I called because I had one question about passport photos and I didn't want to drive all the way there. The one star is because the phonetree was a "virtual assistant" and I'd put all my money on CVS going out of business because they've never heard the term customer service. The virtual assistant OF COURSE COULD NOT ANSWER MY ONE QUESTION SO it connected me to the front of store. This is where I play the fun game of "let's see if anyone answers the phone in the amount of time it takes me to drive there." And sure enough, CVS ALSO FAILED THIS. I let the phone continue to ring as we did our passport photos and I watched the one employee continue to ignore it. What is he paid to do besides ignore calls? read more

CVS Pharmacy has odd hours of operation and low standards for employees. The Pharmacy is closed for lunch from 1:30pm to 2pm daily. People who are ill need their prescriptions immediately, yet service has been reduced 3.5 hours a week. Leaving Sutter Urgent Care on Saturday, I was told that the RXs were ordered and would be ready by the time I arrived. I will be sure to let Sutter know of their wishful thinking versus reality. The line grew at the Pharmacy as customers waited for employees to open after lunch. Eight people ahead of me when the app informed that my RXs would be filled Monday. I requested earlier and returned Sunday at 11am hoping they were ready. The customers quickly formed a line and waited for employees to arrive, they trickled in three to nine minutes late. In prior retail jobs we were told to be prepared to help customers when the doors opened. It's a shame that this center lacks the leadership to staff adequately and train employees well. Their standards need to be higher: your customers deserve better. read more

Jade from The pharmacy department is and is always amazing and always going the extra mile. On My recent trip to pick up multiple prescriptions Jade was on top of things in a competent, respectful Manor even though they were extremely busy and appeared to be under staffed.. I currently have stage 4 terminal cancer and my prescription was delayed once again But Jade took me to the front of the line after my last prescription was filled instead of waiting behind six other customers in front of me. Mr Jade I appreciate you more than you know You made my day that day Thank you so very much I hope CVS keeps you happy And they don't lose you because you're a great employee And your great interacting with customers! read more

The staff members can be very helpful at this site, but during busy times you're on your own. CVS corporate needs to address some ineffective practices: 1) The pharmacy phone number is impossible to reach. Don't waste five to ten minutes on this rabbit hole, you have to go in to sort out any problem. Not easy if it's pouring rain or you're ill. It's maddening when it's a problem they caused. 2) With hundreds of products the aisles should be labeled with A and B sides. For example- 4A & 4B would clarify where to look. 3) Leave some carts outside for elderly/fragile customers. The parking lot is dangerous with speeding cars darting around from Safeway & fast food locations. Mirrors and signage would help CVS mitigate risks and employ ADA state and federal laws. read more

Had to get an emergency medication for my autistic son. No one answers the phone. No emails or communication until after 2 weeks, I got an email telling me my son's prescription was finally ready to pick up. Horrible! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They send texts telling me my prescription is ready but when I get there it's not. They say the texts are automated. WTF!. My doctor had to send : 2 faxes and call twice. Patients can't call and speak to a pharmacist they have a new system so you can leave voicemail and they'll call you back when they feel like it. They're so rude and each person behind the counter has different rules for filling a prescription. Different dates even! I think they don't realize we're coming in there to pick up medicine. read more

I am mobility challenged and need to use the inside scooter provided by CVS. When I went into the store the battery was plugged into the electrical outlet. I got on it and it wouldn't work. The employees apologized and said a new battery had been ordered but it hadn't arrived yet. I told them that this happened to me at this location two months ago and I was told the exact same thing. No major concern for the disabled here. read more

I had used the Rocklin CVS Pharmacy for years until I ran into a young female behind the counter who obviously didn't want to be there. Thinking her snarky attitude was a one time glitch in her personality I soon realized, nope, that was her lifetime flaw. I switched pharmacies to another local center only to discover this must have been where she had been trained - everyone there was distrustful, bland and obviously just waiting for an opportunity to go home. So, I went back to CVS in hopes THE young woman was gone. Im now back at Rocklin CVS and all I have left to say is, "There's no place like home!" read more

This location is TERRIBLE!!! My original CVS location closed and was moved to this location unfortunately. I was getting a new RX filled with them. I got notified from the pharmacy the day the RX came in that there was a problem filling it and that I needed to contact my Dr. After calling CVS to find out what the problem was, I was advised by CVS my Dr. needed to get preauthorization prior to getting the RX filled. Never had this problem before. CVS told me that my insurance probably changed with the new year. OK. I called my Drs office; she submitted the request to my insurance for preapproval. After going back and forth between my Drs. office and CVS I was told on day 7 (1 week has gone by trying to get this problem resolved) by my Drs office that it was resolved. The day my Drs. office called me I called CVS to see if it was now being filled. Per there automated crappy system I was informed that the RX would be ready the next day at Noon. Yay! Figured it was good to go. The next day before heading across town to pick up the RX. I decided I better call to make sure that it really was being filled. I was then informed by CVS that there still was a problem even though their crappy automated system told me it would be ready at noon. Nothing telling me there still was a problem. After mod. the dosage I finally got meds on day 8. RIDICULOUS! read more

