I was in the area and needed a thank you card. I walked into Jewel Pharmacy and what a surprise. This reminded of a grocery store. As I peruse the aisle I caught a taste of nastalgia and felt a bit rustic. The figurines took me waaaaay to my childhood. We had just moved to Büdingen Germany. We lived on a farm in the country and we were taught how the farmers life at an early age. Back to the e review... This pharmacy appears to be pharmacy market. I'm the have a vast variety teas and liquid herbal extracts to name a few. The cards are a bargain. You purchase a card for $4.99 and pay $3.27. The popcorn is $1.25, what a bargain. That's a bargain for me, I think I will buy some. This is gold mind for inexpensive toys as well. Although I only went to buy a card I got extra. The customer service here is polarizing. Called to ask about whether they still had something in stock. First guy just screamed "WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?" and hung up within 5 seconds. Called back, different guy, and he said "I don't know you have to ask the cashier." O...okay. So put the cashier on the line? After asking if he could find out for me, he finally did, and confirmed how much they had, as well as the price. I drive over, ask the guy at the counter where the items were, and he says he has no idea what I'm talking about. I talk to another guy, and he says he has no idea what I'm talking about. I ask the woman, and she says, "yes, here's the item" and sold me the item. Overall, the place seems like a mess. But they're stocked with non-vanilla inventory. The fact that they're stocked, I guess, is a positive in 2020. And at least they pick up the phone, unlike CVS, Walgreens, etc. read more

A wonderful neighborhood pharmacy. I took my 98 year old dad there for covid 19 and RSV vaccine. The pharmacist accommodated and came out to the front area for patient vaccination instead of us walking into the back area. He also allowed my dad to use the staff bathroom. I know we received special accommodation and grateful for the special elderly care. The front intake pharmacy staff was also very very patient. Everyone seemed busy but pleasant. We had a great experience and felt cared for. read more

I come in here for two reasons: it's close and I am desperate. Do not get me wrong, they have a nice selection of items and they are open until a decent time. The staff is well acquainted with the community and know how to deal with the customers well. If I am to lazy to travel, I will pick up certain items here when in need. Unfortunately, big conglomerates have better competitive prices, and that is what stops me from shopping here all the time. Nonetheless, this place will not price gauge you either while still being very convenient to the neighborhood. I also love perusing thru their tea, supplement and natural hair dye aisles. What makes them stand out is their selection of organic items at a fairer price in comparison to the Queens Health Store on Horace Harding Expressway and 159 street. I never not enjoy my experience when shopping here and if you live close buy, stop in and take a look for yourself. read more

I loved Jewel Pharmacy before I had to deal with prescription drugs on a regular basis. The line is always endless, guys who work there are nice people but I'm always aware of the sense that this department is unorganized. For example I would call prior to visit and they would tell me that my medications are ready to pick up. And then I'm still waiting half hour to get them plus one time over the phone I've been told that one of the medication is ready and when I came there they told me it's not covered by my insurance. But I understand that they are dealing with a lot of people. And the most important thing that I always get my medication. So I would suggest to be patient and lower your expectation on a waiting time. The rest of the pharmacy is great. The prices are slightly lower and they have huge variety of teas, organic products and more.. read more

I am an 80 year old senior masked up looking for meds who was yelled at and berated simply attempting to have my prescription handed over after my wife had previously called and was told "its all ready".Humiliated in public for not speaking loudly enough to a huge hulk of a man behind the counter who when I had had enough shouted me out of the store. The worst kind of senior abuse. I shutter to think what this Nurse Ratchet in pants would be like in a senior care center setting. Hope for others sake that he goes back to his real job as a guard on Rikers or what ever he does that requires boorish brute behavior and leaves the dispensing of meds, and tissues to others. Tried to find some management in Jewel Pharmacy but no one seemed willing or able to do the right thing. Next time Walgreens CVS or Walmart or Target is accused of being too b ig or not quite as personal as a small operator like Jewel Pharmacy will take that claim with a grain of salt. Yes the aforementioned are busy buy at least they have standards of ethical behavior that woud send this buffoon packing out the doorat once. read more

I love this formerly known as Echo Drugs very much. This store carries some unique organic items not found in big pharmacies like Rite aid, CVS. Organic juices, teas, variety of snacks, food and skincare products are my favorites of all times! My weekly must-go place for years. read more

Jewel Pharmacy is run by incompetent people. They know nothing about customer service. Management is rude. Further, they are price gouging on vitamins and herbs. I paid $11.99 for a bottle of Solgar vitamin C 500 mgs. 100 count. Since the pandemic they have been raising prices on these items regularly. Just an FYI read more

I really liked this place when it was Echo drugs, we still call it Echo out of force of habit eventhough they have been under new ownership for quite some time. They used to have a lot more variety in terms of beauty supplies. I was in here looking for some hair products and was disappointed with the selection. A lot of the stuff on the shelves appear outdated. The prices aren't really what they used to be either. I'll admit its been a while since I've stepped in here but most of the layout hasn't changed but the product placement has. Just to be sure I asked the cashier for the product and she said they should have it. I told her I looked but I didn't see it. She then just said oh sorry if it's not on the shelf we don't have it. Parking is free but be sure to get your ticket validated if you are parking there during the week. The first 2 hours are free with validation. This is mainly done because a lot of commuters park there taking away spaces from legitimate shoppers. You don't have to make a purchase to get your ticket validated. read more

I absolutely love this pharmacy. I travel to Elechester Shopping Center from Forest Hills just because of the level of service. Ralph, the Manager, Dr. Cline, the Pharmacist, and the entire staff greet me by name, and treat me as if I were the most valued customer that they have. I had a terrible experience with this pharmacy . Every month, they fail to get me my medication on time. As a result, I have to miss two to three days of taking my medications. Each time they promise that it wouldn't happen again, but they were never able to. I do not recommend this pharmacy . read more

Terrible place. Very unreliable. Always out of stock. Every time I go in there for a vitamin or Boiron remedy. They are "waiting for a delivery." The latest is they would have to place a $250.00 order for a certain product. What kind of company tells a customer that? If you truly want to serve your customers you would do what's necessary to keep them happy. Now, I feel compelled to write this negative review. Don't waste your time with this dump. read more

I live in Brooklyn and the NYC Health Center on Pitkin Ave insisted that I get my prescriptions delivered from here. After sitting home for a day waiting for the driver when I have a flu, he called me and told me that he called me the night before and left a message... LIAR... LIAR.. LIAR. I have a message machine and Fios and checked, NO CALL. In my book where there is a liar there is a thief. I am sick on disability and I do not need to have someone like this coming to my home or knowing my health, I find it to be a security risk. If he said sorry it was late I'll be over right away, fine, but when someone lies to me, they do not get a second chance. I do not need to wait for my prescriptions from a place in Queens, I have a rite aid 2 blocks away. read more

This is a very unfair and horrible work environment. The manager is very rude. They take care of there own. Meaning that if you know the manager personally, you will never get terminated. Same goes for the owner. They have shirts that have there logo on it. They are supposed to be worn by all employees, nobody ever wears them. But if the wrong employee gets caught not wearing it. They get yelled at. Same goes with cellphones. You are not allowed to be on your phone. That is only true of certain employees that are not personal friends of the owner or manager. The manager will stand in back of the register, where the whole store can hear, he will then proceed to ridicule and yell at the employee. The management is very rude. They are unapproachable. The store is filthy., not to mention HOT. You stand there all day sweating. There is no air in the store. You have to stand on a wooden plank for 9 hours at the front register. They will not even give you a chair. They let the customers treat you like shit read more
