This pharmacy is incredible. I switched insurances away from Kaiser and was actually excited to be…read morea patient here. They do so much good for the community. Covid shots. Mpox shots. They really care. That was my impression before I became a patient and it's been my experience since I've become one. Support a local business, you'll get great service and have a wonderful experience. I actually can't say enough about these folks.

On May 8, I contacted Pucci Pharmacy to ask whether I could bring in expired or unused prescription…read moremedications for proper disposal. I was told over the phone that it was acceptable to do so. I have been a customer of Pucci Pharmacy for over a year and have had my compounded hormone creams filled there through my healthcare provider. Although I live in the Natomas area and the pharmacy is not close to my home, I have continued using Pucci Pharmacy because I had never experienced any problems before this incident. On May 8, I went to the pharmacy with a bag containing old prescription medications for disposal. After waiting in line, I placed the bag on the counter and explained that I was there to dispose of the medications. The employee assisting me responded that she did not think they could accept them. A younger employee went to the back to ask someone for clarification. During this interaction, I became increasingly uncomfortable. I was already feeling ill because my stomach was upset and I urgently needed to use the restroom. In addition, the employee's tone made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. As someone on the autism spectrum, situations involving confusion, confrontation, or inconsistent communication can be especially overwhelming. The employee then asked whether I knew when my garbage service collected my trash and suggested that I remove the prescription labels and dispose of the medications myself. At that point, I said, "I'm sorry, I need to leave." As I walked away, I heard someone yell, "You can't leave this here." A male staff member then called me. He seemed frustrated from the beginning of the conversation. I explained that I had only brought the medications because I had been told over the phone that it was acceptable and that the pharmacy needed better communication between staff so customers would receive consistent information. Rather than trying to understand my concerns, the conversation became argumentative. I told him I was becoming frustrated because I felt I was being treated as though I had done something wrong, despite following the instructions I had been given. I asked what we could do to resolve the situation. He responded, "I'm not going to take this," and then hung up on me. Afterward, I called back and spoke with a manager. She was kind, understanding, and professional. I explained that the entire experience had been triggering for me because I am on the autism spectrum and that I believed the pharmacy needed better communication and greater sensitivity when interacting with customers, especially those with disabilities. The manager apologized, and I believed the matter had been resolved. However, on June 30, when I called Pucci Pharmacy regarding my prescriptions, I was placed on hold for an extended period before speaking with someone who identified himself as the owner. He informed me that, because of my previous visit, the pharmacy had decided they would no longer fill my prescriptions. I asked why this decision had been made, especially since I believed my conversation with the manager had ended on good terms and I had been a loyal customer for over a year. The owner stated that he had watched the security video and claimed that the staff had tried to help me, but that I simply walked out and left my "trash." I explained that I did not leave trash. I had brought old prescription medications because I had been told by the pharmacy that I could do so. Yes, I left the pharmacy because I felt overwhelmed, but I also stated that I was leaving. I did not intend to abandon anything improperly, nor was I trying to create a problem. Unfortunately, the conversation with the owner also became argumentative. I told him that I intended to file a complaint because I believed I was being treated unfairly as a person with a disability. He responded that the decision had nothing to do with my disability. I am deeply disappointed by how this situation was handled. What began as a misunderstanding caused by inconsistent information from the pharmacy ultimately resulted in me being refused service after more than a year as a customer. I believe the situation could have been resolved through respectful communication rather than confrontation. I also believe businesses serving the public should ensure their staff receive training on effective communication and appropriate interactions with individuals who have disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

