Inefficient. Sluggish. Unfriendly. Indifferent. And all the while I was sorting out what had gone wrong with my insurance (it turned out I had been issued a new separate pharmacy card with a new number) I had to listen to the aggravating set-your-teeth-on-edge pop music. The first two people who "helped" me were flat and monosyllabic (person no. 1 being inarticulate as well). At checkout time after everything had been sorted out I got a third person, who was responsive, quick, and friendly. read more

Wow!!! The wait you have to do for your perception is horrible! Every month is a wait no matter if you come early or late it's always a long line and a wait. You don't have enough employees and you have customers who wait to pick up precipitations but take all day with unlimited questions. I'm thinking about just changing pharmacies read more

Save yourself the hassle, they don't have a Minute Clinic. Scheduled a COVID test yesterday, and when I called with a question it was THEN someone from pharmacy informed me they don't do COVID testing and that it is a glitch in the system. read more

The worst Pharmacy experience ever. It's like who running it back there Dr. Seuss. The pharmacists seems to have little acumen of patient quality care. Apparently nobody cares at this location questions are met with attitude and low class responses. I firmly believe the pharmacy staff need to be re-trained. read more

I honestly can't believe I am reviewing a chain pharmacy in Philadelphia, but my experience with this place has been so poor, that I have decided to give up my the convenience of going to this close location, and going to ANY other pharmacy. The people are nice and friendly, this is the only reason I have not awarded 1 star. This location constantly has problems that are not addressed by management. 1. The photo machine is broken for long stretches of time, and you can neither know in advance, nor can you cancel photos as the location does not communicate the status of their machine with tech people that can fix or update the status on the website (app). 2. The location itself is often closed for no clear reason. Highly unprofessional signs and cardboard cover the windows, while people are inside working. I have often received notices via text or email that an order was ready (pharmacy or photo), only to show up within and hour and find a similar situation above. This is obviously due to poor planning and communication. read more

Everyone should get a flu shot but not here. Appointments, I was told, "are a fallacy" and walk ins were taken before several of us who were scheduled- purposely to avoid spending extra time in a crowded pharmacy during a pandemic. 40 minute wait. Not ok. Front of store is always fine- no prob getting my Reese's. read more

I notified CVS Corporate Offices that the pharmacist, John, may benefit from some mental health intervention. It was also suggested to me to submit a formal complaint to the PA License Board of Pharmacy which should initiate an investigation into why it took 15 days, 17 contacts, with multiple calls to corporate and my insurance carrier, CVS Caremark, to receive pain medication following a knee replacement surgery. This pharmacy goes way beyond not giving a damn. I was accused by John of receiving the medication a week prior, even though their computer, CVS website, and Caremark all show that the Rx was never filled. My phone log shows I spent over 3 hours (mostly on-hold) trying to resolve the issue. I finally got my medication; now it's off to a different pharmacy. Bye, bye John and your f*ed up attitude! read more

Thee WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. If only I could give this pharmacy 0 stars it would completely describe my experience. The young cashier...rude. Questioned why I was putting in a prescription for MY own mother AND I...the customer...receives an attitude from attitudinal amber over here. I speak with the pharmacy manager who proceeds to continue to question me...tell me he can't fill all of my prescriptions with no answer why. The best part...the wonderful pharmacy manager threw my perscriptions back and "advised" me to take my prescription elsewhere. If this is the customer service CVS provides then I will make it my point to take this higher up. I wish I was half as nasty as the staff to feel a bit better about filling a script for my damn mother. read more

I work at a dentist's office and phoned in a prescription. The pharmacist was unpleasant to speak with-- he seemed as if he was trying to rush me off the phone because I couldn't fax the information to him, and the pharmacist spoke a mile a minute and it was hard to understand him. I understand if it was busy, but you still have a job to do and as a pharmacist, it's incredibly important to do it right. He ended up having to call back a second time to fix a mistake that could have been avoided had he took his time and not rushed me off the phone. He abruptly hung up twice without letting me know if everything was correct or when the prescription should be ready by. He was going so fast I had to ask him to repeat things. Unfortunately healthcare providers normally can't choose pharmacies, but for patients/anyone who can, it's better to go somewhere more pleasant & attentive. read more

When I walk in I asked for something I knew they had was rudely told "we don't have this, bye!!", then I looked in the isles and found it myself. Truly horrible customer service, worst cvs ever. Avoid at all costs. read more

I have scheduled two covid tests and twice I got to the window and a sign said the system was down. You sent me emails and texts reminding me of my appointment....why couldn't you tell me that it was cancelled??? I dont have a car and it is really hard for me to make this happen and then you can't get me in earlier at another site. Really frustrating read more

