This was the worst CVS MinuteClinic I've ever visited. The clinic was extremely inefficient and running far behind schedule. I waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes before deciding to leave. I wasted my sick time for nothing. What made the experience even more frustrating was that they called in patients who had later appointment times while others had been waiting for over two hours. At one point, a patient insisted on being seen first, and the NP accommodated her instead of helping those who had been waiting much longer. The scheduling and patient flow seemed very disorganized, and the experience was disappointing. I do not recommend. read more

This CVS really grinded my gears the other day as the pharmacy employee saw a clear example of a customer acting poorly and didn't do anything about it. In my eyes it isn't up to us other customers to say anything, but he should have. Here is what happened. As we all stood in line waiting to grab a prescription, a lady waddled up to the counter that was already fully occupied with customers and stood over a customer's shoulder. For one, that's a pretty big violation and the staff member should have told her that it was a invasion of privacy (the customer had to), and for two, when he was done with the customer at the counter he started to serve her when there were at least four of us waiting to be seen before her. Sure, any one of us customers could have spoken up but the pharmacy authority figure could have easily said "there's a line, you need to stand in it behind those people." If I would have said something I probably would have ended up on TikTok with an inaccurate title of "angry customer starts fight at CVS." Totally not worth it. He saw it, he did nothing, and while not the biggest deal in the world, accepting human entitlement is not cool in my world. read more

This CVS is a dream for anyone who hates cramped aisles and wants to stroll in an open space! On a quiet Monday morning, I was in and out in 10 minutes! I ain't mad at that! The store itself? Clean, organized, and spacious. The customer service? Let's just say I had the privilege of enjoying a self-guided tour because no one was around to say hello. It was like the introvert's paradise (ahem me!) with minimal human interaction! Pro tip: Download the CVS app if you don't already have it. It told me some products were on sale, even though the items were not labeled as such! A little misleading? Sure. But thankfully, the app didn't lie, and I saved a few bucks. How about them long receipts? CVS make you feel like you've won the lottery when your receipt says you saved $2.50! Can't complain because in this economy, every penny counts. Between coupons and app deals, I've saved hundreds of dollars over the years. As a certified frugal Asian, I love me a good bargain! Sadly, it's never perfect and I've read some yelp reviews about CVS pharmacies and how awful customer service is across the board. I guess I must have the magic touch because I've never had major issues. Lucky me! I hope I didn't jinx myself. Bottom line: The things I needed were in stock, and the experience was efficient, but not memorable. I was with Kaiser for so many years so I really miss the convenience of having my meds delivered home. Now I am back to the CVS that I used to frequent 25 years ago when I moved to San Diego. Time flies. One day not long ago I lost my nerves and I started crying due to stress and healthcare uncertainty and the pharmacist lady was super kind to me. Thanks for the patience, sometimes even the happy birds have depressing moments. I also like that they remind me about vaccines I am suggested to take. I was helped by the front lady named shawday (spell check) she was super sweet and very helpful and let me take a few passport photos even while she was super busy with tons of guest. I appreciate the nine yards worth of coupons every time I checkout at the register. Came in for cold and cough meds for something I caught from work and immediately chugged it in the parking lot. I felt like it was at a liquor store in my early 20s lol. The meds did the work and I slept like a baby for the first time in days. The cashier was friendly and welcoming. The lady who is at the minute clinic sits, idly the whole day. Won't take walk ins, simply put it up that all appointments are filled on the cvs website. We saw her just sitting the whole day whiling away her time, or throwing random boxes away. If there was negative stars, that's what I'd give. First, impossible to speak to a pharmacist on the phone. After calling store mgr, he put me through to an actual person. Then when I go to pickup, they don't know their right hand from left, but it's the actual pharmacist that needs a new job! Went here to get a med our smaller CVS didn't have. The pharmacist has called ahead and I knew they had the formulation. When I got there I was greeted by some rude clerk behind the counter. Just plain dismissive and unhelpful. As a result I had to step out of line to wait further, just to be paged by the pharmacist within 60 seconds, which now meant being again in the back of the line and then contending with the staff not being able to find the just filled script. The pharmacist then provided fairly rude counseling on a drug interaction. All these people need customer care training. I'll avoid this location in the future. read more

