I unintentionally got here 10 minutes before closing time and the store manager as well as Mario were so pleasant & kind. Even though I was the only customer at the time, I didn't feel rushed and they were so nice & understanding. I was very touched by their service and will definitely be back. They even honored my coupon that seemed to be expired due to the fact that the cvs coupons expires on east coast time. I came here searching for a CVS specific product. Apparently, this was one of the two CVS stores in the county to have liquid cod liver oil. Not too far of a drive, so no big deal. Walked in and it was a standard CVS. A couple people in line and one check out clerk working. Found the item pretty quickly and hopped in line to do the self service option. It was supposed to be buy one get one for .99 cents but it rang up at the full price. Couldn't figure out how to cancel the order and so I just jumped in line. The clerk was very friendly and explained that they take things off and show discounts after you hit the final payment. The clerk range up my order and confirmed the discount. The store is only 3 stars when compared to itself. One clerk when there is a line and a weird way to show the discount are what put the review at 3 stars. The staff that was there was very friendly and I'll be back to this location because of them. read more

Yes, there were two men there in business attire during the evening ... my guess is they were some kind of state or regional managers. They were clearly checking things out around the store. Local CVS that's walking distance for my family. Been going here for years. Nothing to really review as it's standard customer service. Reason why I'm even reviewing this store is because of Michael's treatment and blatant lie. I purchased multiples of an item that had a sale price. It rung up at the regular price. I informed Michael that's incorrect and showed him the sale sticker--the item was in front of the register. He fixed the problem by manually entering the sale price. Which began the first problem: The Lie. I told him that CVS Policy, which is advertised in front of the register for us customers, states the "CVS Scan Right Guarantee - $4 off if an item scans higher than advertised." Michael erroneously told my husband and I that it applies if we *purchase* the item at the incorrect item. Uh, sir, I used to work at CVS, and my manager and the regulars knew that if something was scanned incorrectly (caused by not updating the sticker price or sale tag on the floor), the customer received the $4 off or free item of under $4. He was really rude about me asking him if he was sure, by the way. I wasn't mean, and I wasn't condescending. I was quizzical. And being second-guessed isn't a reason to be rude. Cherry on top is that Michael referred to my husband and I as "kids" when we were leaving. I didn't appreciate that and bluntly told him, "we're 30 years old. Definitely not kids." He then proceeded to smile and called up the next customer in line by loudly saying, "next kid in line!" Very rude experience with Michael. read more

Erica has ZERO customer service skills, common courtesy and simple manners when tending to costumers is simple and it shows who you are as an individual and how unhappy of a person you are. I feel bad how miserable she is and it's unfortunate how she has to show this persona at her job! I had no difficulty with my prescription, it was ready and it took less than 2min to pick up; she simple was rude, cold and treated me like if I was a HUGE inconvenience in her day, I wish I didn't live close to this time pharmacy, rudeness and no manners and undeserved attitude just should not be tolerated. The pharmacist actually walked up while I was being helped, to answer my question because it was obvious Erica didn't feel like even talking to me! I detest CVS in all of its forms. I think it's an awful corporation and I miss the days of Longs, which I believe this one used to be way back when. I can't speak for the pharmacy here but I did want to write a little note about the employees at this store. Most, if not all, of the employees have been working here for a long time, so it's always nice to see familiar faces. That would indicate that there's (hopefully) good morale behind the scenes, which CVS certainly isn't known for. The manager is a nice fellow. Always very helpful. Oh, one super big plus: Most CVS stores stick to the same selection of candy regardless of what city or state you're in. Seriously, it NEVER EVER varies. Fortunately, this store must have heard me complaining somewhere because they're regularly bringing in new candy, which is great to satisfy my sweet tooth. Overall, I really like seeing the same people working here and it appears that they work well together. You definitely can't say that for other CVS locations, or drug stores in general. On principle I can't give CVS 5 stars due to the corporation's incompetence, but everything else about this individual store is fine. read more

