The store is okay. The pharmacy is usually a nightmare. If your rx is just a pickup with no issues you are lucky. The line can be long and you will have to get in another line if there's a problem. And don't forget that they close for lunch, which is really crazy in such a busy store. It would be ok in summer, but in season? Employees are usually okay, but seem overwhelmed. read more

I use CVS. My insurance pays. For six years I have said do not do automatic renewal and fir six years they have. They have sworn they don't get my prescriptions from my physician and my physician swears they have . It's back and forth, back and forth. They call me and constantly harass me about automatic renewal. I say I'm not even discussing this because I have said no a dozen times. The next day they text and say I have prescriptions to pick up that I have not requested. They never stop. I do like the Minute Clinic and find the nurse practitioners to be professional and knowledgeable. But that pharmacy just sucks. read more

They honestly do not deserve a star at all. They never fill any if my daughter insulin or supplies on time even if I put in for it 4 business days a head of schedule. They were suppose to fill a insulin pod kit last Tuesday said Friday the Monday never return calls or inform you of what is going on They never answer a call. Now they tell me they can't find it within 30 miles but won't give me the store over 30 miles that has it. The rush people pain pills through but I need this to keep my daughter alive. Dropped off script for very needed pain meds Wed. at 11:00. Was told they'd be ready by 3, took number to textt if ready early. Never received text. Called several times for status that kept saying in progress all evening. Called several times Thursday morning, same story. Went in at 11:40 am Thursday since it's been lingering enough. I was told they were scheduled to be filled at noon. By whom? No answer. Go figure. Asked to wait another 20 min while they work on it. Ridiculous & unexceptionable service. Pain meds idiot! There is a woman, Nicole, that is beyond rude. She is standing doing nothing but she is ONLY helping PICK UPS. I'm a drop off and another customer is taking a LOOOOOONG Time at the counter. Do I really need to give them a Star??? Completely disappointed in CVs MinuteClinic. Had a5:50 pm rapid COVID test appt. I arrived 4 minutes late. Not my intention as I am usually on time but I have had a fever for three days straight And two of my children are also battling this illness. Try getting them into a car and driving an hour only to be told, " so sorry but we can't see you." I get protocols have to be in place but come on how about a little compassion? What does it take a couple minutes? I would have waited for a gap. Nothing offered. Too bad.I have taken all the necessary measures to protect my family including getting vaccines and booster asap for myself and my children. We have worn masks long after everyone stopped. I am immune compromised and had to wait to test because of the holiday weekend. I feel as though I am getting worse so I really wanted to know my status and also for my children and school. CVS used to be my favorite. Won't be coming back anytime soon as this left a terrible taste in my mouth. read more

I realize everyone is short staffed, over worked, and overwhelmed in my city following a 2+ year pandemic as well as trying to recover from the catastophic hurricane IAN. So I've been patient waiting 2-3 days on prescription refills and new prescriptions. Yesterday however pushed me over the edge. I never experienced the type of bad customer service as I did from a young man in the drive-up window yesterday. I was at the window patiently waiting my turn realizing they were closing the pharmacy at 1:30, yet getting there 10 minutes prior to closing. They finished waiting on the car beside me, and I saw they were starting to shut and close the windows inside the pharmacy. I rang the drive-thru bell to make sure I would be waited on as their last customer before lunch, it was 1:28. I rang the bell to say how I'd been there before closing and the woman at the cash register clearly saw me waiting and could have told me that I'd have to come back later for my pickup. Instead a very rude young man comes from behind the counter inside and made signs with his hands and ears that he couldn't hear me. I made a sign of answering the phone and mouthed "pick up the phone and talk to me". At which time he finally did, but started yelling how I was interfering with HIS time and how I didn't respect HIM!!! I finally had a chance to cut in to his rant, to say I would have come back, but now insist they give me my prescriptioin since I was clearly there 10-15 minutes prior to closing. After much yelling at me he finally agreed to hand me my prescription, so I sent in my credit card. After getting my card, he said he was keeping my ID and credit card and I could come back when the pharmacy opened again to pick them up!!! What??? you're holding my credit card hostage? I asked for his name and to speak to his manager. At this, he shoved my card and prescription through the window and walked away. This was the last draw of poor service from this pharmacy. I realize people are hard put for staff these days, but a little common curtsey would have been all it took to deescalate the situation and keep a happy customer. I'm now leaving this store, and telling everyone I know not to shop there or use their pharmacy. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy there is the staff totally ignored me the whole time after being so patient waiting on there drop off line in side the pharmacy I decided to go through the drive thru in hopes that maybe I would get better service the man in the drive thru was literally arguing with me the whole time of why I could not pay the good rx price on top of the fact that he would just roll his eyes whenever he spoke to me or when I mentioned I had the good rx he kept asking for the insurance as I had already explained multiple times I was self pay had no insurance. I would never recommend this to anyone especially minorities definitely racist too I observed as other folks that weren't minority were seen on a timely manner they literally walked back and forth saw me and never acknowledged the fact I was present or even said a word like we will be with you shortly thanks for your patience read more