I was waiting in the long line to get my prescription at this CVS, and two people just cut the line and walked in front of us because they had a "bar code," which I guess gets you front of line privileges. That would be okay if that was some kind of self serve thing, but these bar code customers still had to be helped and rung up by the employee that we were waiting in line for! (Rancho) Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego, CA. I proceeded to the Pharmacy line and as usual the lines there were long. The pharmacy employee; male, white, thin build, dark hair. He was wearing a mask; incorrectly. I provided the name, mine. He returned from the bins stating he didn't have the order. I told him I received a text advising the order was ready and asked that he check with someone. He stated I will have to go to the drop off counter. I asked him again to check on the order he said he wouldn't. "Not with that attitude" he stated. He then stated he was moving on to the next customer and switched to the adjacent register. He was rude, belligerent and dismissive. I'm there at least once a week to shop and or pick up prescriptions for myself or someone else. When you buy product online for pickup at the store you get charged a bag fee (in California) at a rate of 10 cents per item. I bought six items and was charged 60 cents in bag fees, the items purchased all fit in one bag for pickup, I was overcharged by 50 cents. I wanted the bag fees reversed but the acting supervisor said they couldn't refund or reverse the bag fee charges because the items were purchased online. CVS you have very shady (TRUMP-like) practices with regards to coupons and how you acknowledge items purchased online, you act as if the items purchased online for pickup at the store were not pulled off the shelf from the same store as the pickup. You want to blame the online store for the bag fee overcharge for items that were picked up in your store in 1-bag. Also, it goes without saying that your stores are understaffed and there is always a ridiculously long line waiting for service. We can only hope that someday AMAZON will takeover all the CVS's. read more

Opposite of lots of other Yelpers, I've never really had a problem here. I've found that the staff are usually competent. They usually have the meds I need in stock, and if they have to order them, they then arrive quicker than promised. They're located in a shopping center, and parking has never been a problem. I guess my only complaint would be the wait time. Sometimes I go in and there's three ahead of me in line and other times I've seen ten people waiting. I know like every company in America is hurting for employees, but it seems like more staffing might solve the problem? read more

Staff has no clear communication between each other. Will tell customers in the pickup line to be drop-off line, then walk over to the drop-off line and said they should have been consultation, then ring up in pickup. Most of the pharmacists are actually very nice, but most of the lower level assistants are inept. Make the extra 5 min drive and go to the 4S location. read more

The pharmacist is terribly rude and incompetent. I cannot believe I was told a patient should wait 3 days for medication to subside the pain of a kidney stone. This is not the first time the pharmacy has been out of stock for a drug. The pharmacist (lily) is unprofessional and completely incompetent. She might as well have said go home with your loved one and suffer- I've been in healthcare over 25 years- I'm 100% realistic but this was absolutely unacceptable. Liz gives the best flu shots ever! Took my almost 70 year old mom, who is scared of needles, to get her flu shot. She was SO pleased with Liz' quick and painless shot. I also got one and didn't feel a thing! We will definitely be returning for all of our future vaccine needs. We were grateful they could accommodate us as walk ups. I have many choices for a place to shop for drug store type items in the Rancho Bernardo area, but it is so unusual and super nice to have a place that is open 24 hours a day. No matter what time of day or night, I know I can quickly and easily find what I need for myself, or for my family. The Rancho Bernardo store just completed a major store refurbishment and upgrade that took 3 months. As part of the upgrade, they added some self-checkout machines to help out when they are busy during the day or on weekends. This is my go-to place for so many day-to-day items. I want to give a well deserved shout out to Yelena. It was only her and one other employee on shift during a busy Friday evening. She was working two computers/registers at a time to keep the line moving efficiently. She was going back and forth, grabbing prescriptions, getting payment, and answering questions all with a smile. Despite the obvious stressful situation she kept the smile the whole transaction and was kind. I'm would give five stars for the pharmacy. I am currently at the pharmacy waiting for my prescriptions to be filled (the pharmacist Faez has been working diligently with my insurance claim issue). There is a king of at least ten customers waiting. I see two pharmacists and at least 3-4 pharmacy techs or assistants running around, filling medications. I observed an interaction between someone named Patti (I assume manager) and a worker (likely pharm tech). Patti relayed a message stating that she had transferred a call to the pharmacy, asked if someone could pick it up. The tech told them that they're super swamped and stressed and they may not be able to get to the phone anytime soon. Patti asked, "well can you at least pick up the call and tell them that?" He had stated he will try his best. She walked away stating that she'll be furious if it doesn't happen. It was very unprofessional, and taking a call can take a lot of time as well. I don't understand how a manager or supervisor doesn't not see everything going on at the pharmacy and not support the staff. Retail pharmacies are already short on resources and have more pressure and the companies constantly seem to add more workload. It's horrible, makes them less efficient, and potentially could cause harm or error in prescription administration. read more