My 15 year old son had a vaccine appt that I had scheduled 5 days prior at this location; the timing was extremely important for his schedule and ours, as we work full time. On the morning of the appt day, the pharmacy called us to cancel due to vaccine unavailability. Yet when I looked on the website, there were same day time slots available - so I rebooked and then tried to call the pharmacy to confirm. First I was sent to a national CVS rep who kept telling me if I had an appointment, there was vaccine, no matter how many times I tried to explain the situation. Then I finally got the pharmacist (Alex Piccone), who confirmed there was no vaccine today, and who also refused to offer any assistance in transferring my son's appointment elsewhere, other than giving me a number. I then called that number, and was told by that pharmacist that they couldn't help us, even though my son did have a confirmed CVS vaccine appointment in the system. Bottom line, we are driving 20 miles to a Walgreens today, CVS does not honor vaccine appointments made 5 days in advance, and their pharmacists are of no assistance when things go wrong. read more

I drove from center city 25 min to pick up my special order prescriptions. Pharmacy was not open even though they advertised open until 1800. Staff were rude and did nothing to satisfy my concerns or help me. The pharmacy staff were giggling behind their screen and yelling rudely at the customers waiting for their medications stating "there was an emergency ". Store manager was not helpful. Furthermore the pharmacy hours are not good. They should open at 0800 and stay open later until 2200 if they want to stay competitive and help keep customers like me with excellent insurance coverage. read more

Today I had an absolutely HORRIFIC experience with this CVS. Lasted into 5 hours. In person and on the phone. Even the corporate office couldn't get a phone call answered at their pharmacy department - they resorted to having a regular staff member CARRY A HANDWRITTEN NOTE to the back of the store. All I needed was for them to release my prescriptions so that I could bring them to another location to have them filled, after 2 weeks of trying to get them done at that original store. Perhaps the worst customer service at this pharmacy that I have ever experienced. They appear to be overworked but also don't seem to have any understanding of how customer service works. I had a simple prescription that I needed to transfer from another pharmacy that isn't covered in my network. I've now been to CVS 5 times and still don't have my simple prescription filled. I went this morning and they weren't open yet an hour after posted hours. I went tonight and the pharmacy was closed 45 minutes before posted closing time. I have spent over an hour on hold the last few days as well. I'll never go here again. I do think corporate needs to take accountability here, feel somewhat bad for the staff as they appear poorly managed, overworked, etc. But also - have some pride in your work and show some concern for customers. read more

This pharmacy has taken rude customer service to new heights. I give this pharmacy A LOT of business, but they couldn't care less if they keep it. The pharmacy staff (one woman in particular) is EXTREMELY rude. They don't answer their phone. They always screw up the auto-refill stuff so I have to go in. Their drive through is often closed. There are long lines. They just suck. Not sure what happened because they used to be great. New management? New pharmacy management? They were looted during the "riots" and have used that as an excuse for horrible customer servivce. I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

The CVS overall is fairly mediocre (understaffed, poorly organized, not helpful staff) but the real stinker is the pharmacy. This is the worst CVS pharmacy (maybe the worst ever pharmacy) I've ever gone to. I would be shocked if they had an actual pharmacist on staff because the people who do work back there are clueless. They're rude, slow, and totally uninformed. The staff can't answer questions about anything. They rarely ever call to tell you a prescription is ready for pick up, and if you DO get the automated message, the prescription frequently isn't actually ready yet. If I could give CVS more than 5 stars, I would. This place is fantastic! I like how I can pick up random items that I need while waiting for a prescription to be filled or photos to be printed. This particular CVS is better than others in the city cause they always seem to be well-stocked with their items (which seems to be a big problem in a lot of stores in Philly!). There are 2 Rite-Aids that are closer to my apartment (one within walking distance) but I insist on driving to CVS instead! read more

It's a chain pharmacy, they go through pharmacists fast and some have been good. I used to have trouble getting them to keep my synthroid in stock, but if they were out they could usually find some at the other CVS nearby. I learned to call in on a Thursday before I run out and its always in before the weekend. As far as chain pharmacies go, they are pretty good and very helpful, especially the staff members that has been there for a few years. My only major complaint is that there is this scruffy looking guy that I don't know if he's a customer or just hangs out there. He has been there every time since I started getting my prescriptions filled there over a year ago. He has some issues with speech and is always yelling at customers and employees so he must have some sort of psychological condition, which I understand isn't his fault and there's nothing he can do about it, but it really reflects badly on the management that they let this guy shout at their customers and wander around the place. Lately he's been outside the store in the parking lot and I swear he's going to get hit. 8 times out of 10 he's casual standing at their drive-thru window as I pull up. If someone is on their phone or not paying attention, they could easily hit him. He's probably harmless, but I can tell he makes people uncomfortable and I'm afraid to use the drive-thru anymore. It's irresponsible of CVS to let people loiter about the place all day. read more

This is the second time in 2 months I have gone to pick up a prescription only to be told the Dr would not fill it. Second time I called the doctor only to be told they were never called to refill it. They send a message my scripts are ready and I go and they are not. Worst Pharmacy ever.... I am changing to having them sent to me from another source. To top that they are slow and rude. read more