Thank God for this 24 hour CVS. After a TERRIBLE dining experience at Captain's Table, this was the only place open at 9:30pm on a Sunday. I picked up some iced tea and crackers and had a fantastic $5 meal. This CVS is big and clean, and the only place in all of Punta Gorda open past 9pm on a Sunday. read more

I have been going to this CVS for the last 10 years, The people working there are very nice, very helpful, I have no problem with any of them. The problem I have is with a very limited supply of greetings cards. Every time I go there to find a card for a special occasion I can't find any. They have plenty of birthday cards for "her" and for "him", but try to find something out of ordinary like "new house", or anniversary for son and daughter-in-law and you won't find any. There were other items that they don't have, and after I get there and can't find what I'm looking for I swear that this will be my lest time I go there. The only thing is they're the closest and since we shop at Publix it makes it convenient. I just had to vent my frustration. read more

CVS must be the worst managed pharmacy in the country and I have no evidence that this store is professionally managed. I simply wanted some guidance on payment for Covid antibody testing, which CVS offers and Medicare Part B covers. I simply wanted confirmation that CVS expects cash payment and some guidance on submitting a Medicare claim. I began with the MinuteClinic Patient support line, which must have the world's worst "Auto-Attendant." All it could manage to say is, "We're having some trouble", then disconnected my call. Next step, try to talk to a person at the Store. There are a number of selections. First I selected the MinuteClinic. The Store "Auto-Attendant" advised that it couldn't connect me to the MinuteClinic. "Call back later." Maybe someone in the Pharmacy could help, so I called back and selected Pharmacy. Was on hold endlessly. So I called back and basically lied - said I was calling from a Doctor's office. Same deal. On hold endlessly. No one ever picked up and eventually the call disconnected. Based on my experience, it's pretty obvious that nobody there cares or knows anything about Customer Service, and based my experience with Corporate it's a top-down problem. read more

I just moved to Punta Gorda and had to take my last Dr's prescription to the CVS pharmacy there. I have 5 prescriptions and my insurance which was CVS Caremark required that I use them. In November I was informed that my insurance would be changed to Silverscript starting January 1st to place me on a Medicare part D program. Both Silverscript and Caremark assured me nothing would change. So I went in December to fill my regular prescriptions that I have been getting for several years all together. The CVS on Airport RD and US 41 advised me that they could only refill 3 of the 5 prescriptions because there hadn't been enough time between refills for two of the medications? I've never had this problem before? They told me to come back in a month for the other two. On January 23rd my wife went to get my prescriptions with my new Silverscript card. CVS informed her that only one of the drugs would be covered and charged me $150.99 for the one not covered. It was in the evening so the next day I called Silverscript to find out why the drug wasn't covered and I was told that it is covered and they should have only charged me $18.25 for it. The Silverscript rep called the CVS to see if we could go back in and get my money back that they over charged me and CVS refused to do that, so the Silverscript rep sent me a form to fill out and send in to get my money back. I got the form and filled it out and it requested the original receipts? I called and asked why I couldn't send them a copy and Silverscript said they required the original. I made copies and mailed them the receipts. Two days ago I got a monthly use form from Silverscript which stated that January's total expenditures for drugs was the $18.25 CVS should have billed me? I called Silverscript and told them I paid 150.99 and they said that CVS records showed I only paid $18.25? I told them I mailed them the original receipt showing what I paid and then asked for a supervisor because the girl was just trying to tell me anything to get me off the phone. The Silverscript supervisor came on and, after listening to me tell him what happened, then called the CVS and conferenced the call so I could hear the conversation. The CVS person said they had processed my refund and it was waiting for me to pick up? I said how was I supposed to know that and she said they called me? I'm retired and don't leave the house often plus I never get called so I looked at my caller ID and guess what. No calls from CVS. Anyway so now that I know I have a refund, I call my wife to go by and pick it up on the way home. Since she charged the original I said to just have them add the amount in credit to our Discover card, which I had already paid in full. When she gets there they give her a gift card that can only be used at CVS instead of giving my money back? I'm like excuse me? I told her to go back in and get my money back. But my wife isn't as forceful as I am and chickened out and said the manager told her to come in the next day and speak to the day manager? Of course she hasn't done that and refuses to give me the card so I can. Ok so what you say? Well I'm thinking that they must do this often and they probably get quite a few people who don't even fight for their rights, so they are ripping a ton of people off? I found out my Silverscript is good at other pharmacies so I will never go to CVS again for any of my prescriptions and I would warn anyone to avoid CVS because they can't be trusted. I'm pissed at my wife now too because she won't let me get my money back. I'm wondering if there is a law against this type of fraud? Because it is fraud the way I look at it. read more