I have been a loyal customer at this CVS for about 10 years. There are others closer to home but i go out of my way to come to this location because of the staff. i was helped by kwanita at the pharmacy today and it was honestly really upsetting with the way she was not only treating me but other customers. she got annoyed with me when SHE was having a hard time spelling my name even though i nicely repeated it to her multiple times. she threw my medication at me along with others who she was checking out. her overall demeanor was also extremely not nice, she was talking to me and others with disrespect and attitude the whole time no compassion or anything. just cold attitude responses. it was just really upsetting as i was nothing but nice and respectful towards her. read more

They're so friendly. Always saying hello and goodbye. Pharmacist is very helpful and always takes the time to explain meds. They're fast and always apologize if they start to get backed up. Updating review. I can't say enough. Pharmacist CALLED ME because I usually pick up my daughters meds on Tuesdays and I was late. If she hadn't called me it would have been a bad situation. I work a lot and lost tract of my days. So thankful and appreciative. !! read more

Filled with young girl empls with no customer svc skills....every time that I've been here. No greeting to customers, one was even texting on her cell ph at the cash register. Tonight, I bought a greeting card & some stickers, was not even offered a bag. She just shoved the purchases & receipt towards me & looked at the next customer. Stupidly, I walked out, but paid for it later with a rumpled greeting card envelope... I should have made her give me a bag. Typical self-absorbed Millennial behavior. read more

This is the worst pharmacist I have ever been in contact with. She refuses to fill prescriptions without further verification of history and yet SHE refuses to contact a former pharmacy to get the information. Absolutely abhorrent behavior and she is on a power/control trip. read more

Get your prescriptions elsewhere. These guys are rude and don't have time for you. I had my doctor send my prescription here and I went there 5 hours later to pick it up. Three ladies were in the back chatting and giggling. After 5 min I asked if they were busy or if I could pick up my prescription. One lady came over to help and said they got the notification from the doctor but they are out of stock. I asked how come they didn't call to let me know and she said it's probably because they have a few boxes of stuff with what I need inside. That didn't make sense but I asked her if she means that they have it in the boxes on the floor that she pointed too, but just need to open those up. She said yes. I asked her if she could do that for me and I was told it would be too much work to look through the 3 boxes for me. I asked when would they have time to do it and she didn't know. I was told to call back the next day to see if it was ready. So needless to say I called my doctor and had them send the prescription to Walgreens instead. I'll never shop at CVS again. read more

I normally appreciate when stores are closed on the holidays, but I have to give a big thanks to CVS for being open on Christmas Day and a family member needing some cold medicine. Really saved the day. Customer service wasn't the greatest but understandable if you're working. I hope the staff was making double pay. read more

This review is specifically for their Photo Center. The only reason I used them was they were closest to my home. I usually use Costco, but they are slammed for the holidays. So I sent them several high quality files (I am a professional Graphic Designer). Bonus to them that it was ready in 15 minutes. Too bad the quality was abysmal. My color laser printer can do better than their prints. Color was horribly off and printing looked flat and amateur. On top of that, it was twice as expensive as Costco and Walmart! Quickly sent a reprint to Walmart, and there I received standard looking photo prints. A little farther away, but now I know NEVER to use CVS for their photo department. read more

The cashier had no care for her job and was very rude. She overcharged me for photo prints. When I brought this to the attention of another employee he agreed that I was overcharged but basically acted like it is what it is. He pulled his manager over fairly quickly which I appreciate but she also acted like it was no big deal and wasn't kind either and I did not get any kind of apology. I get we're all out here just trying to do our jobs but when your employee wrongs someone you're expected to be at the least fake apologetic whether you care or not. I'm disappointed in the absolute lack of care and detail orientation. And other people were having issues with them in just the 15 minutes I was there and the employees did not care to apologize for those mishaps either. read more

This pharmacy is terrible. They are unorganized, they forget you're waiting and you end up sitting there for more than you should. they get irritated with you when they messed up! And their online ordering system....all for looks, doesn't work and was just a rate of my time. Very disappointed....never coming back here! read more

unbelievable customer service!! both ladies I spoke with on the phone were very helpful with trying to get me my medicine. went to the CVS in Folsom on Bidwell and that guy was a huge douche. only was able to fill half my script so he kept the paperwork making it extremely difficult to fill at any other locations. the staff at this CVS went totally out of their way to help me so much as even trying to track down my doctor so they could straighten out this mess. This pharmacy did not inform me that they had switched my prescription from the name brand to a generic brand made in India by Cadila Healthcare (a manufacture sited in the past by the FDA for contaminated medicine). They already had the medicine concealed in a bag stapled shut, so I was not able to see that it was not the same brand as I usually get. I opened the bag after getting home, but did not tamper with the original manufactured bottles and returned them to CVS pharmacy the next day, but they refused to exchange them for the name brand or refund the $406.76 I paid for them. Buyers beware! Now I can't get my medicine, and I've lost the money too. read more

The last guy obviously hit them on a bad day. Some people are just unkind and cranky. I have dealt with this pharmacy for years and have never had a bad experience. Perhaps a new employee let them down and the manager just needed to be told. People need to have some professionalism when dealing with these kind of situations. The only people complaining on yelp are usually immature or mentally problematic ones. read more
