Was told 20-30 minutes when I called and dealt with the horrendous automated system. Lady on the phone super polite said it would be 20-30 minutes. I arrive one hour later at 6pm and was told it wasn't ready and would be 20-30 minutes. Annoying. It's giving Idk what's going on. Idk how to properly do my job and I just tell customers whatever to get them off of the phone. Well CVS for sure has lost my business. I am sick with severe allergies, and wanted to buy Sudafed 12hour. First, they ONLY accept IN state licenses. Even with an out of state ID and veterans ID, they still refused service. Also I looked up the kentucky law, does not specify needing an in state ID. Even after showing them this, they still refused service. Not going to this CVS or any other CVS for that matter. read more

I'm livid. Never have I ever been treated so poorly by a manager (Dee). I loved going to this CVS because it's convenient and the employees are so friendly. But my god, if you have an out of state license, DO NOT TRY TO BUY ALCOHOL HERE. I was denied alcohol for an "invalid license" even though my license doesn't expire until 2020. I'm 22 years old. I bought wine from this store two days ago, and I've been buying my alcohol there since I moved here in January of 2017. While trying to explain this to him, he was very dismissive and rude saying "Well you're not buying it from me" and "There's a Walgreens down the road. They'll sell it to you. Have a good day" He even told me that he understands it's a valid license, but it's not turned horizontal like his.. and proceeds to show me his Kentucky license. That's not even the first time he was rude to me though. He checked me out one time before and I was trying to find my CVS card (I'm blind and it was already in my hand lol) and I made a little joke about being dumb and he said something like, "yeaahhhh it's the one that says 'CVS' on it." But it wasn't in a funny way. It was in a, "this girl is dumber than rocks" way. Anyways, I went to the liquor store across the street to buy my beer and I talked to the guy in there and he said that was a law 3 years ago, that your license has to be horizontal to be sold alcohol, but that law has since been lifted. I've been in Richmond for over a year now and have used CVS since I've been here. There have been a few hiccups, especially while getting established. But we've gotten things ironed out. I'm set up on automatic refills. That has gone smoothly. I get a text when my prescriptions are ready. I can check for and pick up family members' prescriptions with no problem. The pharmacy staff offer to and get in touch with my doctor to get refills on things when needed. That's really been helpful. The store is always clean and well-stocked when I go in. The drive thru could use some trash pick-up. The staff has been friendly and willing to listen and help each time I go in. I really do appreciate the service and how well they've been doing for me and mine. Really the only problem I continue to have is more with some of the clientele that frequent the place. I just don't always feel comfortable going in because of it. read more
