My husband went to this CVS to pick up prescriptions of three meds that the doctor had submitted electronically. Once he got home & opened the bag, only one was inside. He had to walk back for the other two. He was in excruciating back pain, which was the reason why he went to the doctors to begin with. The poor excuse given was that one was not covered by his insurance and the other was a patch that was in aisle six. Why was this not told to him the first time he was there. Why not give him the option to pay for the medication that the insurance wouldn't cover. Terrible customer, service & lack of empathy. read more

Either the people in this neighborhood are complete pigs, which the human side of me wants to say thats not true, or the manager here is incompetent and simply does not care what his store looks like. Yes I will say that the customers here are part of the problem, if you make a mess or make something fall, pick it up. Dont leave it and walk over it, you look like a moron. Finally a CVS in this area, my neck of the woods! There is always a long bread line at the check-out due to insufficient cashiers/sales associate staff and incompetent staff who does not cooperate as a team to clear the line. CVS has a rewards card program that offers members more coupons than Duane Reade. This location is fairly new thus it's airly and bright although the aisle of merchandise is not 100% organized and not well-stocked. Nearly every visit I have encountered lack of strawberry Häagen-Dazs ice cream or vanilla/chocolate Häagen-Dazs ice cream bars. This location has a parking lot on the Rockaway Boulevard A train. Unlike other CVS pharamacy stores, this location is NOT 24/7 hours of operation which patrons who work night shifts like myself cannot access should there be an emergency. N.B. This CVS is a bit on the slow end and you will find that it gets pretty busy through out the day. I definitely recommend that you get that phone call or text message telling you they have your medication ready if thats the reason you are going there. Heads up - folks from the I HOPE sometimes park over there so you might find parking an issue. I've frequented this location on numerous occasions since moving into this neighborhood back in July. The employees have been professional every time I've gone in to shop. It's clean, it's mostly stocked. I can't say that it doesn't meet baseline requirements for my needs. I've never used the picture area or the pharmacy so I can't comment on that aspect. Sometimes they're are long line especially on Sundays (sale day) and at night on Fridays for some reason. That being said, the line usually moves fast. If it isn't, it's because someone who trying to buy something without meeting coupon requirements. The cashiers are nice, especially the older set. They always take the time to say hello to my toddler and I greatly appreciate that. read more

this place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Yelp should have a way to give someone a ZERO star review. #1 the prices are more expensive than the competing pharmacy just 500 feet away. For example a 6 pack of dove soap is 8.99 at CVS in Rite Aid it's 6.99. From candy bars to stationary CVS's prices are always higher. #2 the pharmacy is a joke. You will be waiting and waiting and waiting in a line that stretches at least one aisle long. They seem to have 5-6 people working back there but nothing ever seems to get done. I had purchased some 75% makeup at another CVS and went here and asked if I could return it. They said no. Nice decent size cvs that have everything and big parking lot! It's clean and maintained well. The only thing is it's my local pharmacy and the wait line is insane, especially during the rush hours of lunch and after work. I will highly recommend coming here during the day when traffic is low or find another pharmacy. They have high volume of customers, so the prescription refill wait time is longer then other pharmacies as well. Staff is friendly and VERY patient. read more

Sorry, but CVS needs to do better. The best thing about CVS is their terrific rewards program. They always send me 25% off discounts in the mail and they give great coupons for having a CVS rewards card. However, are they going out of business? Most of the locations, including this one, seem to be very dated. I am not sure if they understand that the customer experience starts at the door with the store layout and upkeep. Not safe during COVID! The mask policy is not enforced. Witnessed a customer without one today, who was coughing repeatedly into his fist, not elbow and thereafter touched the keypad and other items. When i asked the pharmacist about this, she said it should be reinforced and she is not sure why security let him in. Although tape is marked on the ground designating 6feet, I am very disappointed and a little shocked at this. Be careful! Choose another CVS to stop the spread! read more

So if you go here for your covid vaccine - or any vaccine really - they will be ready for you with a few pre-filled syringes and you don't know what's in them or if they are clean and so on because they are pre-prepared and placed on a little tray and administered to whoever is there for shots. If you ask where they come from they'll show you an empty vial and then it's a "trust system" that you're getting what you think you're getting because guess what.... They are already ready for you and that's what you get, like what, why can't you just come in blindly and let us take care of you sort of thing, because there's a licensed pharmacist and so on ... please. I want to see where my vaccine is coming from, that it was properly refrigerated and stored and that I am getting a clean, new, unused syringe and no, I don't know you and don't trust you and even if I did you owe this to me to give me transparency and full disclose, even if you were my friend and specially if you are my friend you would understand this? My CVS experience. It was the day after I got my wisdom tooth pulled out, I left class early to go home, and I stopped by CVS to get a can of soup for myself, and saw that they had stuff on clearance, and they had a mascara for 75% off, so I took one and cashews were buy 1 get 1 free, so I thought that I would get 2 for my dad. Well, first problem I has was the cashier and the store manager accused me of replacing the price tag on the mascara so that I could get it off, being drugs for the pain I was not myself, and snapped at them, but really... they accused me of changing the tags, as if a) I had the time to stand there for 10 minutes and do it to the rest of the mascaras on the shelf, and b) I was somehow able to divinely pull the price tags out of my behind to put them on there. Anyway I get it for 75% off and I head home, pull into the parking spot and look at the receipt. The manager (who took over for the register because of the mascara) rung up 1 can of cashews 3 times! And I had to go back right away, and they denied that they did that and that I got 3 cans and not one. What had really happened was they were not on sale, and instead of taking the 2nd can off he rung it up a 3rd time and charged me full price for 3 cans of cashews! I eventually got my money credited back to my card, and complained to CVS (higher ups), the regional manager sent me an apology, a $25 gift certificate and went to the store itself. It all seemed like a scam to me, and imagine how many poor old people they did that to if they got away with that with me, on pain killers. read more

