offered any excuse as to why the one coupon had not been scanned at all, even though the cashier looked through her pouch and found it, and it was condescendingly explained to me that the 25% off coupon could not be combined with the 20% off (for a total of 45% off), but rather only gave me an extra 5%. Again, no explanation as to why I was not informed of that policy (so I could save the coupon for another trip). They swiped the missing coupon, handed me the dollar I was entitled to, and that was that. Honestly, these interactions have left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Next time I need to pop out for something, I'll give Walgreens a try instead. read more

Some of the Most rude employees I have ever encountered. I came into the store for some OTC medicine which I found with no issue, but then I had to stand by the cash register for 8 minutes until I finally yelled out over the store "could I get some help, no answer. I waited another minute and a half and then yelled "does anyone work here?", no answer. So I began to walk out of the store without what I came in for and then an employee came out of a random isle and began to bad mouth me. I should not have purchased my stuff here and I should have reported her to her manager but I was in a hurry. I will never come back here and I will never suggest this pharmacy to anyone ever. I'm not sure why the other ratings are low. I've had nothing but wonderful, friendly, helpful service at CVS on 9th. The pharmacy staff is always welcoming and answers questions throughly. I've rarely waited in line either in the pharmacy or store. I've never had the feeling (like in the other major chain) that the staff was doing me a favor by waiting on me. Look at your receipt! I went to the store the first time and bought several items with sale signs. I thought my bill was high and found none of the items rang up at the sale price. When I complained, I was told the sale prices didn't go in effect until the next day, but did finally get my $15 refund. I went in again and the same thing happened. I had to drive back to the store and was told my over charge was $4.68, but they would give me a $5 card. The $0.32 did not pay for my gas, time to return to the store and inconvenience. I returned all the items and will not go back again. There is never anyone at the checkout. A 5 to 10 minute wait is normal. read more

They seem to take longer than Walgreen's with most things and this business of having to sign for every prescription is rather annoying.They would not sell me Claritin-D at the drive-through but said I could come in and buy it (stupidity at its finest). And they have since the place was built two drive through "windows" for the pharmacy,but only one is actually used for picking up. The sign that is by the second one cannot be read as it is handwritten and weather-worn. Now they are going to play God over and above what my physician deems necessary and limit/restrict certain drugs (opioids). I understand there's a problem in this country with addiction, but I am not among those with a problem and don't need them, nor want them, second-guessing my doctor. Time to switch. read more

i went through the drive through to get a perscription for my 6 y,o, daughter filled. I arrived at the window and was greeted 5 to 10 minutes before the pharmacy closed for the night. I was not aware that they closed at 6pm, as i asked to be able to pick up the perscription later. I was told that i wouldn't be able to because they close at 6. I was told i should go to Walgreens. Well, my insurance does not have the same coverage at Walgreens, I told the server/pharmacist that and requested to get the perscription filled- since they were actually open i thought that was the obvious thing to do. After getting an eye roll she took my information only to return to the window 3 minutes later to say she would not serve me. I told her that was not acceptable since they are open. She reluctantly takes my insurance card and leaves the window again. Another minute or 2 later she returns again and states that she changed her mind and will not serve me. At this point it is still not 6pm. I am now upset as my daughter needs her medication. I stated, rather loudly- and intentionally so in order for the manager inside to know that i was upset- that i would not leave until they filled the order and that they should do their jobs instead of being lazy a$$es while waiting for their shift to end. I asked to see the manager and he (Kurt) comes to the window and tells me they won't fill the perscription because it is now 5:59. I asked "what time do you close, are you open or not?" I let him know that my daughter and i have just gotten out of a 4 hour stay at the emergency room and we needed her perscription (it was actually only 3 1/2 hours, so i am guilty of exaggerating). Finally he agrees to have the order filled. 5 minutes later another worker comes to the window and tells me I gave them my insurance card but they need my pharmacy card. I am upset at this point so i ask why it took them 10 minutes to look at my card if they are in such a hurry. She said she can not speak for someone else, and asked me if i speak for other people. I responded by saying i do not have to answer her questions as i am not serving her. She states that they don't have to serve me either. So after all of the friction to get a perscription filled, they actually started filling it and had it for me by 6:10. In other words, it only took about 10 minutes to fill the perscription. The manager then comes to the window and tells me that i am not welcome there because I used profanity. I guess i did use the word a$$es, but i explained to him that i was not welcome when i got there, and that it was obvious that the 3 of them didn't want to finish their shift. I calmly explained to him that he should not be surprised if a customer gets upset when you refuse to serve them when your business is still open- just because you want to leave early. When it was all said and done my daughter was crying and feeling ill in the back seat of the car, I too was still very upset. All i wanted was to fill a perscription, and by the time i left i felt insulted And all for a perscription that took 10 minutes to fill. If they had just filled it right away they and i would have both been done by 6pm. read more
