Got my car detailed today. Initially drove by to check out prices. Raul, an attendant was amazing and kind. I left my car there for them to call me once it was done. I chose the $89 interior. The detailing was good for the most part. Just some smudges left on the back of the driver seat and out side on the side view mirrors. Nonetheless, satisfied with the detailing. However, I will not be returning. What's keeping me from going back is the attitude of Joseph. Got a voicemail that my car was done. When I got there, Joseph and another young male attendant were at the register. At first, both were friendly. The young male coworker jokingly commented that if anything was wrong with the detailing, to remember and blame the name Joseph. I also forgot my ticket and apologized. The young male attendant also jokingly said something along the lines of no worries people forget things all the time, while pointing at Joseph. Joseph ran me up and asked if I wanted cash back for a tip. I agreed. Joseph indicated it would only take debit. Now, I travel light and for the most part only carry my MagSafe phone "wallet" which holds three cards: my driver's license, a credit card, and my Costco card. I did not explain this, as I do not have to. I simply stated, oh sorry I only have credit. This is when the attitude and demeanor of Joseph flipped a 180. He said something "oh that's fine, my guys are getting stiffed". He also said something that I needed to tip. At this point I held my tongue. Joseph and I walked to inspect the car. On the way out, the young male attendant and I made eye contact and he kind of just shrugged. On the way to my car, Joseph continued. He said "for next time, you have to tip". Saying that the note (or ticket) said I had asked for "please do a good job" which requires extra detail and attention, and calls for a tip. After inspecting, I told Joesph, that they in fact did "do a good job". I didn't say anything else as I didn't think I could reason with Joseph and at this point I did not want to tip based on Joseph's behavior. Another note, when I turned in my car and keys, I never left a note or request to "please do a good job". Don't know if this is just a tactic to guilt trip or force tips, but I did not make this request. Needless to say, I will not be returning here due to Joseph's attitude and trying to strong arm me into tipping. Again, I was more than willing to tip, but his attitude completely took that away. Instead of paying his guys a livable wage, he attempts to force a tip from customer and indicates I am stiffing them if I do not comply. Completely unprofessional behavior that ruined my otherwise good experience here. read more

I recently had a disappointing experience at a Chevron location while attempting to redeem a winning ticket. The salesperson was unable or unwilling to locate the barcode and instead of assisting or asking for help, responded rudely and dismissed the transaction altogether. What was most concerning was the behavior of the supervisor, Joseph. Rather than stepping in to resolve the situation professionally, he reinforced the dismissive attitude. As a supervisor, he should be setting an example of customer service, patience, and problem-solving--not contributing to an uncomfortable interaction. Customer service positions, especially in environments like gas stations, require basic courtesy and a willingness to help customers. In today's climate, it's especially important that staff interactions do not come across as disrespectful or dismissive, as this only adds to existing tensions. I hope Chevron will review this incident, provide additional training, and more carefully evaluate the individuals placed in supervisory roles. Customers deserve respectful and professional treatment. read more

Need to address panhandling and the personal safety of evening customers. This used to be my go-to gas station for 10+ years. However, now all too often if you stop there in the evenings, you encounter panhandlers or the mentally ill. Someone's always having a personal crisis and seems to think you gotta fix it. 1) The construction worker covered in drywall dust who just needs you to swipe your card and fill his truck so he can get home. He will pay you back on payday. 2) The well-dressed guy in the new, lifted, red F-150 who forgot his wallet, or 3) the Momma's basement-dwelling zillennial in the orange BMW coupe who lost his phone 1 minute earlier. Because you pulled into the air/water station immediately after him (saw him leave) you must have it and are lying about it, right? He demands you call his phone number, no, ask the attendant. His crippling lack of adult problem-solving (ever heard of Bluetooth?) results in him following you (thru multiple u-turns) for 10 minutes after you bolt because he's giving you the major ick. Where is the attendant when all this is happening? Have you ever walked into the store after 7:00 PM? The attendant is in the back stocking shelves, mopping the floor, in the bathroom, on a break, whatever. Sure this place is clean and well stocked. Until this gas station begins to (staff 2 people at night/hire security and) address the constant panhandling and just plain crazy zillennials, I will get gas elsewhere. read more

got an aux cord adapter (for my iphone) stolen at the car wash. checked my car when i got home thinking it might have just fallen off, but it was indeed taken off my aux cord. you'd really have to pull on it to detach it from the cord. my family and i won't be going back in fear of other belongings magically disappearing. read more