I've been a loyal customer of this pharmacy for nearly 20 years. Whether I'm picking up medications for my family or myself, I can genuinely say that I've never had a negative experience attributable to the employees. While there have been occasional hiccups due to doctors or insurance issues, the staff has always been exceptional. I'm not saying the people here are perfect--they are people after all. Everyone has their off days, and it's unfortunate if you happen to experience that. But from my years of coming here, the staff has consistently shown dedication and kindness. They genuinely seem to be doing their best every single day. Here's a personal example: I have health issues related to my heart, lungs, and connective tissue. On one occasion, while waiting in line, my pulse jumped to about 150, triggering an anxiety attack. The pharmacy staff noticed my discomfort and immediately came out to check on my well-being. Right away, they had a place for me to sit, provided me with something to drink, and were one word away from calling emergency services if I felt I needed them. When it was my turn in line, they even came out to where I was sitting (I was only several feet away from the counter to the side), to retrieve my ID and debit card so I could receive the medication I had been waiting for. If that kind of concern and care isn't 'going well above and beyond', I don't know what is. They will always have my sincere gratitude for what they did that day. And while this may have just been my experience, I know that if anyone else had similar issues, they would spring into action just like they did for me. That kind of sincerity is hard to find. If you take the time to objectively read many of these negative reviews, you'll quickly notice a trend: people are upset over things that the pharmacy staff have absolutely no control over. It's not the staff's fault that they are required by state/federal law and corporate policies to request certain patient information before they can dispense specific medications. For instance, I noticed a review that unfairly criticized Johnathan for his requirement of needing certain patient information, being bound by a system he had no part in creating. It's crucial to understand that such requirements are neither within his control nor within the control of any other pharmacy employees, making it unfair to fault them. I've known Johnathan for years, and he's undoubtedly one of the kindest professionals I've ever met. To me, this pharmacy is, and always has been, a community of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about their patrons. I wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

No hellos, no thank you's. No questions, no advices, nothing. I filled out a pre-Covid vaccine 3 page questionnaire. The pharmacist never bothered to look at them. I've had terrible experiences are several pharmacies some CVS some are Savon And many of them are overworked and understaffed which is just what you wouldn't want for people filling your prescriptions. I recently changed to a CVS close to my house just for convenience and was surprised to find friendly people that answer the phone and have a smile on their face when you go in to the pharmacy. Dr. Nguyen who is usually the pharmacist there and her staff are wonderful. I recently went there one minute after they were closed they were all changed into their street clothes but they said hey no problem would be happy to help you=Five Star Review I wanted to also praise Johnathan who works at the front. This gentleman always has a smile on his face for everyone of his customers which he obviously takes very seriously and Johnathan always asks " how can help you" and I didn't want to miss Dr. Patel who made certain that all of us got our flu shots this year. Hey guys don't forget these pharmacists are doctors And Dr. Patel and Dr. Nguyen are amazing I hope somebody from CVS recommends them for going above and beyond Excellence with Johnathan and another woman I've not caught her name. read more

CVS Pharmacy 1) reporting Duenda CVS as worst pharmacy and 4S Ranch/Dove Canyon as best 2) 6 months with Duenda CVS has risked my life and caused much undue stress due to their incompetence or poor training 3) last weekend, told as a "courtesy", I could have life saving steroids for one day by unempathetic, arrrogant and dogmatic man-boy. Does not deserve a job in healthcare. He doesn't have the heart for it. Today, got insulin without needles??? 4) I may be forced to switch back to pharmacy a few miles away instead of 1/4 mile. At least I can trust the other pharmacy when they say they will fax my doctors. 5) I've had breast cancer (stage IV) and brain cancer (over 14 tumors) over last 4 years. I have seizures with no drivers license. I have a blood clot in left leg. I have sleep apnea. Now, I have diabetes. Anxiety. 12 year old daughter that I'm striving to stay alive for. Your Duenda CVS has caused fear, distrust, tears, anger and stress. And sacrificed my life. Aren't you in business of saving lives? read more

I live in the neighborhood and stopped in this morning at 8:45am for a few items. As I walked up to the register I noticed no one was on any of the registers, so I patiently waited as I saw a lady printing pictures. I thought once she was done she would ring me up...NO! She saw me and didn't even acknowledge me at all, instead she kept printing pictures and putting them away. She made eye contact with me 3 times and never acknowledged me. I looked at my watch and I stood waiting for 7 mins. Finally another customer stood behind me and then she finally said I can help the next person. I was annoyed that this was my experience as a neighborhood shopper. As she rang me up I looked at her name tag and PEGGY is her name. She needs to be retrained in customer service and to treat every customer with respect. I would still shop at this CVS because I have never had this experience with any other clerk but her. If when I go back and she is the only one at the register I would leave all my items and go to Rite-aid. Fix it CVS because we don't need people like PEGGY to be the first experience when shopping. read more