The staff at Wellness Pharmacy are incredibly responsive, accurate and caring. They are quick to get in contact with the doctor's office if a new prescription is required or clarification is needed. If my parents need something filled rapidly and delivered, they're on it. I fully entrust them with managing my parents' prescriptions and wholeheartedly recommend them. I've worked in specialty pharmacy for 15+ years and have dealt with many pharmacies, large and small, professionally and as a consumer. I know an excellent pharmacy when I see one. Since that first referral I have been regularly getting medicine for one of my pets there, and have even requested another pet's prescriptions be sent over to them. The staff and pharmacists are exactly who you want on your side when you are dealing with the complexities of medicating pets. And what is cool about this pharmacy is that they don't just cater to pets, but they compound for humans AND animals. After my experiences with them, I would definitely request prescriptions for myself, or my family, to be sent to them, too! They have gone above and beyond, to help me get the right type, and quantity, of medication for my pets. And because of that professionalism and care, I will continue to go to them for my guys' compounding needs. For some context: for years, I had tried to use pills for my guys. I'd give them whole pills, placed them in edible pockets, crushed them up, mixed them in with wet food and broths -- it didn't matter. It was ALWAYS a hassle. And while yes compounded medication will cost a little more than buying tablets directly from the vets. Remember: you are paying for a professionally made solution, designed to taste appetizing for your pet (if given orally) or to be easily administered externally (transdermal). The price is nothing compared to avoiding the likelihood of unintentionally traumatizing your pet, and yourself, when you try to do it on your own. Make it easier on them and on you, it is worth paying a little bit now to save everyone on the chaos in the long-term. And if you have a pet that has a chronic condition, you're going to want to make medicine-time as smooth as possible, because it's going to be a regular part of having them in your life. In the end, there is nowhere else I would rather go. If I were to move out of this area, I would still have my guys' medication sent to Professional Village Compounding Pharmacy, they are worth the drive. They are worth your business. If you need something for your pets or your loved ones, or yourself, this is where you want to go.

HA! Reasons why I love CVS and this one in particular, is the fact that parking is never a struggle and the employees are friendly and helpful. Most of the time, things are in stock and I don't have trouble finding what I want, need, or want to think about buying. SIGN UP FOR THE EXTRABUCKS! The coupons, ExtraBucks, and 2% cashback makes it so fun. There was once a time where I couponed SO HARD that the balance went to $0.00! I love to challenge myself to see how much LESS I can pay, for an item or two, compared to big retailers. I shop for makeup here. I've been coming to this CVS for so long that I remember when they didn't have ELF and now ELF makeup is back! The brand I am most loyal to here is Wet N Wild. I love the self-checkout feature. If there's ever an error or I need help, the employees are timely and communicative. One time, I had this coupon that was not working and the manager went above and beyond to ensure that the coupon worked for me! I will never talk bad about this place, ever. The pharmacy can get busy at times but I've never had a hard time with the staff. CVS is a retail store so there's always stuff to be put out on display; the workers do their best and I appreciate their efforts and work. When Christmas is over, their sales are worth checking out so you can load up on gift bags, gift card holders, and wrapping paper at half the price or cheaper. All in all, this CVS is my favorite. I walk in with a coupon and leave knowing I got a good deal on my purchase.

You can make one selection and reach a pharmacist. They offer bubble/blister packs which help you keep track of your medications and doses. With this special package you will know if you took or missed a dose of medication... I love it because I am forgetful. You can also opt for regular bottles as well if you like. The pharmacist are super helpful and treat you with kindness unlike the chain store pharmacist. They offer delivery service for your medication monthly on a schedule so no more trying to set up a delivery run. Going into the store is quiet and not overwhelming packed with sick people waiting for their medication. Should you need to wait a few minutes there is a large atrium with sitting bench and vending machines to boot. I use to dread the pharmacy but now it's not dreadful anymore. They are experienced with insurance issues and working with doctors on POA. They have a store with essential medication you might need for everyday ailments or colds. Unfortunately, this pharmacy is no longer on the preferred pharmacy list with my health insurance…read more When I filled a script here recently, they could only fill one month's worth of meds, but I didn't find this out until I picked up. It would've been helpful if they told me when they ran my insurance and then give me a choice whether I still wanted to go through them to fill my Rx and get only 30 days of meds and then have to come back 2 more times in the next 2 months to get the rest of my full script of 90 days or to go somewhere else. I'm not sure if it's same cost to fill a 3 months script split over 3 times or not, but the inconvenience factor is a consideration for me. When I found out and the cashier explained why, she was not friendly about it. She was kind of curt and borderline rude about it, like I should've known (things could change even with the same health insurance every year) and that they have no responsibility to let me know ahead of time that they can only fill 1/3 of a 90 days script now. Anyways, they also started charging a surcharge for credit card usage and this wasn't always the case. It's only 25c for $10 charged for example, but it's the principle of passing on costs to customers when it's really the overhead that a pharmacy that's quite established should expect. Or only accept cash, but I imagine that would turn away many customers. In any case, I may have to find a new pharmacy now, unfortunately. Even though I want to continue to support a small business, the customer service piece should be as good if not better. We walked around a bit afterwards and although the gifts they sell are different and unique, the sticker shock was unreal.