About twelve pumps here. I love their hi tech credit card machine thingies at the pumps! They partner with Vons and I've never seen an option where you can use your Vons rewards to pay down gas prices!! It gives you option to enter your Vons club number and then it'll see if you have any rewards to use to get a gas discount. Mine was a .10c discount per gallon. Totally made my day. For reals. The location is easy to get in/out. They're located in the same plaza as the new IHOP, Vons, Barrel Room. There's also a convenience store (which I didn't visit). This station has non-functioning point of sale gas pumps. The excuse is always "we just updated our software". This forces the user to enter the store. This location just cheated my 84 year old mother, who, admittedly reported she was at wrong pump, but when she clarified the situation she was told by the clerk there was nothing they could do. So, she ended up paying for her gas plus someone else's. Now, the person at the other pump had to have swiped a card, and this info is in Chevron's system. It seems a reverse charge should have been possible, I think the clerk just didn't know how. Nonetheless, said 84 year old can barely walk with a cane and should not have had to go into the store. If the POS units worked, this would never have happened. Better still, no way to complain on Chevron website. Their feedback form is conveniently not available. read more

It's a convenient station to go to at night because it's usually empty. But recently they've updated their pump menus to make it nearly impossible to apply your Albertsons/Vons rewards/discounts. It's almost as if this was done deliberately without any regard. It used to be that you could just enter your phone number and then bam. You're all set. But now? You have to navigate through their poorly worded menu, guess at which function you're supposed to enter your number, and then...it's rejected? Extremely poor implementation. Additionally, they now print a receipt without asking which is a great waste of paper and generally useless to everyone and their pet iguanas. Further, the menu also asks if you want a car wash...AFTER THE CAR WASH IS ALREADY CLOSED!!! Chevron, what the hell are you doing? I often use this gas station since I work near here. There were a couple of employees standing outside just shouting loudly and aggressively at one another across the lot. A customer approached one of the employees asking if he's yelling at someone. The employee then responded back inappropriately. Telling the customer he had "horse shit for brains" ... it was uncomfortable enough that another employee noticed and asked if everything was okay. It just seemed unprofessional to be behaving like this and saying comments like that out loud about your patrons. read more

I've only taken my car here for a car wash once but for some reason my wife like this place. She took her car in today, 17 Sep around 4 pm. When she came home, she noticed a scratch on the back of the car. She showed it to me and I've never seen it and from the looks of it, it looked freshly scratched. She decided to bring the car back and talked to the management. She ended up talking to "Manager Ali". I guess this manager needs to go get a refresher on being a manager. She went there specifically about a scratch on the back of the car, not the other scratches. Manager Ali proceeded to tell my wife that because there are other scratches on the car, the scratch on the back of the car is not their fault. She did not go there about ALL the scratches, just the one on the back. The thing that really ticked off the wife was the way Manager Ali is implying that my wife was just making it up. I highly suggest if you're going to get your car wash at this place, walk around your car or better yet take a video or pictures of dents or scratches before letting them wash it. So if ever something like this happens to you, maybe you'll be able to complain to the management. Hopefully, Manager Ali is not around. If he is, you are out of luck because he sucked as a manager lol. read more

Gas is a little on the pricier side in this station, but I find it always very convenient, because it is located 'downtown' Rancho Bernardo, and is very well illuminated at night and you never feel (if you have to fill gas at night) that you are stranded in a gas station at a parking lot of a strip mall in the burbs. It is just easy, convenient, service there is pleasant. One of my most used stations in the area, as is so easy to get in and out and is spacious. read more

This is a shitty place to do business. If you enter the gas lanes from one direction, you are blocked by other vehicles entering the car wash. Enter from the opposite direction, you are blocked by vehicles exiting the car wash. Worst design I have ever seen. The stars are for the car wash. I've never actually gotten gas here but their car wash service is always spectacular. The men are very kind and thorough. It's $16 for a basic wash that includes an interior sweep as well. My dad used to bring me here and aside from washing my car myself, this is the only other place I trust. read more

This is the worse car wash I ever had a car washed. The car went into the wash with no damage. It came out with paint bubbles on the hood and paint chips off the side doors. You just cannot make this stuff up. I have never seen anything like this in 71 years. The manager, Alijon Uzakov, when confronted by this said there was damage going into the car wash. He gave no proof but figured that a made-up story would work. I suggested that a proper settlement would be no charge and that he is getting off easy. Instead, he insisted on his made-up story again with no proof. He must have learned this from our current media. Who needs evidence? Even when I told him I would contest the charge with my CC and write this review he stuck to his made-up story. Dumb as a bag of rocks and a car wash that if Yelp had a rating lower than one star I would have selected it in a heartbeat. Caution: stay away from this place if you value your car! read more