If I could give this CVS zero stars I would. I recently went there to purchase a few things I needed. I came out and my car was towed. There was a Spanish girl standing right outside and apparently she was responsible for having my car towed. She works for the towing company and apparently didn't see me "enter CVS" but thankfully I had my CVS receipt and had everything sorted out. But who says you have to purchase an item when shopping? I sometimes stand there and read the cards when I can't find things I need. I just think the whole towing after a few minutes is ridiculous. I will never ever go back to this CVS. If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. The staff is extremely rude they shouldn't be in this field of work. The pharmacist are so nasty and unprofessional there. I went there this morning to see if my mothers prescription was ready because they were unable to give her all the beginning of the month. They told her "it'll be ready by the 20 something" those exact words. So I when I went in this morning there was no line surprisingly but it took about 7 mins for someone to come over to the counter. When the pharmacist did she told me it wasn't ready. I asked her how long she said 10 minutes. I told her I'll be right back, I went across to ihop for breakfast. Spent about 45 minutes there. I went back to cvs and I waited on the line. When it was my turn the pharmacist asked for the name she went to the back computer and she was screaming out the address. Now call me silly but that's not very professional. My address is no one else business. So i told her that's not very professional of her. She told me their working on it and it'll be about 30 minutes. They are very unorganized here. They need to get it together. They lost me as a customer. What can I say, this CVS is better than Rite Aide those are my two local drugstores so I rather go to CVS even if I have to wait in a long line to pay for one item. Every time I go to CVS I end up waiting and waiting there is always One Register open and the Photo lab person always seems busy even when there is no one there. After a long wait someone opens up a 2nd register, is like they love to see us waiting until they decide to act on it. I think that this CVS should get a better team!! read more

CVS in liberty. Store hours are just okay. Parking lot is usually a plus, but it's often a fight to get a spot. Store isn't always busy, but there's always a line at the front counter. The pharmacy can be good and things can go off without a hitch early in the day. But as soon as it gets busy, the line for pick up doesn't move. Everything seems to move slow. Today was the last straw with them though. I went to pick up antibiotics for my son. It wasn't too busy when I arrived. When I get called to the counter, 2:20 pm, I was told my prescription was not ready. I was given the option to wait 20-30 minutes for it to be ready. Rather than go home for 5 minutes only to drive right back, I took the option to wait. Half hour goes by and I'm asked by a pharmacist if I'm waiting for something. She asks my name and goes to look to see if prescription is ready. Nothing. I wait another half an hour, it's busy at this point. So after waiting an hour, I ask if the prescription is ready yet? They ask the name again, they've clearly forgotten. They go check and sure enough it's ready. I ask why it took so long and the answer I get is "someone put it over there" where they put antibiotics that need to be mixed. If you've forgotten, my son's prescription was antibiotics. The kind that need to be mixed! So someone put them where they're supposed to be. The girl apologized, but at this point I'm just trying not to lose it. Anyway, the kicker? The time listed on the prescription as complete was 2:02 pm, the same time my wife got a text saying that the prescription is ready for pick up. A full 20 minutes before I entered the store. Which means the antibiotics were more than likely where they were supposed to be when I walked in and these people had me wait an hour for no reason. read more

Besides always being fairly crowded, I don't really have any cons about this pharmacy. Live 5 blocks away so I am here fairly often during the week. Just a HUGE HEADS UP TO PEOPLE WHO SHOP HERE: There is a woman in a black car parked just outside the CVS parking lot. This woman is a look out for a tow truck company. It doesn't matter if you step out of the parking lot for a second, she calls a tow truck around the corner and the truck comes to try to tow your car away. They will charge you a $136 fee if you don't want it impounded. So, if you're going to shop at this CVS, make sure to be on the look out. read more

The cashier who is an older woman usually there in the morning telling me the items were not on sale but then the register showed them as sale items. This happened to me on two occassions at this location within the same week. I shop at these chain pharmacies for sale items. This is the worst CVS I ever been too, I left a review for the cvs at 96-09 location which is this one before they moved it across the street, I didnt realize that this was the updated address. The employees are all the rudest people i ever seen working in a retail store I seriously dont know where they find there employees. They make a huge deal out of the stupidest little things and to make it worse the managers is 100 times worse and more rude than his employees. Theres always a line and one cashier and it takes them like 10 minutes to do one customer. They dont want to take coupons or returns and they dont care if you have a receipt or not. I wiah I can give this store a -25. Dont go to this store go to rite aid or if you wanna stick with cvs go to the one in howard beach middle village or atlantic.