This is for the pharmacy department. Whenever I call in asking about my prescription the woman who answers always asks me to hold. I end up on hold for 20 minutes and no one ever picks up. I just called today before one and she asked me to hold. I was waiting for 20 minutes again and when I called back the automated system said they are closed for lunch. Love this place! All staffs there are very nice and friendly. I'm impressed how they handle the customers during busy hours under stress. They are very patient and professional. One time my son was dancing inside the store then I scolded him to stop and there's this lady at the cashier told me it's okay let him do it he's just being a kid. I have been going to this CVS for 10 plus years. I stopped going to this location because they made some management changes however I decided to give it another try. I'll make it short, I tried to use a 30% coupon that was tied to my other account..didn't realize I had another account and was told I couldn't use and the manager stated I needed to call call the extra care folks. And while she was helping me at the self checkout, which she persuaded me into using, she made a comment about making sure the right phone number was tied to the coupon. It didn't work either..Needless to say, I walked out, called corporate, cancelled my carepass which took two phone calls to complete; and I will simply no longer be using their services again. Not worth my time and money. Yes, I have told several people about my experience. Some great employees like Michael. I wish CVS the best. read more

I went to the pharmacy for a friend today. She is near 80 years old and has not been feeling well for days. Went to pick up a prescription for her. She received a text saying it was ready for pick up. The person (the only person there) was Jonathan. I had my friends pharmacy insurance card with me, but he Insisted on needing her DOB, so despite having her pharmacy insurance card, I had to call her. The prescription was not there, was not filled. I told him it was filled in Escondido by mistake so the PCP resent rx to CVS on Duenda. He said my friend needed to call Walgreens to cancel the rx so he could fill it. I said my friend has been on the phone all morning while not feeling well trying to get this medicine. He said "All she has to do is....... ". I found Jonathan very unhelpful and uncaring. The Duenda pharmacy, for all intents and purposes, is dead. No one is in that store, and the pharmacy is never busy, compared to the CVS on Bernardo Ctr Dr. which is crazy busy constantly. Even tho Bern Ct Dr CVS is busy beyond belief, they, 9 times out of 10, will go out of their way to help a customer. Jonathan clearly had the time to go the extra mile to help, but did not. He did not seem to call at all, and had this glazed nonchalant look about him. If he was my pharmacist, we would have had words. Not at all impressed with him. He should not be working with customers. He should try working at the Bernardo Ctr location to see what good customer service and hard work looks like. He wouldn't last a day there. Needless to say, I left the pharmacy with no medicine for my sick friend. read more

Before I begin with THIS particular visit I will give a brief back story... I live walking distance to this store but don't shop at this location. I usually visit another CVS out of the way from anything I am really doing. Why you ask? Well I'm glad you did, let me tell you. THIS LOCATION HAS POOR (want to use another four letter word but wont) customer service. Michael that works in the evenings is great. He is awesome but the old ladies that work in the day SUCK. Horrible customer service, never smile and are very short tempered. They treat you like you are doing something wrong when you give them a coupon and they are just not friendly people. Especially PEGGY. I have made a complaint with the store manager at this location and another location because of Peggy. I could go on but I wont. This trip was Okay and that is why I gave a 2 star. It had been a while since I shopped here because of the "wonderful" service. When I walked in today I say Peggy at the register and was wondering what kind of GREAT service to expect this time. I was surprised to see she was in an okay mood. Still doesn't smile but no arguments this time so that was a good thing. I still try to avoid this place. Oh yeah, there is this weird lady that sits in this silver car in the parking lot. She sits there for hours talking to herself. Today she was having some sort of garage sale. Went in this morning to grab some headphones I found a few pairs that were $15 and $20. I was walking around looking for some cheaper options when the manager stepped out from one of the isles and stuck his arms out and said "do you need help with something?" As in"what are you doing here" I told him I was looking for some cheaper headphones and he said "I can't think of anywhere around here that would have any" as I was being herded out I seen a white display case with car chargers and auxiliary cords and things like that. I started to reach into the display when he said "that's just cords and stuff" I found a huge selection in there for $5.99. The cashier was a very nice guy though. 10/11 at 9:45am. This is a pretty upscale neighborhood (which I do live in) and I was wearing my work clothes (I own a small pool cleaning company) so I probably looked a little ratty, but I was definitely treated like a scumbag in here. This CVS location is my neighborhood go to store! The store is always clean and well organized but it's really the employees here that make coming to this location enjoyable. Michael in particular is a super star! He is engaging, helpful and ALWAYS friendly. He is so kind to everyone that passes through his line regardless of their attitude (I've seen some grumps over the years). The ladies in the afternoon are also always very nice and helpful. Service in the retail industry can be tough. But the staff here make me feel good about my purchase and time spent there. Michael is always positive and sporting cool fun flair to celebrate the holidays, and I like seeing my local store celebrating with me. The prices are typical CVS, but oftentimes there are sales, and I feel good about the prices afterwards.
